Does anyone know why your steps don't match your calorie burn every day? Like having X # of steps = X calories but the next day it's different. Can a pedometer count your speed or something?

I think it would need your stride, your heart rate and your weight to figure out the calories.

10/6 -- 2128 -- totally pathetic! Worked all day with only 1/2 hour break but the weather was SOOO nice the hubby and I went for a motorcycle ride. Tomorrow may not be that great stepwise as after work we are traveling out of town, and Saturday will be a pretty sedentary day. I'll do what I can.

FYI -- if you happen to wear your pedometer while on a motorcycle or even a riding lawnmower, it ends up adding steps. My husband had his on during the bike ride, and it added 4000 steps. Maybe it's all the bumps.

    Can I still join?
  • 10/8 - Crappy 3000ish cuz I was out with the family doing regular run-arounds. Who new that doing normal errands and shopping would get a ton less steps verses staying home so I can do laps around my house.
