    Hey everyone,
    Sorry I don't have time to comment on everyone's posts today. I need to get busy but I am really not wanting to. I need to start cleaning the house but there's so many other fun things to do!!!! I'm trying to do better with my eating today. I need to work out and I know I would feel better if I would but I really don't feel like it. I know when AF comes I am going to wish I had worked out this week. I'm still feeling puny so I don't feel like jumping all over. I could do some seriously cleaning and maybe that would be enough to count. But how do I get the motivation to do it? I am going to see if DH will take Alex to church with him tonight so maybe I can get some play time in then? I kind of feel like what's the point to clean the house two days before the party because I am going to have to do it all over again 3 times before then! Maybe I will do Shred today and clean tomorrow afternoon? I don't know. I'm rambling. Sorry. I feel pretty fat today so I should work out. :laugh: You ever feel like you just don't want to sweat today? That's where I am at. I already showered today. I don't want to shower again. lol
    Off to put Alex down and then Shred. :grumble:

    Okay so it wasn't THAT bad!:laugh: I shredded. I really do have time to do it. I need to quit making excuses.
    So what am I thankful for today? That I got off my rear and worked out! :bigsmile:

    I knew you could do it! Today, I am thankful that 1) my dumb dog came home after getting out AGAIN. 2) my b.day party planning is nearly complete for Saturday. 3) that I am going to my parents' house again tonight so they can entertain the boys for awhile & hopefully I can sneak to Target by myself for a few minutes. 4) that I don't live in Alaska where they live in the darkness for 6 months out of the year. It is 4:20 & nearly dark out. I'm going to lose my mind by January.

    YAY! An evening by myself! DH took Alex to church with him. Alex wasn't happy about leaving me behind though. So it's Ninja Warrior and relaxation time! Yipee!

    Good for you-- hope you enjoyed your evening off-- what a nice breather!! Believe it or not, I actually had an hour a couple weeks ago when EVERYONE was out of the house. It was something!!

    Sara, I see what you mean about Mr. Blank's shorts-- definitely a colorful dude. But, I love this guy-- I love his positive and inspiring words at the end-- actually, I think he's Jeannie in disguise because he's all about trying to stay positive and finding something to be proud of-- call me hormonal, but it got me emotional at the end just listening to it-- I'm very down on myself, always, so it was sweet to be encouraged.

    MM - woo hoo for time alone! I didn't manage to get out to Target by myself so my "alone" time was nixed. :tongue:

    Marla - If it was just Billy on the dvd, I would be able to do it. I think I'm more annoyed by his back up people that are always chanting "1...2...3....4....5...6...7...8...1...2..." and looking perfect. :happy: Maybe that really is Jeannie & her pic on here is the cover. :laugh:

    Tabitha's refusing to sleep at night for the past 2 days & I've grown quite tired of it. I had big plans to go out with the dog this morning but that's not possible when you have a baby attached to you for the better part of 6 hours. She's SO not like this, either. She's always been the BEST sleeper so this is just fascinating to me that she's flipped some sort of "I can't sleep alone" switch. I hope it doesn't last long. :grumble:

    I also did try the Biggest Loser Cardio Max last night...none too impressed. So I just ordered Zumba off of eBay. I've heard such great things about it on here & I love to dance (its been years since I've been GOOD at it, though). Plus, it comes with a Zumba Kids workout & I think my boys would love that! Hopefully it won't take as long to get here as the TJ Fat Blaster I bought over a week ago & still hasn't arrived. :grumble: The joys of eBay.

    Mornin'. I am feeling pretty cruddy this morning. A nice chest cough. I really hope I sound better by tomorrow when I go to take Alex to his first hippotherapy class. I don't like meeting new people and sounding sick. I don't think I am contagious because Alex and dh haven't gotten it.
    I am going to the store to get some shopping done and get stuff for Alex's party. Then I need to clean today. :grumble:
    I am thankful today that no one else is sick but me! Have a good day all!

    Hi all!
    Ive got a busy day here as well:grumble: Gotta get the usual house cleaning in, plus laundry, along with my workout that i have to do first thing this morning (I find if I put it off til later, later may never come lol) plus I have a Drs appt later this evening. Im thinking I should throw something in the slow cooker so I dont have to worry about dinner too when I get back this evening.

