    Yesterday I stayed within my calories and did a 60 minute Zumba class. Today so far, so good....did a total of 40 minutes Zumba (at home via youtube) and exercise bike.

    QOTD: What is your favorite kind of exercise to do and why?
    ZUMBA!!!! I love it because I can just get lost in the music and forget about anything that I'm stressing over and I especially love doing it in the class setting because I really need the "grown-up" time since I'm a stay-at-home mommy!!!

    Today has been good so far I am having a hard time resisting my urges to eat while I'm at work so I'm basically trying to distract my mind from wanting to eat. Didn't work out today but the day is still not over hopefully I can get some kind of physical activity in. Hope ya get to feeling better Leah!! Oh and anyone feel free to add me I can use some encouragement and I can give some too. :) Sometimes giving up is too easy but in the end you will be thankful u didn't.

    QOTD: So far I am enjoying Zumba too! I tried gym last year but my lungs could not take running on the treadmill and my gym instructor was sort of strict about 'running only now'. He would come and notch up the speed and keep standing there so that I don't turn it low again. So I quit (ashamed but really chest pain is something i can't bear...leg pains I tell myself they will get better...but stitch in chest ...umph :( ) But Zumba makes me sweat in enjoyable manner...I worked 60 minutes yesterday and it felt like 30 mins in gym..so happy I found something I enjoy :)

    FOLLOW ANY SPECIAL DIET: Ultimate goal is to follow the Canada's Food Guide recommendations. I have a secret HATE for calorie counting!
    DIET GOALS: Cut the night time binging! I am not against a night time snack or two, but my night time eating is extremely excessive. My secret shame? Most nights I binge eat a day's worth of additional calories...
    EXERCISE GOALS: At least 4 days of working out per week (I call this "Winning the week"). I currently average 3 days (legit)
    OTHER GOALS: (1)- Get more sleep! My starting goal is at least 5 hrs/night; (2)- Be a nicer, happier and more energetic mom. I am a single mom of 2 (boy = 6, girl = 4) and am "nice-mean" at best; (3)- reunite with 'fun-me' again.
    FUN FACT: I am a closet psychiatrist/therapist/social worker. I find people to be EXTREMELY FACINATING! I love hearing their life stories. To me, people are never ending books and real-life movies. So, if you need to talk or just want 'somebody' to hear your or to lay your burden down on, I'm your girl. Just one of my MANY secret addictions. LOL!

    QOTD (10Aug11): My favourite exercise?

    I am a cardio junkie!!! Almost any kind of cardio is my thing. I love any kind of dance work out (Zumba ROCKS!); Turbo Jam; Turbo Fire; Hip-Hop Abs... the list is endless. I just love to move and shake my thang! LOL! My dream is to be an outside runner. However, years of wear-and-tear on my joints from various sports have left my knees shot to hell. So, that dream may never be realized. But, who knows, maybe once I drop this 70 - 80 lb baggage I'm carrying, the dream might still have a chance of living on. Until then? I say: BRING ON THE DANCE!!!!

    A: cardio with in a sport! Basketball for sure!! I don't even realize I am sweating I get that much into the game!

    QOTD #2: How did you find MFP, and how do you like it compared to other programs/sites/diets/etc you've tried in the past?

    A: I was told by a cousin about the site, but I have never used anything like it before. It helps keep me accountable thats for sure!!
