QOTD Saturday October 1- Today marks the end of week 1. How has being in the star challenge affected your journey this week?

I have been ridiculously busy this week between moving and work, and this has really helped me with daily accountability (although sorry sboo, I haven't been as good on messages as I could be)

QOTD Sunday October 2 - Although they are ALL important and memorable, what is the MOST memorable NSV since you have started your weight loss journey?

For me it was last month when I went to get my drivers license renewed and they took my picture and the computer compared to previous picture (guess this is something to do for fraud purposes) and the computers said "this is not a match". So I had to show other forms of ID and explain I had lost weight and that I was a match (but not the same person - inside).

Ladies - I have really enjoyed this challange and it has kept me focused on the plan at hand this week. Thank you ALL especially my team mate jnell! Good luck and I hope you all have a blessed week!

On Friday this week I went to my sons highschool band concert. For the first time in about 10 years I didn't touch the sides of the small auditorium seats with my butt when I sat down! It felt so crazy to just sit down and not touch! I was so much more comfortable and didn't feel like I was gross and spilling over into the next person!

I haven't experienced that special moment yet (I'm sure I will soon enough), but I do love the feeling of my clothes fitting just that much looser. It makes all my hard work worth it!

Well this was actually before I got off track at the begining of the summer. I went from a size 22/24 to a size 18/20. I wore a size 20 jean for the first time in over 5 years. This was really exciting for me. Unfortunately now I am squeezing into those jeans. But with the help of the challenge I'm sure I will be fitting them again in no time.

Well, there are two recent ones - Getting into my size 6 jeans ( I don't remember when I could rock a size 6 since junior high) and having our guitar player tell me he thinks I'm really hot now (he's young and handsome and it made my day)!

Some of you are just starting your journey, and some are close to the end. This is an amazing time for all of us as we re-discover our self's through personal reflection, weight loss, friend therapy etc...

I am going to say that finding all that energy to workout every morning last week was my nsv. I hope to see a lot more in the next few weeks. I love checking out the Success Stories on MFP so this is a great question-looking forward to reading everyone's replies.

At work Friday, I discovered I can pull my pants up and down without unbuttoning them! LOL, for the rest of the day, whenever I went to the bathroom I did it, just because I could.

I can actually have a running race with my 4-year-old and win. Unfortunately (and sadly), this was something I could not do 44 pounds ago...

When I read the question earlier this morning I was thinking that as I am just in 10 days into my weight loss journey I don't really have any NSV's yet. On my way home this morning it dawned on me that I most assuredly do have two. In the last 10 days I have excercised for 7 hours and made 26 new friends! Those my good people, are for me real victories:flowerforyou:

QOTD Sunday October 2 - Although they are ALL important and memorable, what is the MOST memorable NSV since you have started your weight loss journey?

For me, it was several months ago when my size 16's were sooo tight that I had to lay down on the bed to button them up. Well, I remember when I got to the point when I didn't have to lay down on the bed anymore and it was such an exciting moment for me, my husband even came and jumped up and down with me in my excitement, LOL!
  • I'll answer the question as soon as I know what NSV stands for!?!?!?! I'm slow :)

My most memorable weight loss moment was when I had a Jared moment and stood next to my own pants. I felt great. It looked like two of me could fit into one pants leg. Really I try to look for one of tose moments everyday.
  • QOTD Sunday October 2 - Although they are ALL important and memorable, what is the MOST memorable NSV since you have started your weight loss journey?

Well I would have to say putting on a pair of jeans that I couldn't even get done up 3 months ago and they fit! That felt great! Then today I was in "Run for the Cure" and we had a picture taken of our group and I actually seen for myself in the picture that I have lost weight. I'm on week 10 of Turbo Fire (and I can finally jump!) and I can't wait to see what I'm like on week 22!

QOTD Sunday October 2 - Although they are ALL important and memorable, what is the MOST memorable NSV since you have started your weight loss journey?

This has been the first time I have stuck with this journey for 2 weeks straight (and I'm not stopping). The biggest NSV for me is having someone notice that I was losing weight just a short week and a half into it. My scale has not moved much, but someone sure noticed it. The best part was that I had seen her just days before I started this journey again, and she had no idea I was working at it! I defnitely made not only my day, but it is helping me stick with it. :)

QOTD Saturday October 1- Today marks the end of week 1. How has being in the star challenge affected your journey this week?

First, I am so sorry that I am late answering this question. I was traveling all day on Saturday and Sunday (I am so tired today). :)

I think that being in this challenge has really made me more aware of everything that I am doing. I have a partner that I like to talk with, and I want to do even better because she is watching me. :) I also have a team that is counting on me to lose weight, and that pushes me to do even more than I would normally do. I have already loved this challenge, and hope that everyone stays just as engaged throughout the entire 9 weeks. This is such a great group!

QOTD Sunday October 2 - Although they are ALL important and memorable, what is the MOST memorable NSV since you have started your weight loss journey?

Hmm, this is a great one. I think that my favorite NSV was last week. I have had a pair of jeans that a co-worker gave to me for about 2 years now. She gave them to me when I first started losing and was in a 16. They are the brand Seven for all Mankind which run really small (seriously small), but they are a size 12. When I lost 30 lbs last year I thought for sure I would fit into them. But, I didn't. I was comfortably wearing a size 12 at the time, but these pants just wouldn't fit still. Well, i tried them on the other day on a whim, and they fit. And they fit perfectly. I am so excited! Best NSV ever.

Sorry I was out of pocket yesterday. Thus far my main NSV is being back on track. I can workout again - not as hard as I used to, but slowly my energy and health are coming back. Hopefully by Christmas I'll be rocking P90X again!

Last night when I was getting ready to go to a going away party, I tried on some clothes that I haven't tried for awhile and they actually fit! Not perfect, but I am on my way....
