C'mon 223! 223! 223!
This little smiley is inspiring "223" to join the parade tomorrow!0 -
Marianne, your 223 is not coming tomorrow....you are going to see 222! 223 is not even on your scale so don't try to find it!

Marianne, I so agree and relate to your sentiments about holidays. We have each other to lean on this year. Thank GOD!!!!
LoriAnyone have tips on easing heat flashes? Have had them pretty consistently for the past two weeks.
I think sugar triggers mine. No suggestions though, other than the obvious.0 -
-
Marianne,
Does that mean you are taking all of us with you??? Do you have that big of a suitcase?? Oh and the fees you would incur...OUCH!! But I will have to be the last one to crawl in, I am claustrophobic !!
What day do we leave??? I have to know how much weight I have to get off between now and then.0 -
HAHA, Love the padded room,Marianne!!!!!! As soon as Denise feels better, I am going to learn how to go those cute little things!!!! I think the whole holiday thing started with me talking about 10 lbs. by Thanksgiving!!!! omg, are we all from the same familt?????0
-
Ok, i just got cut off, I guess my computer is acting up again. That last word was family!!!lol I get very down over the holidays, as soon as Christmas stuff starts showing up in stores(now), I get very sad. Marianne, you are going to do so good tomorrow at weigh in!!!! Then, the new challenge begins, yay! Evelyn, I hope your daughter is as smart as you, and sees that this the best thing for her, of course, the rules!!! Denise, get better, this is a beautiful fall day here, how about there? Lori, the weather, chocolate, stress triggered my hot flashes. All I could do was wait it out, there is a cream that I heard is very good, ask your gyny.:explode: That's what my face would look like in the middle of a hot flash,hahaha0
-
I find sugar def affects me and the hot flashes.
I've also discovered with my guru that some of my hot flashes are actually emotion based and I'm using an oral spray and relaxation and thought processes to lessen them. Once again I'm amazed cus they have been less frequent and I handle them better, they are shorter. He's kinda out there and I totally wonder some times but after 20+ years he has done so much good for me. He now goes around the country teaching other professionals his ways, that's a new part of his stuff. Kinda cool.
oh yea.... LOVE THIS! Borrowing!0 -
Hot flashes....HAHAHA Got to love them! Winter nights are more bearable when you get them, but other than that, I can do without them.
Ok, my question for today.....On Saturday, I will be spending the day with my daughter and her family camping. No overnight, just all day. Ken is going on a ride and I am going to the campground to help with trick or treating. It is a huge thing at this campground. I will be handing out candy while my daughter Candi, and her husband Jason, and Hunter (the wild grandson) go camper to camper collecting lots of candy. I normally have Ken there with me and he hands it all out. I stand in the background and watch the kids. My problem is dealing with people...my nerves will be a wreck and when that happens I eat. How can I avoid eating all the candy I am supposed to hand out, while I freak out ? I don't do crowds, or lots of people and I thought Ken was going to be with me. I can't tell my daughter I can't do it for her, I told her weeks ago I would. There are supposed to be hundreds of people and kids at this thing. Any suggestions?
Told you I have crazy questions for you...today is just the beginning.0 -
Denise- Fake it til you make it comes to my mind.
Put a smile on, say a comment once in awhile to a kid about their costume and pass out the candy. I doubt you will need to have discussions as they are on a mission. Maybe a costume of some sort for yourself would make you feel more comfortable?
Try to relax and don't make it worse in your mind before you go... I always do that and then think what an idiot I was... not saying you are one! But you know we can get ourselves nervous more than necessary sometimes.
Try to enjoy! I know you can do this! :flowerforyou:0 -
I agree with the new girl, I don't like alot of people around me, but just smile, pretend they're naked or you're naked, go into your own little world, I do that alot, so serious!!!!:glasses: wear sunglasses, have fun with yourself, pretend we're all there!!! Usually the times I get myself the most worked up, are my best times in the end.0

