30DS Challenge from Sept 20 till Oct 20

level 2 day 9 & 10 done,
starting level 3 tomorrow, glad to hear that it's a bit easier on the knees, my are sore but manageable, but good that they will be under less strain.

Everyone on here is so awesome. I am way behind. Completed level 2 day 3, having an issue with my knee, so decided to start doing the low impact plank jacks and plank thrusts. otherwise the rest doesn't bother them.0

D1 L3 COMPLETE!!!!!!!!! I will have to say that I prefer this level to level 2 lol it's not easy dont get me wrong but it's easier on my knees that's for sure. Also maybe I enjoyed the mix up of workouts. I enjoyed it!
Well I did take pictures the first day I started this or maybe it was the second day. So I will take pictures on the last day. Looking forward to seeing the results!

And this is 21 days in a row for me haven't missed a day. Feeling great!
I don't know if I mentioned in an earlier post or not but I went down 1-2 sizes in pants. Was 22/24 put on some old size 20's i had and they fit perfectly. I even put on a size smaller shirt It's now my favorite outfit I dont want to wear my too big clothes anymore.
Great job on doing 21 days without taking a day off!! That is a HUGE accomplishment! Congrats on going down sizes in clothing! I feel the same way about wearing the clothes that don't fit anymore! lol I feel frumpy and like a bumb when I wear the regular sizes, but don't want to go out and buy new clothes until I hit my goal. I also took pictures about a week into this and I am anxious to get to the end to see the results.

Just finished D9 L2!! Can't believe there is only one day left in this level!! It feels so much better than before, even though I still struggle with the plank stuff. I'm definitely feeling a difference in my legs though!! Can't wait for it to be thanksgiving break so I can go jean shopping and hopefully be a few sizes down (I'd like to go from a 14 to a 10...and eventually an 8).0

Finally back on track...I haven't done 30DS since Wednesday...Today was my 17th day overall and I should have done level 2 but felt the need for a change so I did level 3. It was hard but I was glad for a change! My knees are still really sore and I think it is from the lunges...going to ask my boyfriend to correct my form and give me tips for strengthening my knees. That should help. I plan on alternating level 2 and 3 each day until I reach day 30. I am hoping that this keeps me from getting bored or over-exerting my knees.
You are all doing amazing with this and I am so glad I joined this group for this or I never would be sticking to it! I am at the lowest weight I have been since MIDDLE SCHOOL! I was down to 130 in February and then lost my motivation to push myself. I gained almost 10 back from Feb to September. I have never broken the 130 lb barrier until last week. I had originally set my 1st mini goal of 125 by new years and I am proud to say that I may make that goal before Halloween!!! This workout and MFP is what is helping me to reach my goal and push myself farther than I ever thought possible!0 -
You are doing awesome!!! I am also focusing on buying new jeans!!! I am hoping to be able to finally find a pair that I don't have to keep hiking up lol. I am larger in the belly from having two kids. I can never find jeans that fit my waist and over my belly. I finally think I may be working off the fat in my belly and actually someday have a flat stomach that jeans fit!! Keep up the great work!!0

OK.. only 1 more day of Level 2 for me! I am actually excited! I FEEL lots of progress although I am not sure how much I am really seeing yet, I seem to be a slow starter at losing but the numbers are finally starting to change some. Tomorrow is normal weigh day and due for some measurements so I am hoping for some decent results (sort of pulled a "last minute workout" day today).

Looks like it's modified shred for me from now on. Just went to physio - she thinks my knee pain may be from the sacroiliac joint in the pelvis, and the ankle pain from shin splints. Sigh. So will have to keep jumping on the elliptical for those cardio sections. Feel gutted.0

Thank you! I am really proud of myself because I've started exercise before and have always fallen off. I have kept up with this and I'm loving it! I will probably take a week or two off of a workout DVD and use my elliptical. Then I might buy Jillian MIchaels Ripped in 30. I've heard that one is good as well. I love wearing the clothes that are smaller. I have some shirts I just can't wear anymore because they are too big. I also don't want to go shopping until I'm at goal. But I know I will have to buy some clothes but I have a pretty good amount to help me out on......all the clothes that I had as I gained the weight ugh.

D2L3 Completed!!! 16 Days Completed!! My left knee is bothering me!! I enjoyed the workout big time. It a great challenge to work toward & I enjoy it. I almost feel like I'm addicted to this which is a great feeling b/c I usually give up if I don't see an inkling of change in a short timeframe. I'm seeing a change in my mid-section but not the scale, something is better than nothing & I appreciate the changes. To whoever is interested I want 2 do the Ripped in 30 next!!! Maybe with a small break of a week to let our body's adjust. Keep up the Excellent work Ladies!!! We've come a long way!!0

You are doing great! Don't feel bad...this is a huge change for our bodies and you are doing the right thing to push through and find something to replace the cardio with that your body can handle! Keep pushing, your body will catch up!0 -

