  • Hello everyone, I'm alive and well. Been busy working and getting familiar with our new puppy, Ben. He is a handsome Lab blonde colour and full of energy. The cat's have received him well and Buttons has put her paw down! As a couple of weeks have passed Ben is grown taller and larger than Buttons but he backs off when she quotes the law to him.

Weight is yo yoing again. I'm beginning to think of the thyroid? Can't seem to do anything unless I eat under 1000 calories. That is not enough to keep me sustained at rest. Oh well off to a wedding today and hopefully a safe travel day.

Keep at it ladies, don't give in or up. Something will come of your efforts.

And for all of you who thought I died of old age or just was sent out to pasture by Barbiecat this one is for you. Especially Sandy.

Upon hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95 year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Katie told her grandmother that 2 people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble.

"Oh no, my dear," replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding and out on the Dong."

She paused to wipe away a tear, and continued, "He'd still be alive if the ice cream truck hadn't come along."
