Im sure there are extras that have recently joined. Our team captain is SommerJo (http://www.myfitnesspal.com/sommerjo ) who you can message to join and send starting weight.

This weeks challenge is to burn 500 calories each day for a total of 3500 calories, which will equal 1lb gone!

I look forward to chatting with you all and gaining support while we lose the weight.... I KNOW WE CAN DO IT!! =)

    Aww... thanks Sparrow. Added you to the list tishaloses. =) Now we can have somewhere for our team to chat.. Feel free to add me ppls. Im off to do my daily exercise...gonna have to fit in something extra to get that extra 100 cals to make 500. The quick walk to work MIGHT do the trick...but not sure...well see..

    Go Puple! I've got my bike ride in for the day, but still have to do something to burn about an extra 150 calories for the day!

    I'm going to add an additional 15 minutes to the elliptical (from 30 to 45) to get to the 500 mark. If that doesn't work I guess I will have to get on the recumbent at home sometime today. Maybe watch the news at the same time and get some agression out. :)

    I've got about 90ish calories to go for today. Went horseback riding this morning and then did my 30DS dvd (level 3 day 21). Guess I'll take the dogs on a bit of a longer walk tonight after work... maybe a mile walk for them instead of their normal 1/2 mile.

    Tomorrow I will have the 30DS and I'll have my first pole class tomorrow night (hour long). Need to try and figure out how much that burns lol... or what to list it under.

    Awesome thread already -- I love reading that we are pushing extra hard to burn the 500 calories. those extra few minutes are gonna pay off come friday!!!

    Right now I'm a bundle of nerves -- my stepdaughter is in labor, right this very minute. Normally -- I eat. Today I'm going to walk. About 30 seconds after I hit "post reply" i"m setting up the laptop on the treadmill and I'm going to walk thru the worry and excitement.

    It's been so long since I made the time to get my sweat on -- today may be slow -- and it may take forever to get to the 500 cal burned -- but I have approx 50messages and 30 friend requests to add to the list.

    I'm pickled tink that we have so many amazing -- inspiring -- and motivated members in our group. I wasted the opportunity in July to lose the weight -- I'm not letting August slip by me!!!

    Mowing the lawn tonight may be my calories burned for today. Gonna have to give myself a treat for it though since I have balanced my day out so far without any exercise planned. May have to do a bit more though, especially if my boy steals the mower. I can still get him to cut the grass since he is only 6 :)

    My CW is 161 and hoping to see 150 or less by the end of the month.

    Just wondering -- has anyone else ever been walking on the treadmill -- when a really good song comes on and you decide that dancing seems like a good option??

    I'm totally counting the calories between losing my stride/balance and throwing myself off the treadmill (to escape from falling off , of course) and convincing myself that it'll be ok if I get back on.

    43 min so far -- walking 2mph -- 278 calories burnt

    I replied to a dozen emails -- added a few new friends -- multitasking is fun!!!

    Haha, sorry to hear about your treadmill mishap, Sommer. 500 cals is a LOT of exercise. I'm feeling determined today!

    I just hit 500 calories -- per my hrm -- 1hr 16 min 52 seconds -- but since I'm not done responding to emails n such I'm gonna keep goin :)

    My treadmill of course says 284 calories burned. so -- if I hedge my bets and walk til the treadmill says 500 calories -- I should be golden right? lol

    Knowing that this was starting tonight, I was prepared rain or shine. And it did rain.

    So, kickboxing it was.

    *Whew*

    Hope you all found the time to kick some of your own tail tonight, for burning calories' sake!!

    I would be more than happy to share! This morning I did 65 minutes of Turbo Jam a 45 and 20 minute workout. Then I did squats because my legs drive me crazy and I do them everyday. That's where my weight seems to almost always land. Takes me 9 minutes. Then on to Ab Jam which is a 20 minute workout and I only do it on M-W-F. Last I was on the treadmill for 25 minutes at a 7.0 incline and 3.7 speed. I have short legs so I can't do much faster unless I run but I burn a lot of calories because of the incline. I hope this helps. I would love to go to the gym but I have two kids and I can't make it and deal with child care.
