    I've been laying low for awhile. Starting the week before Thanksgiving, I was really struggling all the way through last week. The past couple of days have been really good, so I am hoping to see a little bit of a drop before Christmas. If not, I am happy to have maintained and I look forward to new challenges in the new year.

    Stuck stuck stuck. Bloated (TOM) so figuring the "up" is water weight. I have foot surgery in the morning so I'm going to be out of commission for a few weeks. Plan to still do some upper body strength training but I have to take it easy and make sure my recovery goes smooth and quick. I'm flying to Indiana to visit relatives 4wks post op alone with the twins so I have to be able to hobble by that point! :-)

    Surgery went well, I've been pretty much sleeping since. Keeping the drugs at the higher end to ensure I stay DOWN and keep my foot UP. :-)

    As we wrap up our challenge I want to thank you for helping me the past few months. Having goals each week was very important. Some of you have faced unbelievable adversity and loss.     Almost to the end of our Challenge! Had hoped to post 151.8 for my weight today, stupid scale! I had just joined MFP when I found this challenge and am hoping I am able to join another one that is just as supportive as this one has been. Being held accountable and having to check in each week have been great for me.

    Week 4 - 225.3 (Sept 11) - limiting alcohol to weekends only and getting the cardio up & going
    Week 5 - 224.7 (Sept 19) - getting the cardio up & going!

    Same weight as last week, and I am okay with this. Indulged a couple of days then down sick a couple of days, so I guess it all evened out. Final check-in for me will be next Wednesday, the 28th, after returning from holiday travel. The last thing I want to do is take my final weight on someone else's scale & not know if it is accurate lol!

    I would suggest we keep this group going! When is Easter? Or how 'bout Memorial Day goals before summer hits?

    As others have said, checking in weekly here has helped me. I would be willing to do some of the work to continue this group, too. Donna, thoughts???

    Just a bit of an update on me. I completed my paper and then went right into celebrating mode for my anniversary. We will finally be decorating our Christmas tree tonight. Not losing but shouldn't be gaining either. Have and will be doing lots of cleaning but today I went for my 1st run in a week. I usually do interval runs and walks on Tuesday and a longer run on another day so I am hoping to get back to that. Hope to go to Aquafit tomorrow. I do not want to start back into weight training until I can do it for more than a day a week. You have all done so well. I am not stopping. I have my own birthday challenge for the new year. Merry Christmas all and will be checking in for Donna's results later.

    Late check in, this will be quick (I know, I've said it before and written a book, lol.) I lost 2.6 pounds this week and have gotten to 254.9.

    My goal for the next week is to stay there and not go up. We've come to the last week of our challenge and I hope everyone is happy with their progress. I am fairly satisfied with where I am and look forward to reaching my goal weight at some point in 2012 (not sure what that will be, but I will know when I get there.)

    I want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope our group can start a new challenge after the New Year! Good luck and best wishes to you all!

Well...I did make it to my challenge weight...I also bypassed it twice since last week. It seems my body isn't ready to go down and stay down just yet.
