My final check in for the August challenge. It's been a great month! I've wanted to bail a couple of times but worked myself through those thoughts!! LOL!! I walked farther today than I ever thought I would. I thought I was going to pass out, for real, but didn't. My walking Buddy was awesome and perky the whole way. I had just a little water left in my bottle when I stopped at our clubhouse on the last leg home. I took off the lid and poured some water in it for the pooch and when he was done I poured it over my head. Then, I picked myself up, and headed home for the last .5 mile. I think I'll be sticking to 2 miles for a while longer before adding more distance!! LOL!! Here's the scoop:

    Water: over
    Calories: under
    Weight: 231 (lost 7, I think)
Walked: 3.5 miles for today's challenge

Thanks for all the encouragement through this challenge. I really enjoyed it!!

so proud of you bonnie! You can be so proud of what you did this month. You pushed yourself to get those miles in and you will reap those benefits. Keep it up!!
  • wow, this has been an amazing month. What an awesome team we are.
I am just a little disappointed in myself. I was hoping to lose 10 lbs and didn't quite make it. I am very happy with my lose but I feel I could have done better. So saying that - look out September because I am going TRIBAL!!!

    Last stats for the month:
    under calories
over water (don't even have to try anymore on the water)
going to the gym before work to do the miles - so I am counting that done as well
I already gave Lori my final weight on Sun but I am going with todays weight of 125.2. (.4 away from my goal)

Hope everyone found a team to be on in September. Let's keep this going team. We may not be on the same teams next month, but I still consider everyone on the same team.

    KEEP PERSEVERING!!!!

We'll all still be here....and ready and willing to cheer each other on!!! It's been a fun, funny, frustrating, highly productive month that, looking back, it went really fast!! I'm so glad to have gotten to meet everyone on this team...I'm a richer person knowing you all!!

Today...finale.... well, I did my normal Turbo Kick class, then hit the rec center track. I walked a mile and my heel hurt so bad that it felt like I was going lame (no peanut gallery comments there!! haha!), so I jumped on the elliptical to finish and did 3 miles on it. Hope that's ok to finish it up like that!! ;)

Best of luck to everyone in your September challenge......GO JUNGLE JEWELS!!!

So I was thinking (insert "uh oh" here... LOL) and it may seem corny, but we will all be Team Perseverance at heart forever & ever. Some of us may have the wonderful opportunity of meeting face to face down the road and what blessed days those will be. After all, in a few years, my daughter insists she's kicking me out and keeping the apartment ... LOL. At that time, I may relocate or simply just travel more.

Many of my family, friends & co-workers have seen my weight loss over the past few months and I even tried to recruit a few, but so far, no takers. Maybe I'll have better results next month. They're all probably sitting back waiting for me to quit. Ha Ha Ha ... I'll show 'em all :-)

While washing dishes I remembered the "before" photo I took and must get around to taking the "after" photo for August, which will become my "before" picture for September. I'm actually very eager to see if I can tell a difference in just one month.
  • Team Perseverance is the most AMAZING team I've ever been a part of... THANK you all!!!

I plan to see you and continue to encourage you on MFP! If anyone is ever in the Kansas City Missouri area~let me know!

I am under calories, over water and completed the challenge! I am stronger than I've ever been for sure!

THANKS FOR BEING AN AWESOME TEAM EVERYONE!!!
Good luck for those who are going onto the september challange. Just because we may be in different teams doesn't mean we can't still be friends . . . It just means that I won't rub your noses in it when my team wins  (insert evil laugh here)
No seriously, it has been a great adventure and I am proud to have participated with you all.

 Good-night everyone! I am equally blessed to have met and gone through the last 3 weeks of August's challenge with you all! The motivational tips from you all either via status updates or even your menu's has helped me enjoy my return back to MFP! As has been said - we may not be on the same team come next month but we are still striving to reach the same goal i.e a healthier lifestyle where we can all meet up eventually and hike up Mt. Kilaminjaro or Everest together, do a triathlon or run a marathon ALL BECAUSE WE CAN! :drinker:
Good luck to all those taking part in next month's challenges to those who are not part of any challenges good luck and don't forget to cheer us on!
BIG LOVE TO YOU ALL  :smooched: :flowerforyou:
