You were excited when Nintendo first came out

You played Q-Bert on Coleco Vision

You played the board game "Life" and "Candyland" because it was brand new

You had a "Easy Bake Oven" and "Flower Making Basket"

You woke up Saturday morning to watch Smurfs and Pee Wee's Playhouse

You would sneak and watch Bennie Hill when your parents were not around

You knew the Simpsons originated from the Tracey Ullman show

You would watch "Star Search" and "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" on Sunday

You traded "Garbage Pail Kid" cards

If you owned a Cabbage Patch Kid, wore acid wash jeans, did the running man at a dance, thought a members only jacket made you cool.

The members only jacket did make you cool lol. I still have my Cabbage Patch Kid

I was born early 70s and this is what I remember in the 80s (UK):

    Wearing leg warmers.
    Jelly shoes
The jelly bag that all the school girls had to have - in some cases matched the jelly shoes
    Batwing Jumpers
    Big hair
    Big padded hair bands
Green Goddess (UK's version of Jane Fonda!!)
Saturday Multi coloured Swap Shop then replaced with
    Saturday Superstore

OMG...I remember all of this stuff!! Ahh...those were the days! I LOVED my childhood! I didn't read all of the responses but..

Did anyone mention Hypercolor shirts?? I had a pink one.
    NKOTB was my first concert.
Had a huge Kirk Cameron poster on my wall.

Oh, yes: 3-2-1 Contact!! Remember the Bloodhound Gang? I remember seeing the modem they used - it had a cradle to put the phone in and could pretty much only communicate directly with another computer (which also had a modem).

And not only did Cookie Monster eat cookies, but Bert & Ernie were roommates, Forgetful Jones was hilarious, and Guy Smiley's game show's and Kermit the Frog's news flashes were common fixtures on Sesame Street!

They still use Bill Nye, the Science Guy in school. My kids love him!
