Chris, a two mile walk is a long walk and then yoga, you are steaming!!! Your day sounds busy but productive, thanks for checking in.

Shirley, I do remember the movie Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, wasn't Elizabeth Taylor in it as well? Don't you wish you could sail every weekend all year round? I hope the weather co operates and your daughter's in laws get to sail with you. Time to get back in the saddle and get focused, you can do this and we are here to support you.

Done riding the bike, I will try taking Daisy for a walk after dinner to get some more calories. :drinker:

 I have a little time before I go back for the evening open dance session.

  Sandy, I am still laughing at the image of you meeting your soon to be in-laws and your resemblance to "Meet the Fockers". Jake and I don't have any funny stories about meeting the parents of our kids' spouses, but we have had almost nothing in common with any of them, so humor would have been a nice change.

    Buzz, I am so sorry about the deaths of your neighbors:brokenheart: this sadness is the by-product of caring for others:cry: and then, of course, food is such a huge part of the life celebrations and memorial events

 Birdie, when I started on MFP, I tried to eat all the stuff we had in the house rather than throw it out.......we had big bags of cheese and spinach ravioli from Costco and I had the same reaction about how few ravioli made a serving and how a single serving wasn't really as satisfying as the healthy meals I eat now. The Isagenix shakes I have for many of meals are satisfying and keep me from feeling hungry too soon----they don't make me feel "full" or bloated. The cleansing is a cellular cleanse not a colon cleanse.

 Irene, thanks for the update on you family---sorry that things aren't going as well with your treatment. I admire your upbeat spirit.

 Phoebe, I like the Outback. We don't have one near us so we don't go often......I like the chicken on the barbie

 Phyllis, thanks for the reminder about Pilates
i have a video I haven't used in a long time.....glad back to school night went well......I liked your poem.

 Gayla, I stopped buying gifts for anyone when I travel, but I think with Neil it would be different.....glad you were able to make him happy with the shirt.

:flowerforyou: Jackie, I hope the bad wind doesn't last too long

 Jeri, your food picture looks great, mostly because you look so thin and happy:bigsmile:

 Shirley, I would think that sailing is harder work than dancing

 Chris, I love yoga, I hope you do too. My line dance workshop is in a small town north of Seattle. I had to drive for about two hours and take a ferry to get here.

 Gig, I'm so sorry to hear that your mom isn't doing well:sad:

   I have over 22,000 steps on my pedometer and there's still more dancing tonight

Oh Gigi, my heart is breaking for you. You and your dear Mother will be in my prayers tonight.

I can really feel the coolness in the evening air. Fall is certainly here. My sister and I spent several hours together today watching the final men's tennis match in the US Open. What a game! Maybe now I can get something done around here! Maybe even find some time for a long post.

    Take care. Gayla

:flowerforyou: Wow Barbie. That is a LOT of steps. I walk all day at work and couldn't get that many in.

Well, today is another day. Let's hope we all stay on track. My husband bought me a Smart Ones pizza. It is huge and I am sure that I will be making it last two meals.

Barbie, I live in a little town in Montana, but my kids live near Seattle. Let me know how the week went with your line dancing. It sounds like you are having fun. Did you go alone? It's nice to go with someone and share the sites too.

Have to go to the dentist, will be back to read later.

There were two Catholic boys, Timothy Murphy and Antonio Secola, whose lives parallel each other in amazing ways. In the same year Timothy was born in Ireland , Antonio was born in Italy .

Faithfully they attended parochial School from kindergarten through

their senior year in high school. They took their vows to enter the

priesthood early in college, and upon graduation, became priests.

Their careers had come to amaze the world, but it was generally acknowledged that Antonio Secola was just a wee cut aboveTimothy Murphy in all respects.

Their rise through the ranks of Bishop, Archbishop and finally Cardinal was swift to say the least, and the Catholic world knew that when the present Pope died, it would be one of the two who would become the next Pope.

In time the Pope did die, and the College of Cardinals went to work. In less time than anyone had expected, white smoke rose from the

chimney and the world waited to see whom they had chosen.

The world, Catholic, Protestant and secular, was surprised to learn that Timothy Murphy had been elected Pope!

Antonio Secola was beyond surprise. He was devastated, because even with all of Timothy's gifts, Antonio knew he was just a bit better qualified.

With gall that shocked the Cardinals, Antonio Secola asked for a private

session with them in which he candidly asked, "Why Timothy?"

After a long silence, an old Cardinal took pity on the bewildered man and rose to reply.

"We knew you were the better of the two, but we just could not bear the thought of the leader of the Roman Catholic Church being called POPE SE-COLA!

Awe, c'mmon, give me a break! *You know you're going to pass it on to Catholic and non-Catholic friends alike!*

    Good mornig all!

Gigi my prayers are with you and your mother. I'm sure this is a difficult time:cry: Stay strong!

Just a quick post. You know how I've been thinking of changing my goal weight because of my waist seeming to get bigger? Well, I took my measurements this morning, which I haven't done in almost a year, and although my weight is less than it was last year (only 1 pound) my waist is 1.5 inches bigger!:noway: My stomach i1 inch smaller and my hips .5 inch bigger! My husband says it's impossible, but I take my measurements as tight as I can so I know they're accurate. I wonder why?:ohwell:

Well have a great day everyone!

Happy Tuesday!! I don't have much time as I am taking Donna (95) to a casino for a few hours. She loves to play slot machines and eat at the buffet so we won't be gone long.

Birdie, it does seem impossible that your tummy is bigger than last year, I am guessing when I say maybe it is liquid. Research on the Internet to see what causes tummy bulge and maybe you will find your answer. I do know alcohol is one source of a bigger tummy so maybe that is one reason. As I said I am guessing, others might have better answers. I don't think any of us will every have a flat tummy of a 25 year old, things just shift around as we get older.

Chris, good luck at the dentist.

Becky, congrats on your weight loss, watch the salt from the pizza.

Gayla, glad you and your sister had time together and enjoyed the tennis matches.

Barbie, my biggest problem when meeting new people is talking too much, I want to keep everyone entertained and tend to just babble. They did have a good time so it must have worked.

Gigi, so sorry about your mom, she is such a fighter I hope she gets her wish and can come home. It is all in God's Hands now, so will pray for what He thinks is best. Love you Gigi.:heart:

ginger snapper.....are you new in joining us or did I not see you earlier to welcome you? Either way WELCOME.

Better get moving, I don't want to be late in picking Donna up. Have a great day!!

 Sandy: Love your Catholic joke since I am of that religion. Perfect !

 Gigi: My heart goes out to you Gigi for your Mom.

    Ginger: Welcome!!

 Chris: I love to do Yoga, I feel so much better after doing it. Seems to
get all the kinks out because you are stretching your body.
I usually do this in the winter months.

 Jeri: Your picture looks great. You can see how much weight you have lost. Congrats!!

I have been struggling to get my weight down lately, so I hope increased exercise will help.
I will be getting the Wii Fit Plus out shortly and maybe adding Zumba to it. I am still walking
and doing my bike right now for exercise. With sailboat season not too much time for
    anything else.

Cooler temperatures will be heading our way starting tomorrow with rain in the horizon.

So much for my Smart Ones pizza. I opened it up and promptly dropped in on the floor. So, I went to the cafe and bought a salad. I will be leaving work at 2:30 today to take my daughter to the doctor. She now has to see a specialist for her broken finger.
