You have an amazing story to tell. Thanks for sharing it. This is very inspirational. I'm sorry you lost yourself and the relationship with your wife. I'm glad you've found yourself again and hope that someday you and your wife will reunite more fully.

Also thank you for your career of service. Best of luck with the final leg of your weight loss journey.

Wow! You look magnificent and 20 years younger! I really liked the fact that you added what you did at the end of your post. That helped me just reading it. I am so proud of you and know you will easily reach your last little goal. Best of luck and thank you SO much for posting the pics and your story.

Very Inspiring :) Thank you for letting us know how you did that. I was told to eat my excercise calories and I have had a hard time doing that

    Outstanding Job!

After reading your storey, I continue to remain confused now on eating / not eating burned calories. You did not eat your exercise calories. Was your metabolism affected? The majority of MFP members feel that exercise calories MUST be eaten. I'm confused . . .

(I've been with MFP since July 22, 2011.)

PS: I was in the Air Force, too -- from April 1979 to April 1985 (Weather Specialist).

Everywhere I turned people were saying to eat them back, but I knew for me it didn't make sense to do that when I felt full on 1300 a day even when I burned 1000-2000 calories a day. I never feel hungry so I say do what you think is best and don't let others sway you. You know your body best.

My metabolism was aready affected because of hypo thyroidism so I had to work harder to lose the weight. Once I started taking synthroid I could exercise for hours without getting tired. As far as eating your exercise calories, you know your own body best. Eat the daily caloric limit you set for yourself, if you are hungry and need more then eat some of your exercise calories. Best of luck
