    :flowerforyou:  Good Mornining Everybody,

Things continue to go well. The chicken soup I made turned out great. After weighing and measuring the chicken, broth, and vegetables it turned out that our midday soup and salad meal was huge and still stayed under 500 calories. My husband played golf and didn't get home until 2:30 so I had a small vegetable snack at noon so I could wait for him. I froze soup and vegetables for a future meal and several pints of broth to use for the base for some other soups.

Today was my favorite line dance class and the sun is shining. Life doesn't get any better than this.

Best wishes to all for a lean and active day.

hi everyone and thanks for the warm welcomes! I'm feeling SO much better since i joined this group and got back on track with my eating and working out! It's tough to get started again when you get lazy! I'm renovating my old house right now - to the point where i can't even live in it so my life is a little topsy turvy - all the MORE reason i should stay on track!
Anyway - I'm off to hot yoga with a young friend this afternoon. That's always good for an extra meal!
Barbie - line dancing?!?!?!? That is AWESOME! Sounds like to much fun! I've always found I exercise more if i can find something that's FUN. A group of us used to play volleyball in one of my neighbors sheds, but he's not doing that anymore. too bad.
Wishing you all a lean, clean, earth colored day! elli

hey everyone! Just wanted to shoot off a note before i hit the sack! Jeffrey - you've lost 68 pounds!?!?!? That's AWESOME! What is namaste yoga? I do Bikram - also known as hot yoga. Marie - it's 90 minutes of yoga in a hot room - 105 degrees, 50% humidity. You SWEAT like crazy and burn between 600 and 1200 calories....it's the most amazing workout i've ever done and i think i've tried almost everything!
Well- my dogs are barking to be let in - everyone have a good night and a great THursday. ALMOST Friday! yippeeeeeeee

Good to hear from you Jeffery and I also think it is wonderful that you are speaking to young children about keeping healthy.

That yoga in the hot room sounds like it would be really difficult. I don't think I could do it, because I am like a wet noodle when I get to hot.

Thank you for the early birthday wishes Marie, even though I would prefer not to remember I am going to be another year older.

I again went off key on my calories yesterday because I went to lunch with my sister. :ohwell: I am still working the program though and will make it up today. :blushing: In fact it is time for my exercise workout. Everyone have a good day, stay fit, stay healthly and keep in touch.

    HI All!

I have been reading your entries and this sounds like just the group I need! I will be 70 at the end of April and want to get rid of some of this baggage......can I play with you guys?

I am walking 30 minutes 5 days a week. I just started this week, so I haven't weighed in yet.....probably tomorrow.
    This site is so easy!

    Have a good day, all!

Elli--- I don't think I could take that 105 degree for very long. Is that really good for you. When I was doing the water exercise if the water was too hot they would not let us exercise. Just walk around the pool some. That happen a few times. some of the girls would go into the steam room but not me.

Sandy, I would like to bo back 10 years. getting to close to 80 for me. but all in all i guess I am pretty happy.

Barbie and biggamma, Keep up the good work

Phoebe, hoping your FIL is getting better. He is in my prayers. so is Jim and his family.

Jeffrey, Have a great day. You have kept me going., Keep moving.

      There's a heart for each of you Love Marie

GOOD MORNING. The sun is shining this morning but I would really rather see rain drops....We may get some more this evening and tomorrow.

I was going to go shopping this morning...but decided to do laundry and other house stuff instead....Cheaper that way....

Elli I do not think I could survive in that 105 room....me and heat do not agree...however this year I am colder than I have ever been, and it is not that cold here...so maybe the heat will not bother me as much when it comes...

Hope you all are having a terrific Thursday....:flowerforyou:

Biggramma and Marie - lots of people say that about the heat at first - it IS hard until you get used to it - and then it gets harder because you're trying to do the postures better. You DO sweat a LOT - but it feels SOOOO good when you're done because of all the toxins you sweat out. I didn't do it for about 3 months 'cause i'm working on my house so much, and i live in the country and it takes me half hour to get into town. Anyway - I'm back to it now and i'm so glad! I'm sure it's not for everybody though. My friend who is on this weight loss journey with me has said the same thing about when we did hot water aerobics but i think i have her talked into trying hot yoga when she gets down to a certain weight!

It is SOOOOO windy here today - it's driving me CRAZY, and i'm worried about it being dry. So crazy - we're having 70 degree weather right now and have had hardly any snow. I'm already starting to worry about fires this summer.

Well - happy Thursday everyone, I better get back to work!

:flowerforyou: Welcome Cookie, This is a great place to get the help and support you need. I have a much better feeling about my journey with the help of my new friends. Walking has always been my favorite healthy activity. The weather doesn't always cooperate here in Northwest Washington  so I'm glad to have line dance classes  three days a week and an exercise bike  in my living room.

It might have been easier to lose weight when I was 30 but I am convinced that I can do it again now.

Feels so good when I get done though, so I will continue to keep moving with her and take turns with my eliptical.
