    WOW!!! :noway: :noway: :noway: I'm going to get my butt kicked next week . . . and love every moment of it:happy: :happy: :happy: . Sooooo excited about this challenge. It was a slow start for me with my injury but I'm up and into it full swing now. Come on everyone we can do this!!!!!!

    I love seeing the hard *kitten* side of you Lori!! I really need someone like you around when I'm thinking bad thoughts. Full of motivation and not afraid to kick my *kitten* when It's needed.

    So I'm thinking of how many extra miles I can do for the 100 mile challenge. hmmm how about 6? That's only 1 extra 6 days a week. I'm sure that is pretty doable.

    Ok better get back to the books. Have an awesome day everyone. I'll be back to log everything in. And remember you signed up for this challenge for only one month, that means one month of sticking to all the challenges. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!! JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF!!! and remember perseverance is the key:happy:

    In looking over the week 2 challenge I have decided that I am nuts to stay in this challenge!!! I am definitely going to need modifications on some of these. I will walk 7 miles (toward the team's 100 mile goal) in addition to my usual that I walk three times a week. This will be a total of 10 miles on my week, plus I will do the extra miles on the days of the challenge that he has assigned it. I will be under calorie goal each day because I will have no time to eat any food because I will be walking, doing the challenge, or passed out on the couch. LOL!!

    Lori, do I need to contact Gary for the modifications on the ones I won't be able to do, or will you?

    Just to formally introduce myself, my name is Elana - I'm 23 (24 on Aug. 15th!) and a health coach - so my job at work is to motivate others to change their behaviors, and so I constantly work with myself (and rely on support & help from others) to achieve my weight loss goals. Can't wait to get to know everyone on here!

    I will contribute 10 miles to our team goal of 100 miles this week!! I walk about 1.5-2 miles a day, so I am definitely stepping it up for at least a few of those days! woooo!

    I did not drink enough water today though. I am working on this but for some reason that is the hardest thing for me to do is get that water in me.

    I'm "supposed" to start working on my distance walking this week, so hopefully I can contribute quite a few miles to the teams 100. Do you just log in every day and tell you what we accomplished?

    She's BAAAACK....for about 2minutes. I don't actually get home until tomorrow, but I finally got to a wireless connection...was too far back in the mountains!! However, I'm a little closer for tonight, but we're busy tonight too!!

    Water: Over... WAYYYYYYYYYYY over!! One MUST stay hydrated in the mtns!!
    Push ups: yessss....thank goodness for BodyPump!!

    DO NOT PANIC OVER WEEK 2!!! I WAS PLANNING SOMETHING FUN FOR US TO DO AS A TEAM THEN I GOT GARY'S BEAST WEEK AND I'M LIKE WHERE CAN I FIT THE FUN IN, LOL?

    Bonnie, YES I will handle getting the modification info for you. We will take it day by day and I will post modifications on here incase anyone else needs them too!

    It's a good thing school doesn't start until Aug 22... Gary might just have to be my substitute because I will be crawling instead of walking...

    I will have to just use the 'Push Through' strategy I use for my students. No excuses, just do your best!

    Just completed logging & I'm under my calorie goal along with completing today's challenge & water intake.

    I gotta get some sleep. I'll get caught up on all of the messages here in the forum tomorrow morning.

  • Kari, I will get a clarification on the weigh in. I want it to be Monday am or Sun pm and allow it to be up to each person. I will have to see if that is ok with Gary.

    I drank way more than 64 oz today, stayed under my calories thx to working out and did more than 25 push ups!!!

    Tomorrow's challenge is 25 squat lunges!!!

    Elana I'm not a computer geek but the way I put our team banner in my signature is by first uploading it to Photobucket.com then using the gif link and pasting it in signature. I have to take time this weekend and update our team banner with all the new member names!

    Also I will be keeping Diana Nyad in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow as she starts her 103 mile swim from Cuba to Florida with no shark cage. And we think this challenge is tough.

  • Wanted to introduce myself! Just joined the team on Thursday!

    I am the Director of a Prayer House-where people can come and receive prayer 6 days a week. I'm a makeup artist, costume designer, own my own jewelry business and my hubby just directed a movie that is coming out in the fall/winter.
    With that said, I have essentially put my health on the back burner for years. I've been too proud to ask for any help and embarrassed that I needed to. Wow... that was hard to write. My life has always been about helping others but somewhere I got lost in that.

    I AM SO THANKFUL TO FIND MFP. I plan to make the very most of it. One the first day of logging, I was eating pizza rolls. Today I have logged more fruits and veggies than I thought possible.

    Regarding my profile name... People have told me since my teens that I look like Wonder Woman. It is a great compliment but also very humbling and sad to me as I look more like her 'plump daughter'... But that is about to change! I will not be sad to hear people mention Wonder Woman to me anymore! :)
