Thanks for the recipe! I have been wanting to make these for quite some time! Do you know if they freeze well?

They actually do freeze very well. Enjoy..

Ive done this before but with seafood - made a nice veloute with seafood stock and white wine - made it slightly thicker... sauteed mushrooms, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, shrimp, scallops, lobster and crab, fresh gahhhhhlic, herbs and of course - BUTTER...8-)

    They always come out awesome!

I save one cupcake-tin for when I make individual lasagnas, another for individual meatloaves and the other one for pre-portioned sausage-loaves...

Just made these again with a twist - made 'em Taco Style!

Browned some lean ground beef & seasoned with low-sodium Taco seasoning.

Layered the won ton skins, salsa, taco beef, Fiesta blend shredded cheese, repeat. Bake just like the Lasagna ones, and these are little Taco cupcakes! Delish!

    :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

    24 Wonton Wrappers
1 3/4 c. Jimmy Dean Precooked Turkey Sausage
    1 cup Pasta Sauce
1/2 c Part Skim Ricotta Cheese
    1 1/2 C Mozzarella Cheese
    1/2 c Parmesan Cheese
    Non Stick Spray
    Muffin Tin

Spray Muffin tin with non-stick spray. Layer one won ton wrapper in the bottom of each muffin hole. Then add some sauce to each wonton wrapper, then add some Ricotta cheese, Turkey Sausage and sprinkle with the 1/2 cup parmesan cheese. Start second layer wonton wrapper, sauce, ricotta cheese, turkey sausage, top with the mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375` for 25 mins. They will pop right out of the tin. I calculated them to be per cupcake: 135 cals 5.76 fat 12.6 carbs 1 fiber 10.4 protein.

My family loves them. I pair with a salad and a crusty bread banquette for a nice quick meal.. The prep time is like 10-15 mins.

    Enjoy!

Have you added these to the listing of foods to choose from when logging our food?

  • This is exactly what I needed to use up the wonton wrappers I have in my refrigerator!

Another "muffin - not muffin" use? - I mix up all my ingredients for meatloaf (I use ground turkey) - weigh it up and separate it out to 6 equal portions and put them in each well of a large muffin tin... This way it cooks faster and you don't have to worry about slicing it up to portion size... It's already in portion size!!!!!!!!!!!

This is how I make my meatload too

I can't wait to try these lasagna cupcakes - they sound perfect to take to work for an easy microwave lunch!

these sound good, and I'm sure my partner and kids will like them too.

I don't think I've seen wonton wrappers in the supermarket here, but with a quick google around I see a few recipes to make them yourself so I'm gonna give it a try tomorrow

    thanks! =)

At the Walmart I go to the Won Ton Wrappers are in the refrigerated section in the PRODUCE department. On the end where they have refrigerated salad dressings and such. Kinda hard to find but that's where mine are.

Good luck - these are soooo yummy!

thanks! Tried one supermarket and they had none but I found them in the fresh pasta section in the fridge at woolworths, so will be making them tonight.
Tried making my own yesterday but I gave up, too much work trying to roll them thin with a rolling pin, would be ok if I had a pasta rolling machine thingy I guess but the wrappers are cheap to buy and I now know where to find them lol =)

Made these last night. Thought they weren't going to turn out because my daughter made the sauce, but thinned it out, and put the turkey right in the sauce, not only did they turn out, but they were a hit with the family! Will make over and over!!