    So, I weighed in today for my weekly weigh-in. Only 2 lbs lost this week:ohwell: It isnt the 5 or 6 I been getting every week so far, but hey its a loss and I'll take it!:laugh: And I was wondering...ladies....:blushing: I just started my "monthly" 2 days ago...could this be affecting my weigh-in today? Would I perhaps have a couple extra pounds floatin around because of it and everything will be fine again by next weeks weigh-in?

    Ok, off to get my day started...have a happy and healthy day everyone!:drinker:

    Thanks for letting me vent yesterday, girls. I ended up getting spaghettis and meatballs at Macaroni Grill. I ate half of the meal (about 715 calories) and brought the rest back to the hotel for lunch today. I worked out yesterday so eating there didn't make me go over my calories.

    I guess I was being too hard on my hubby too. I'm lucky he doesn't think I'm fat and thinks I look good no matter what and I do need to appreciate him for that. Yesterday when we went out, I wore a sweater and jeans that fit right and boots and he said to Harley, "Mommy is wearing her hot-mommy clothes."

    Roni - TOM could certainly be playing a factor in your weight. 2# is still great, though! Think about, it you've' already lost 17#! You're doing fantastic!!! Good luck with the dr. tomorrow. Nothing too big, is it? BTW, the slow cooker is my friend. Sometimes dinner wouldn't get done if we didn't have that thing.

    MM - could it be allergies? I hope you feel better by tomorrow! I can't wait to hear about it! Alex is going to do great!

    We leave tomorrow. It's going really well. I'm having fun not having any responsibilities but Harley and myself. No dogs, or dishes, or laundry, or grocery shopping. I could get used to this!

    I'm gonna miss having a gym just down the hall. At home, I have a treadmill but it's old and cheap with a short tread. I always feel like I'm going to fall off. Here they have the big expensive ones. It's nice. My husband asked if I am going to want a gym membership and I said no because I'm not willing to leave Harley. (I've been laying her car seat next to the machines while I workout.)

    I could get used to that lifestyle, too. I just need a break from everyone for a solid 24 hours...any one know where I can sign up for that?

    Loree - maybe you could talk your husband into an elliptical or a new treadmill for Christmas. I'm actually impressed that he suggested a gym membership after the stink he put up about you watching your calories & everything. Maybe something sunk in & he realized that you want to do this for yourself!

    I'm off to exercise. The Invisible Fence is installed & now I'm in training mode with Mr. Floyd. Hopefully he'll catch on quickly. He isn't doing too bad so far, but you can tell that he's trying to figure out how to beat the system. Not this time, pup!

    I will have to finish grocery shopping tomorrow. I need to get busy on cleaning now. Oh how I love it!:grumble: I'll check back in later.

    I ended up having to get little drink umbrellas from the liquor store for our party on Sat. LOL Luckily, my mom went & got them for me so I didn't have to take all the kids. That's just a recipe for disaster.

    Did you try a cake supply store or a specialty bakery, like some place that makes wedding cakes. They might have something. Or a craft store like Michaels or Hobby Lobby or whatever. Good luck!

    I was going to ask for a HRM but we decided to get a new digital camera kinda as our gift to each other. Maybe for my b-day in April or our anniversary in May.

    I don't think he minds me working out during the day as long as I don't "obsess" over food and calories to him.

    Today, I am proud of the fact that I didn't hurt someone at 2:15 am when my dog woke me up by puking all over my bedroom floor...twice. And my couch...and his bed...and in my tennis shoes...and pooping on my kitchen floor....I think he ate something bad.

    That was the last straw for the couch, though. After I cleaned it all up off the first cushion & went back to bed, he puked on the other cushion & the springs where the other cushion was missing. I think it was the straw that broke my couch's back. That thing has been through 2 acid reflux babies, a giant pregnant woman sleeping on it for the better part of 3 pregnancies, 2 active boys & 2 dogs. I think it is time to bury it.

    Loree - be careful heading home today! My dh told me one time that I was "obsessing" & I told him that he's just not used to hearing me actually talk about something that I'm doing that he must be mistaken. I'm usually talking about him or the kids so give me this, okay? Men. :tongue:

    Oh no! That stinks! My little dog was sick a couple weeks ago and I got so tired of cleaning up puke so I know how much of a pain it is to deal with.

    As much as you love your dog, when they puke everywhere it makes you secretly think of giving them away...Or is that just me? Are you saying it's time to bury the couch? Or the dog?

