Not to mention the leg warmers that coordinated with your sweater/sweatshirt of the day! Seeing how many people could pile into a honda civic to go to the store after school. Ahh the memories these things invoke! Such awesomely good times!
  • if you owned a pager....played with POGS...
  • Disney and The Muppet Show on Sunday nights. You always had to wait to see the second half of the Disney movie the next week. When Leo DiCaprio started on Growing Pains. Seeing all the Star Wars movies and ET in the theater. The Princess Bride (favourite movie although Labyrinth is up there too).

OMG-Rat Tails-I work with a family where the grandfather and the child both have them- brings back bad memories every time I seen them.

When guys permed the back of their hair.

In Canada- all the show on TVO- Polk-A-Dot Door etc, Dr. Snuggles, Today's Special. . .

When it was ok to only have 3 tv channels because you played outside most of the time anyway.
  • New Kids on the Block (when they were new!) Still my favorite today! <3

I miss the Mickey Mouse Club from our youth. Today's is CGI and awful.

Oh how I miss being a kid in the 80's!

The Madonna "Like a Virgin" performance at the MTV awards was scandalous (not to sound old, but now we're lucky if they wear clothes)

The original Rocky,Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street movies
    Bueller, Bueller, Bueller?

Your first cell phone (called a car phone back then) weighed about 5 pounds and was the size of a brick and there was no "text messaging" on it

Underoos & Garanimals for those of us who were fashion challenged

And like, gag me with a spoon, like it was like totally awesome and radical to like talk like a valley girl. Grody to the max!

In your sophomore class picture, you're wearing a shirt with the collar "up".
You ever asked to be gagged with a spoon.
You owned a Jordache anything, or you remember when Jordache jeans were cool.

I've not read all so apologies if repeats but....

A UK child of the 80's was just not cool without a harrington jacket...

Dr Martens with leggings under ra-ra skirts...

Sony walkmans, all the richer cool kids had one (i'm sure they were about £60-100 quid when they came out over here!)
