Cathy, GREAT idea!!! I'm so in. I think we need to ramp it up a little here - just posting isn't enough to keep everyone on track so we need MORE! Great idea - I'm looking forward to it

Katy, so glad you're feeling a little better - and I hope that weight stays away!!

Cass, I know you're busy girl but I'm going to hound you until you get on here! Get it?.. "hound"?.. PedalHound?... uggh I didn't mean to lol

    Kristin, yay for a challenge!

Lauryn, if the candy doesn't cause you to lose your mind then all the better for you!! Sounds good!

Okay, back to canning my delicious spiced apple butter!

I just came on for the first time and see what I see.....OHHHHH :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou: :flowerforyou:

I'd hug you if I could! I don't get online much during the weekends...I'm pretty busy most weekends....Rhiannon...I'll make a better effort to get on.

So you may have seen my C25K post....I'm going to become a runner again. I was talking with my hubby about why I do so good and then fall off and then do so good and fall off....his suggestion was that I don't really WANT this. It made me think....what is it that I want?

Now this is going to sounds really retarded...but I think I have a great body. Its just a great body that is a few sizes bigger than I want it to be. But my DH LOVES my body and my daughter doesn't care. So I have to make this journey about more than just being thin....cause I figured out through contemplation...that I don't WANT to be thin....I WANT to be strong, healthy, energetic. THIN is not in my heart....lean, toned, STRONG....that is where my heart is. Running is the best thing I ever did for my body and mind and spirit. You spend 30-45 mins with your own head...pushing against your body...willing it to go forward. To keep going. Running gives you time to think and delve into your heart. I WANT TO BE A RUNNER!

    Sooooo. I'm gonna be.

I love you girls and I'm totally in this for the long run (hahaha no pun intended).

OH!!! And...I'm on TOM...so I'm TOOOOOOTALLY NOT WEIGH IN TOMORROW!! hahaha, but I am going to get up and start my C25K!!

your on girls!!11:laugh: :glasses: :drinker:

cass....run cass run. i just start training running a few weeks ago, found this in a magazine where you walk/run for a length of time each week it changes and by the end you are running 15/30 mins straight. i really works great for me. before i hurt my ankle i was running, but i didn't have a plan to begin running now i do and each week it is easier to run longer. this week it is run 3 mins/walk 4. next week it will be run 4/walk 3.

need to get a few things done.

    back later, cathy
  • Thanks Cathy! :drinker: Yep that is what this sort of is....intervals between jogging and walking, at first its a lot more walking than jogging. Increasing the jogging part of it and decreasing the walking part. Good for you for running sister!! How many days a week do you do it? The C25K is only 3 days a week, however once I start to get into it I think I'll probably want to go more times than that. That's once my body is used to running again mind you!

Cass, I am with you on the running. I was a runner in highschool. Cross Country. It was great I would love to be a runner again. I have never heard of the C25K though. I will have to look into this.

I am also up for the weekend challenge. I agree, it will be hard to do with Halloween but I keep making excuses as to why I am not accountable for my eating and it has to stop. I am going to be super accountable and I am going to run this weekend too. It may only be a few blocks but I will run a little here and there in my walk. Thanksgiving is going to be here before we know it and so we must put our all into this!

    Lets go ladies!

I'm doing better today than this past weekend!!

    Daily Calorie Goal: 1200
    + calories burned: 273
    - calories consumed: 1247
    Calories remaining: 226

Usually I'd have my late night 200 calorie poptart, but alas poor poptarts, we are out! It's okay, I had a Chex Mix Turtle bar with dinner. Yummy!

Onward towards tomorrow to keep up the good work! (Not just me, but all of us!)

    Hi Ladies,

I've missed you. Sorry about the long lapse. I am feeling better now. I had a headache all day sunday and the tylenol didn't seem to work. If I ate something it went away, but usually came right back.

I know I will see a gain tomorrow, but I didn't expect to be perfect. I just have to get back to my healthier lifestyle again. It is getting colder and going for my walks outside are not happening as much. I think I will have my husband drag the tredmill from the basement to upstairs so I can try watching tv and walking on it.

Pedal, Glad to see that your getting us all back on track. Hope your doing ok.
Kristen, Good job on the run.
Katy, You still lose even when your not feeling so great. I don't know how you keep it up, but good for you and hope your all better soon.
Cathy, your running program sounds interesting. Do you run on a tredmill or outside?
Cass, Keep us posted on your running program too.

Hi everyone I missed. Eeek Check in tomorrow.

    Hey Ladies,

I know I forgot to check in this week. My weight is 230 which is the same as when I started. I hope for some progress this week. :grumble: I have been working out 3 times a day since Sunday. Hopefully that will spark some pounds to move off. :)
