    1. Do you eat back your calories

I eat most of them back, leaving a little bit of wiggle room to account for bad food measuring. :)

    2. Are you losing weight consistently.

Yes- Eating them back has been key for me, and I broke through an over 2 year plateau once my body got over the extra food. Before MFP- I would eat around 1200 calories period, and completely stalled out. Now I really try to get at least 1200 net and to create a 500-700 deficit a day ONLY.

Yes and Yes- started losing more when I started to eat them back (but to be honest I don't eat them all back just about 40-50% back)

No I don't:/ I have been losing weight quickly and until that ends I don't want to change a thing! My caloric limit is 1,500 cals a day but I aim for 1,300 on less intense days and 1,400 on days I work out hard! If I'm hungry on either of these days I always eat more but I'm usually perfect right where I'm at!

    1. Sometimes. Depends on how many there are. I will only eat up 300 - 500 back.
    2. When I'm doing everything right, yes.

    1. I do, if I don't workout at night. (It's just too much work to eat 600 calories at 9 pm).
    2. I am..at least a pound a week.

Yes I eat some of them (approximate 50%). I have consistently lost 0.5-1lb per week since the end of Jan.

    1. No, unless I am really hungry and than I will not eat all of them. I actually try to stay under or at my calorie goal and not eat them. But I have over 120 lbs left to loose.

    l. Yes!! I have lost 24 lbs in 3 months. It's usually 2 lbs or just over every week. I exercise 6 days a week for 45-60 minutes and 3 of those work outs are weight lifting. I think that is extremely important. Muscle burns more calories even at rest.

    1. Yes (although please don't look at my recent diary -- I was out of town, and then I've been sick and can't eat much.)
    2. Absolutely.

    2. Yes, consistently. I've lost 71 pounds in the past 4 months (with lots of exercise and lots of water drinking :-)

    Good question!

Yes, but not all. I make sure I net a minimum of 1200 though.
Yes, I have averaged between 1 and 2 pounds since I started about 20 weeks ago.

Yes, I eat enough of them back to get me to at least 1,200 net
Yes, except for the 5 week stalemate that was a result of NOT eating them back.

No. I tried to at first but was not losing any weight. I have to stay below a certain caloric intake to lose weight.
Yes, I am losing consistently for the most part except for an occasional plateau.

    1. I try to, but I often am below my goal even without exercise. I'm short and I just don't need as much as MFP recommends. I do not need a 1200 minimum, my BMR is only 1488 and shrinking.
    2. Yes, I am consistently losing weight.

Yes and yes. However, my net goal is lower than 1200 (I'm a shortie). It used to be around 900; then I bumped it up to 1000; these days it's 1100, and will probably stay that way for a while.
  • I'm still playing around with that one, usually I have a hard time eating my goal cal... But sometimes when I am really hungry I do eat them... So yes and no

Not regularly. I only eat them back one or two days a week and I exercise 6 days/week. I think a high calorie day here and there is helpful to boosting my metabolism.

Yes. My loss is consistent and I am very close to my goal, without plateaus.

For the first couple of months I was on MFP, yeah I was eating them back because I was told to and NO, not loosing weight consistently. Now, Eating SOME of them back every other day (i'm zigzagging cals) and YES, loosing weight slowly but consistenyly! And I strongly believe that they don't need to be eaten back until you're closer to your goal weight and not needing to burn anymore fat (when you're ready to build lean muscle, then the muscles will need to be fed). Just my opinion though :o)

I totally agree with this. I too zig zag my cals and am loosing consistently.

No, I do not eat my exercise calories back ---- except for the times when I've had bad eating days and gone over my food intake goal.

Yes, I have been losing weight. Once I get close to my goal (23lbs to go) I will reevalute and see what works.
