When I wasn't eating them back I was losing 1-2 lbs. a week. I started eating them because so many people said I'd wreck my metabolism ...But, it hasn't worked for me. My weight loss has stalled when eating back my exercise calories.0

1. Yes
2. Yes - 25 pounds in 4 months.
3. Love the way you posed this question!!!! :drinker:0 -
1) sometimes I eat them back--sometimes have a rough time meeting just the regular calories.
2) haven't been with MFP long enough & haven't gotten my scale yet (ordering 2nite)0 -
1. Yes! I dont always eat them all back; i aim to get to 1400NET calories (minimum of 1200NET) most days instead of my 1600NET cuz its hard to always eat back all of them.
2. 42 lbs in 15weeks.0 -
1. No, but I make sure I hover around 1400-1490 calories on workout days.
2. Yes, I lose about 0.8 pounds a week.0 -
1. I always eat back my exercise calories.
2. I didn't start losing until I did.0 -
1. Wow…complex question for me, I do try but often fail due to lack of planning and my schedule. But I have tried many different calorie options. I did not worry about calories for the first 68 pounds and did not keep track of what I ate just began watching calories when starting MFP but it is day by day, when I don’t eat them all, I tell myself it is calorie cycling (a suggestion from one of my fellow peeps).
2. Yes Although in saying that, if you average my loss it works out to be about 2.35 pounds a week over the last 40 weeks, in saying that many weeks can go by without losing a pound and others I lose nicely.0 -
No I don't eat them all back
Yes I am losing consistently0 -
I've only been at MFP two weeks now, but 1.) No, not usually, although sometimes I eat some of them back, and 2.) Yes, so far so good.0

I eat back some of my exercise calories, but not all the time. I have been losing weight so much faster than I ever even imgained!0
-
Yes and yes!
( in fact, the only time my progress slows is if I don't eat my exercise calories!)0 -
1. I usually eat some back but I too am zig-zagging my calories so I go a few days eating them back and a few days not eating them back. If I have a high bad carb day, I do not eat them back.
2. Yes. I am consistently losing weight each week. But even better I am losing inches too.0 -
Yes, unless I burn 700+ calories because my tummy doesn't like 2,000 calories in a day.
Yes, 1-1.5 lbs/week.0 -
Yes I eat my exercise calories.
Yes, I'm losing consistently - averaging out at 1kg per 10 days or about 1.6 pounds a week.0 -
1. My calorie intake is reduced for weight loss, so eating back my exercise calories is almost required so I don't make myself sick. If I'm plus or minus 200 calories from my goal, I take it as a good day.
2. I've lost 10 pounds so far. Lots of boxing. Little carbs.0 -
No, I don't eat my calories back.
Yes, I have been losing weight consistently. 33lbs gone so far0 -
No, never eat them back

1. I eat back about half the exercise calories.
2. And no, I am not losing much weight yet.0 -
Yes, I eat my exercise calories, otherwise I'd go under 1200 net calories.
Yes, I've been losing 1-2 lbs. per week over the past 5 months (Primal Blueprint/low carb).0 -

2. Yes I lose consistently (25 lbs in 25 weeks!)0 -
1. Do you eat back your calories
YES
2. Are you losing weight consistently.
I've already reached my goal weight.0 -
YES I eat them.
YES I lose consistently.

Yes, unless I burn 700+ calories because my tummy doesn't like 2,000 calories in a day.
Yes, 1-1.5 lbs/week.
My tummy LOVES 2000 calories a day!0 -
Yes and yes. I plateaued 6 months by not eating them.0
-
1. Yes, at least 50% of them.
2. Yes.0 -
So far I have tried eating them ...that didn't go well, gained and lost the same 1 lb. I tried cutting sugar ... nothing ..watching sodium ..nothing, I'm exercising 5 to 6 times a week, most days burning around 400 cals, or 300 on weight days.
Now my plan is to only eat back half and see what happens. I am short so maybe I need less.0 -
1. NO
2. YES
However, I think I should definitely let you know that I do not use MFP's recommendations for my calorie goals. They are severely low. They think I should only eat 1200 per day. I eat around 1500 for 3 days straight and the 1 day around 1800 (and repeat) because I am calorie cycling. But I average about 1520 daily during any given week.
If I was sticking with MFP's guidelines, I would probably eat those exercise calories so I didn't starve to death.0 -
No, not really.
Yes.0 -
1. Most of the time I eat them
2. Losing but verrrrrry slowwwwww0 -
1) Not usually, but I don't do massive workouts (only 200 calories or so a day) and I'll happily eat them if e.g. I'm going out.
2) Yes.0
