Hi - Impressive loss and you look gr8 - thanks for posting pics and details of how you got there. The only thing you didn't mention is how the weight loss affected all the health issues & related medication you were having - it's nice to see people looking slimmer but I love to hear all the related health benefits :D Congratulations.

What an inspiration! You look great! And you look 10+ years younger!!!!
  • I am sorry I forgot to mention the benefits from the weight loss.

    1. I am off of blood pressure medications, have been since my second month of working out
    2. Resting heart rate is 46, (athlete level)
    3. My cholesterol is under control
    4. I no longer need a CPAP for sleep APNEA
    5. Unfortunately I still have hypo-thyroidism, but it is managed with synthroid
    6. I feel great all the time and my personality has changed back to the person that everyone wants to be around
    7. I have changed my lifestyle and look at life differently

The last thing I can tell you is not about me, its about people. When I was fat, people were less engaging and didn't really want to be around me. Since I have become thinner, people treat me differently, better than before. People are always inviting me places now.

    Awesome job!!!
  • Very inspiring!! I wish I had your dedication. Maybe some day!! You look great - congrats on all of your hard work paying off!!
  • That is amazing!!! I am new to MFP about a week in and at this time am still at my starting weight. I have tracked my calories everyday and am doing well. I am also taking longer than my usual daily walk. I truly can see how much tracking calories can help. I am amazed how fast they add up. I really didn't think I was eating too much, but I found out differently. This truly makes me know when I had enough food for the day. So far, I am eating the extra calories I have burned walking, seems like a nice bonus, but I see you don't do that. How does everyone else feel about that? I don't want to under eat or my body may think I am going in a starvation mode. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

    AWESOME JOB!!!!
Also - I had to say I LOVE the picture at the Hotter N Hell ride. My brother has ridden in this for the last 5 years. The first year he completed the 100, he was 40 years old - I was ridiculously proud of him! He's gotten into great shape just training for this and staying ready for it each year. I hope to do it one day myself, beginning with a local ride in October.
Sorry - just pretty excited to see someone else in this!
You look great - Be proud of yourself!
  • Congrats, what an amzing job you did!
