Just been looking at the meaning of names, and wondered if your name meaning, was true or opposite to the person you are.
My name is Jenny and the meaning is white ghost.......................Well I am fair, but I wouldn't say I was deathly white.
My partner's name is Robert, ....meaning Bright, Fame...............I wouldn't class him as bright, and Fame..... well the only fame he's had is when a group of neighbourhood children knocked on the door and asked if he was a pop star, as they'd heard him singing through the car window,on his way home from work.

So in my case, it's a load of bull.!!!!!!

    My name is Sarah and it means princess apparently, dont think it describes me, i'm not incredibly 'girly', my hubby's name is Paul which apparently means small....hmmm.....no that ones not right either lol!

    ~chuckles~... Depending on where you read, my name means either 'noisy' or the equivalent of 'babbling brook'. I'm definitely not a brook or river, but noisy or babbling? Well, if my sister or niece read this, I'll let them weigh in.

    My name is Aimée, which is the pluperfect past tense of the French word "Friend"... meaning "Friendly" or more correctly, "Has been known to be Friendly".

    I guess that's me - I've worked in Customer Service for a few years... they haven't fired me yet.

    Neither of my names, Windy and Wendy, really have any meaning. We all know what Windy means, and I am neither breezy nor gassy. Tthe best I can tell everyone thinks Wendy was created by J.M. Barrie for Peter Pan. Some people say Wendy means friend, so I guess that does fit!

    My kid's names
    Cale- (gaelic) means thin, slender - he is 6'1 and 200 pounds- so no doesn't fit
    Maxwell - (old english) means Maccus' pool - wth? In latin Max means greatest, so that does fit him
    Zachary - (hebrew) means yahweh has remembered - again wth?
    Wynn - (old english) means bright friend, definitely fits her!

    I will say, I have 3 sisters and 4 kids and all of our names fit our personalities more than what the name actually means fits us

    Phyllis means mythical girl or green foliage. Well, I'm not a plant by any means but I do love to putter in the garden. Mythical? That's disturbing. I try to be genuine and transparent with most people so for me, it's all hogwash. :ohwell:

    all of my names (first, middle, and last) have something to do with water...\
    first name means - island surrounded by water
    middle name means - waterfall
    last name means - island with water running through it

    I think I am pretty easy going and go with the flow and so sure, it makes sense that this would be my name...however I am getting marrried and his last name translates to "nine-evil" which in reinsanace time translated to mean "666"...so umm I don't think I'm the devil...makes me question him though....hahaha Just kidding :) (but his name really does mean 9 evil :))