Let me know if you do the ripped in 30, I may want to try it as well. I also have the Zumba Exhilirate DVD set that I got just before I started 30DS so I may want to focus on that for awhile. Although the challenge of being in a group helps too lol!0 -
Day 18 of 30 complete!! I did level 2 today. I have off work so I did the workout in the morning which is really hard for me, but I did it. I must say that I am struggling to push through some days, but feel MUCH better when I am done! Going to do Zumba tonight to add in some cardio. Going to do a little shopping at the Thrift stores to find some "in-between" clothes for work so I don't look like such a bumb all the time lol

D2 L3 Complete.
I'm having a real bad problem, after doing the exercise where your on your fore arms and then you go into mountain climbers and then stand up oh my god my head hurts so bad I have to stop, the more I stand up the more it hurts. I mean it hurts really bad, and it slowly gets a little better. But it hurts all the way through the workout. But I just can't stop, I have to complete everyday, and it's happened now both days during the same exercise. I'm just not sure what to do.
Other than that I'm feeling great! I REALLY didn't want to workout tonight because I didn't get to until around 9pm because I got a new bowling ball and had to go get it drilled and try it out BUT I made myself and worked through it!0 -
Day 19 is complete! I did Level 2 today. I also did a 20 minute Zumba DVD for some added cardio.
Feeling great!!! I feel like I am finally in control of my eating and exercise habits. I have a wedding to go two in less than two weeks and I was trying on my dresses in my closet and NONE of them fit!!! They are all too BIG!! I even tried a dress on that was too tight to wear less than two months ago and it looks soooo big on me!! I always thought that I was destined to be at 130-140 for my whole life and it turns out I was letting my negative thoughts get the best of me! I will be a comfortable size 4 before I know it!!0 -

I'm proud of myself for being consistent but I'm getting a little discouraged b/c I've only lost 6 lbs in 70+ days & I've been eating better even though I know that my body is changing in inches lost. After reading this i'm realizing that I have to be patient (something I'm working on in life period) & consistent. People see the change & so do I. I'm going to keep persevering through this. Thanks for all support b/c w/o my MFP friends I wouldn't be where I am.0

D3 L3 Complete:::: Again today I got this HORRIBLE....NEVER felt this kind of pain before in my head. It's at the very beginning where you do the 3 plank type position exercises in row and when I go to get up I can't get up it hurts so bad and it also feels dizzy. So from now on I'm going to find something different to do during those positions.
But I made it through. I really didn't want to do it tonight because first off I knew I would get the horrid pain. But also it's my first day of my TOM and I was in SO much pain from that as well, but I made it through! I couldn't not do it! 23 days straight and not stopping until I hit 30!0 -
OMG - Day 1 Level 3 - This one is gonna kill me.. can we start over with Level 1 again... NOW? LOL0

WOW..l just read the other posts about the head thing... thought maybe I just wasn't warmed up enough. Too wierd... but glad to know it isn't just me! Maybe I will try a 20 minute cardio a bit before I do this workout to see if maybe my neck just need some limbering up first... ? If anyone else finds a solution, I'm all ears!0

It is difficult to stick with it when you are not seeing the numbers on the scale drop quickly, but I am sure that you are seeing many other changes. I have been working on my weight loss for a little over 2 years and I have lost sight of my goals a few times which has only made my journey longer. Every day that you eat right and exercise you are one more day closer to your goal! Keep up the great work!0 -
Just got done with day 20!!! I did level 3 today. I must say that it is my favorite of the three levels other than the rock star kicks! I don't like those!! I am feeling stronger than ever today!! I am hoping that my stomach has a noticable difference when this is done!! I think that I will incorporate a lot of the strength and ab exercises into my daily routine even when I am done with this 30 days.

Thank you Sissa Mae for those encouraging words!! I truly appreciate it. I've never had weight problems & I could lose w/much to any effort. I've been having a yo-yo effect w/my weight ranging b/t certain #'s. I think part of my problem is that I'm paying too much attention & focusing on my weight 2 much :mad: I'm going to continue to stay positive!!0 -

D4 L3 Complete. Well I just figured out I just cant do any more plank positions or push up positions. The only on floor positions I can do is the crunches or abs. I just can't do them with my head hurting. So I do other exercises during those times with the arm weights and squats or something. I just keep moving while they are doing that. I feel like i'm cheating but I know it's in my best interest to do that. I'm still dripping sweat by the end so thats good right?0

If I had health insurance I would go to the dr. Otherwise its $100 visit...yikes. but im going to try to see a chiropractor. My neck just feels tight and like I have knots that just need to be worked out. The head pain is excruciating but only when I go to stand up. During the exercises im fine. But I will just not do them and take a bit off from a work out dvd ill use my elliptical after my 30 day shred is up.
Yeah those rock star kicks....whew! You keep up the great work as well.
Today will be day 5 level3 so half way there then I can measure again and take after pictures. Probably wont post them but will take them for compairing0 -
Finished 3 days of level 3!!! This level is definitely a good one, my shoulder is giving me a little trouble, but I'm planning to finish the next 7 days then FINALLY take a little break, I'm mostly surprised with how much my body has changed, I've had so much trouble over the years getting fat off my legs and I feel like there is actually change happening!0

Day 21 DONE!!! Did level 3. Spent the whole day dreading this workout!! Once I got into it I felt great! Now going to do 20 min Zumba DVD and then eat supper! 9 more days until measurements and after photos!0
