    Woot another 2.3 miles done today. Yay!! Hmm...maybe I should of done the 30 mpw option instead.

    Can you tell me how to get the ticker you have. I really would like to find a ticker to track my progress
  • well only 1 mile on the treadmill, I guess I need to get a pedometer cuz I am not counting those steps.

    I'm right on track to make my 30.. I need to pick it up though, Sundays are usually slower.
  • 2 more miles this morning before work!

    I'm not using a pedometer. I have a cheapy one, but even sitting here in my chair at my desk and moving around a little it thinks I'm taking steps. So, I'm going to just stick with actual purposeful walks that I measure out. I do walk a little more than that throughout the day in my normal routine but I'm just not gonna count that.

    I'll be walking again this afternoon on my lunch break - planning 3 miles. That'll get me over my 15 miles for the week...so everything else will be bonus!!

  • 4 miles yesterday and 3 for today - today was an accident though. I got lost walking around my campus. Duke senior faiiiilll. Feel free to gloat about UNC wildbeal. hahaha
  • Did 65 minutes of yoga and walked 5 miles on treadmill. I wonder if we can use the elipitcal as well to count as a walk/run.

  • All this rain has made the past 2 days stink... but hey, I am walking in a parade Saturday and going hiking - that will help :)

    1.6 miles today, so 12.9 miles total this week... I have a whole lot of walking to do, yeehaw!!

  • Hello Everyone! Sorry I haven't been posting a lot. This week has been difficult emotionally (family problems) and also physically (I've been sick). I have been trying to keep up with my walking and I really hope I'll be able to hit my goal for the week. I hope everyone is doing well with the challenge!

    Im still here, been a busy week but getting lots of steps in!
    For those with pedometers, how are you calculating steps to miles? 2000 steps for a mile?
    I need to get a ticker going
  • Im back at it. Got 2 mi in this morning, had to wear sandals but at least no more limping ;)

    Sorry, forum access has been a bit limited as I've been away for a couple of days and I've only just spotted this :ohwell:

    This is the site I used for my exercise ticker, it's very easy to set up - choose a ruler, then a slider, fill in all the info on the next screen, then copy and paste the bbCode into your signature tab on MFP. Bookmark the page so you can find it easily to update your daily total - it will automatically show the change in your signature here, like magic :smile:

    I did 4.2 miles yesterday, my ticker is updated.
  • I'm not walking today, other than in my normal daily routine. I've been having some leg, hip and back pain so I'm taking it easier today. I don't want to overdo it and then have to stop altogether. No, no, NO!! Not when I'm finally getting back on track with my exercise after about 4 years of NOT being on track!!

    Anyway, I got in my miles for this week already so I'm good. I was supposed to get up and do my run/walk program this morning but I opted out for today. I need to rest my hip and leg.

    It's so frustrating when you get into the routine of exercising and start to enjoy it and then something starts to hurt, isn't? I damaged something in my calf a few weeks ago and I'm slowly getting back up to where I was but I'm terrified it will happen again and I'll have to start over! You've done well this week to meet your target so soon, a day or two resting is a good idea though :flowerforyou:
  • Finally a break in the rain... my walking/running is getting back on track. Have a lot to make up the next 3 days but, it is doable if I stay focused...

    3 miles done today so far (not in ticker yet) and hoping to get in another 3-5.

    My double shift of work have me behind but I'm hoping to get back on track. Only did 1 mile of walking yesterday. I plan to do some running and brisk walking today.

    Rain rain go away. 4 miles this morning with "Walk Away the Pounds" and 1 mile this afternoon with "The Biggest Loser Power Walk" so 5 miles done for the day. Ticker updated 10 more miles to go for the week.

    Everyone is doing awesome, keep up the great job.

    Time is flying by. Sorry I haven't been on here yet. And I really don't have any steps to post. But I will get my feet moving this week I promise. Have company at the moment and not doing any extra walking in. I think by Monday things will settle down and I can move that ticker I made.

    Great job everyone on moving!!! Keep it up.

    7.75 miles today. So 20.65 miles for the week. 10 miles in 2 days is totally doable, so yay! Marching in a 3 mile long parade tomorrow... woot

    I did not make my goal of 25 miles so bring on the punishment!! I am going out of town for the weekend so may not be able to check in till Monday, have a great weekend all!!
