  • Um... I looked up Split Squat Hops and the only thing I could find was basically an alternating lunge but you hop up? If that's right, I'm just going to do alternating lunges because I literally can't pop up like that with my knee. Here I go!

  • TODAY'S CHALLENGE! Day 4: 40 ZigZag Hops, 3 sets of 21’s, 2 sets of 15 Swimmer’s Press The video for Zig Zag Hops can be found on this website. http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/plyometricexercises.html Anything can be used pillows in a row anything. A rope. The object is to hop some distance. A rope would make a line but you need to shoot for further than just the other side. You will go left and then right to = 1 zig zag hop. Remember when landing allow your muscles and not your joints to absorb the impact of the landing. This is a body mechanic as a team we need to start practicing to keep our joints healthy.

    It's ok. It shows us where we are at and how much we need to improve. I'm sad over my 27% score.

    Awww that was soooo sweet. TY! Yep it's not easy. Many days I did NOT want to workout or eat healthy. Just have to get back up and keep pushing.

    MY goal is to reach 20% body fat! Gives me something to shoot for. I'm confused on the difference between this calculator Gary gave us to try and the BMI one here on the site. Guess I just don't understand the difference between the two.

    Thinking of taking tomorrow off, but I’ll do the crunches and the jacks. We’ll see if I can do more.

    Hi everyone! :)

    Feeling a little bit better today - thank you for all the get well wishes! Over on water, under on calories...

    Didn't push it too hard, but walked 2 miles, did 50 jumping jacks, and 50 crunches.

    1 set of 21's, 1 set of swimmer's presses, and 40 zigzag hops.

    still congested and have a low-grade fever... but definitely not as bad as I've been! hugs to you all - keep up the amazing work!

    Ok....off evening!! Developed a major sore throat...hard to swallow, yet trying to catch a bunch of deep breaths...ouch!!!

    exercises...all I did was walk a little and test boxes (lugging them around!)
    Didn't do the challenge exercise, so will have to double up on them either tomorrow or Saturday

    50 squat kicks - check nicely done by the river in between my 10k
    200 crunches - check 100 down by the river and another 100 when I got home
    2 miles - check
    I've only done 50 JJs so far. Will be finishing them off tonight when I get home along with the 2 sets of burpees.

    For yesterday (Thurs 8/25): Had completed my challenge exercises the day before. I got my food & exercise diary completed for yesterday and YAY...managed to stay under with all of my busy-ness. Glad to be travelling home today.

    150 Jump jacks to complete my 200 for the day
    2 sets of 20 Burpees
    water levels are keeping my feet from touching the ground and I ate all my calories except for those from my exercises

    3 sets of 20 woodchops 3kgs - check (as above)
    200 jump jacks - check (just completed)
    100 bicycle crunches - check (as above)
    3 sets of 20 tuck jumps - check (as above)

  • Due to the fact that I spent all of yesterday creating logos and preparing things for next months challenge I had no choice but to make yesterday my rest day. It's ok cause I'm making up for it today and just got 3 miles in at the track and going back again this evening.