    LMBO, Loree. The couch needs buried. I just spent crazy cash trying to KEEP the dog...otherwise that answer might be different. :wink: Dog puke is worse than kid puke, imo. It smells SO much worse. *gag*

    Good morning ladies!
    3BB sorry about the dog getting sick. My cat does that often. She's almost 16 and in good health but when she runs out of food or water she pukes. Not fun. Not as gross as dog puke probably, or little kid puke.
    I've been thinking that next time I decide to have a party, I will make sure my DH is available and willing to help. He hasn't done anything to help. I was counting on him being here in the morning to entertain Alex while I decorate the cake and he's planning to go to a men's breakfast. He rarely wants to go to these things. I'm kind of irritated if you can't tell. Right now Alex screams at the table if I am not sitting right there waiting for him to finish eating. I need to get away. I really need DH's help in the morning! Erg! My husband is great but the last two weeks he hasn't helped me out while I've been sick or dealing with Alex's sickness. Maybe I expect too much from him. I was hoping he'd be here to help vacuum one last time or to help with last minute dishes or something. Okay, I'm done venting...for the moment. Maybe I'm just stressed and not feeling good doesn't help.
    Work out today? Cleaning house. That's going to be it. Oh and I need to get my push ups in too.
    I had better get started cleaning. I'll write later and let you all know how the horse therapy went today. :smile:

    Hi ladies!

    Just a short check in for today, my morning seems to be slipping away from me already lol and Ive accomplished NOTHING yet:grumble:

    3BB-The Dr went fine actually! I had to see a new cancer Dr and was so nervous and aggravated about it (Had to get a new Dr for insurance reasons:explode: ) but it turned out that I really like her, shes very sweet and very thorough! And shes going to do my first surgery next Saturday so she let me stay off the chemo for this coming week!!:drinker: :happy: :love: THAT was the best part!!:flowerforyou: So all in all it was a positive thing that I had to change Drs.

    What is with the animals?? lol my pekingnese just puked all over my freshly made bed about 30 mins ago:grumble: Its so hard to get mad at him though, lol I was ohhhh Brady NOOOO! And the very next second I was awww Brady you gotta tummy hurt?:heart: lol Animals!

    MM- I sure hope your day gets better hun!!:flowerforyou: :smile:

    why, oh why, oh why do we bring animals into our homes, anyway-- who's idea was this anyway? Who thought this was a good idea? We have a 6 year old siberian husky who has to be chained 24/7 or he splits the second he can. He's a total pain in my fanny-- definitely NOT a pet lover.

    My standard question to hubby is, "Remind me again-- what's the life expectancy of a husky?"

    Only about 4-5 more years left of this torture-- :wink:

    Oh, Roni! I'm so glad it went well & that you get a little break from the chemo! that's got to be nice for you! About my dog, though. I hear him start puking & I yell, "GET YOUR **** *** OUTSIDE!" :bigsmile: He, obviously, did not make it....7 times he did not make it...He's puked all over so much that he's run out of places to lay down at the moment. Poor guy just doesn't feel well.

    The trainer that came out yesterday told me that huskies are their #1 "double enclosure" dogs. 6' fence & an Invisible Fence. She said that if the IF doesn't work for any dog, it would be a husky. I LOVE dogs, but we seem to get "special needs" dogs. then again, we've adopted 2 dogs that were older & not trained at all so that's part of the problem, too. Gina has some serious anxiety issues & tears apart her bed when she's not feeling secure, like when someone comes over to visit & there's a little bit of extra chaos. Floyd will be a great dog once this, whatever it is, is gone. He's already learning the fence boundaries pretty well so I have high hope that once he's on the mend, he'll be a super dog. Cats, on the other hand, I can do without. We had one cat that lived 2 days. Sick little kitten. Luckily, he died at the vet b/c that would have been horrible. Our second cat, Otis, I LOVED! He was the most awesome cat. He lived 14 months & I found him dead under my piano bench leaving for work one morning. That was horrible. Now we have Lucy. She's horrible. She's on weight watchers cat food & is still waaaaayyyy overweight. She sits at the bottom of the stairs & screams at me when she's hungry. Not meowing, SCREAMING. She's lovely. I'll get off my soapbox now. LOL

    I'm sorry you're up 5# today, Marla. :mad: Stupid TOM. My mom is just on the edge of menopause so she's looking forward to finally being done with all that nonsense. I hope you have a better day than yesterday! Maybe I'll send you another little red x. :bigsmile: :heart: I'm good like that. hehehe
