Good Morning Jungle Jewels,
I'm excited to say I was up at 5:30 am. and decided to push myself! I stretched and then did BUSHMEN SERIES (Advanced) - 50 Squat Kicks, 50 Jumping Jacks , 50 Crunches, 50 Mountain Climbers, 50 Wood Chops and last but not least 50 Globe Jumps! It took me 15 minutes to complete. I have to admit I struggled with the Globe Jumps LOL I had to break them up into 10's with a 30 sec. break between each set but I did it!!!! I feel great!!! :-) Then I have kickboxing later on tonight woo hooo!!! GO JUNGLE JEWELS!!!
Have a fabulous day everyone!!!!0 -
woohoo.....already did my excercises - Pigmy Style
Squat Kicks - 50 total (25 each side)
Jumping Jacks - 50 total (before anyone got to work & could see me & feel the building shake, lol)
I have 48ounces of water sitting on my desk but my day has just started. Hmmmmm...may just have to Zumba tonight at church0 -

Sure thing Jules... oh I have a question, when doing the 50 squat kicks... should we be counting every time we kick or right kick, left kick = 1???? Just wondering :-)0 -
A right AND left kick is 1.....that's the way I've always done it anyway!! ha!!0

SEPT CHALLENGE FOLKS THAT ARE USING THE BUSHMEN SERIES EXERCISES! I forgot to add that you need to being each day with a tabata 4 minute start. I am using this young woman's series. Its great but you have to stay in time with her. 20 seconds hard core 10 seconds rest for minutes. It will push you hard and will shape and tone large muscle group areas. Make sure everyday starts with a tabata no matter what the challenge is! The video is here : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkCnNrxHwFE&feature=youtube_gdata_player http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DfuU3TSsFM&feature=youtube_gdata_player here is another one she does she has several!0 -
****** MINI-CHALLENGE ALERT ******
O.K. Let's start this week off right! Since we are short this week I'm offering a mini-challenge. Remember Gym Class? Do you remember doing the bear walk? As a side mini-challenge you don't have to ever do the mini-challenges. But if you'd like to earn your team an extra point bearwalk for 3 minutes. Seems easy but it has to be a constant bear walk constantly moving for 3 minutes. You might be surprised! If you do the bear walk at the end of the week ask them to add one point to your team score! if you choose not too or cannot perform the mini-challenge its all good! This is just something to get our challenge up and running! So there it is FIRST MINI-CHALLENGE a Constant 3 minute Bearwalk.

Hello Jungle Jewels-
I'm just checking in to see how everyone is doing this first day!
My days are a bit strange they start in the afternoon and go to the early morning .. so I'll be posting my final days info at the end of my day. Today I woke up and it's soooo hot that I have absolutely no desire to eat! On the plus side my water intake is fab!
The bear walk addition is very interesting, I shall be attempting it here shortly.
Everyone have a great evening and rest up for day 2!0 -

HI everyone,
I am on Pacific Time Zone so I am just getting ready to head to Derby Practice. intense 2 hr workout... but I have already done 50 squat kicks and 50 pushups, for this week I am going to stick with the PYGMY SERIES then I will decide next week if I want to go advanced.
I was able to do the 4 min tabata first and that was great! except two things, first of all I am not able to bring my arm up with a dumbell unless I went to my knees, and second I couldnt do the twists while holding the dumbell with my feet off the ground. I tried maybe tomorrow, I wont give up.
I am already at more than 64oz of water... water is my friend. I will probably drink another 64 before the night is over due to derby practice. I am sure i will stay under my calorie goal as I have been for more than 6 weeks straight.
Today I weighed in at 214.4 that is my official starting weight for the month
I would love to lose 10-12lbs this month!!!! YAY let's do this!0 -
Got my water today and UNDER my goal, not the post exercise goal MFP puts up...no bear walk but I did do 60minthe of Zumba0

Whenever they don't have something, I just pick something that looks even remotely like it might have a similar effect...even though you're under in cals anyway, I know *I* get so motivated knowing everything I did!! Pat yourself on the back for a job well done!0 -

Fantastic, Crystal!! That's awesome that you are getting our required exercises in too....as far as having a hard time with certain things, just modify them as you need to. I can't do globe jumps...they destroy my knees, so I modify them into just squats without the jumps! Whatever you can do counts!! Great job!0 -
Ok...here's MY day!!
Water - WAY over
Calories - WAY under...only for now!
Tabata...done before my Leslie Sansone walk
Bear Walk...3 minutes...also done before LS walk
LS walk
50 Squat Kicks, 50 Jumping Jacks , 50 Crunches, 50 Mountain Climbers,
50 Wood Chops and 50 Modified Globe Jumps - DONE
I'm so proud of everyone...you're really stepping up to the challenge on Day 1!! You might say "big deal" to day one, but, let me tell you....we had people on our team last month that didn't even do DAY 1!! You all rock!!0 -
Good Morning!
What a fabulous first day!! You are SUPERSTARS!!!
Jill and I were impressed with your dedication towards the tasks and a HUGE thank you to those of you who embraced the 3-min bear walk! If you still haven't done it, no worries you have till Sunday!!
I had a huge smile logging all your successes into the spreadsheet this morning
One small moan though - 2 people haven't reported into the forum as yet!! You HAVE to report in otherwise your exercises/challenges wil not count for that day - and the whole team will fail I hope to see those 2 posts asap please.
Ok, so moving on to Day 2 -