Oh,by the way, new picture of my boy there, and good luck tomorrow!!!!!!0

NAKED??? NO WAY! Even the hubby don't see me naked and I avoid all mirrors! It isn't a pretty sight. Avoid it at all cost!!!
I was thinking maybe tomorrow if I find some time I may go over to the Party store and see if they have a simple costume or mask I might like...it has to be cheap though.
If not, I am screwed. I will survive...OH NO! There is that song again!0 -
Hi there,
Ended up at the ER with my parents. Dad had chest pain. They are keeping him over night; precautionary. Doing stress test in the morning. I am leaving again quickly. Staying overnight with my Mom. Will check in soon.

my nerves will be a wreck and when that happens I eat.
In that controlling the nerves is not an option, right? My suggestion is to eat really lightly before you go; basically stock piling your cals. Pack some treats; your favorite treats and maybe a sandwich or two so when you feel the urge to comfort yourself, you have controlled choices. Usually, if the kids are old enough the parent will stand in the background while the kids get their candy. But for those parents who want to engage in conversation with you (ugh), just smile and nod. There probably won't be many conversationalists (keeping my fingers crossed for you). You never know, maybe the parents don't like crowds either and are nervous too! You could strategically place your candy station too. For example, place your chair closer to the camper door instead of closer to the little road. Camper folk tend not to "invade" private camping space. And don't worry if the entire campground is sitting on the little road; you get to makeyour own rules here. That allows the parent to stand on the little road will the kid gets some candy.
Good luck with that ; ) Steve and I don't do crowds either.0 -

Good Morning Beauties, Lori, so sorry about your dad, and prayers coming his way. I knew when I saw your food diary, something was very wrong, thought it was your headache. I just sent my weight to you, Marianne. I walked like a nut all week, added exercises,I am done trying to figure it out. I will just do my best, that's the best I can do! Good luck to everyone,I'm rooting for you. Denise,my husband probably hasn't seen my body in 15 years!!!!:noway: You are funny, and you will be fine, dark glasses!!!!!:glasses: Will be watching for the #'s to come in!!!!!!!!0

Peggi, I love the new pic of the baby. I miss having one around. No more for me (or my girls).
OK, I did the weigh in thing for Marianne...bossy isn't she. (Just kidding) I am down 2 from last week, but really only down one since I didn't post the gain before I left for TN. Is that cheating?
I am going to get my butt in gear. I have decided that the 10 lbs by Thanksgiving isn't good enough for me...it puts me too close to Onederland. So I am going big..I want 13 by Thanksgiving. I know that is my goal for the first of the year, but what the heck. I am not slacking now, I need to get a big push going. You all can slap me back to reality at any time, but that is my new goal.
Everyone have a super fantastic weigh-in, and enjoy your weekend!0 -
Lori I'm keeping you, your dad and family in my thoughts today. Best wishes that it is minor and all works out well. We are here for you!
Yay Denise for your weight loss! I'm with you, lets do this! I'm just going for as much as I can, woman on a mission!
Peggi sweeeet baby Caden! Love the pic!
We got home late last night, good trip, all is getting better, etc. Not working this am, going in later for pm.
This morning my scale was still sweet talking to me! I'm out of the 230's!
Hello 229.0!!!! Yay!!!!
Now that husband is done clanking around and out the door I'm heading back for a little more sleep.
Best wishes to all for weigh in, will check in later, have a great day! :flowerforyou:0 -
Where are your numbers??? We are all waiting to see if you bypassed that 223...COME ON!!!0 -
Good Morning, Ladies,
Just a quick check in. They took Dad for every test imaginable and he had no difficulties. He won't be released until all the test results are back. Dad has history of strokes. This is the first time he has had noteworthy chest pain and they wanted to establish a baseline of testing should symptoms continue.
Didn't get much sleep last night. No, not from worrying... from Mom yelling at the cat! I wonder what quirks I will establish when I am in my 70s
My college kid is coming home today. I will be out at the hospital most of the day, but hopefully things settle down and I get to see her tomorrow.
I didn't catch any of the posts since yesterday afternoon. Will try to catch up soon.... and will most definitely weigh in.
Good luck to everyone. Have a great day and awesome weekend. So, comforting knowing the Bellas are behind you in all things. Thanks so much!

Lori, I am glad your dad is testing well. It's always such a worry, the circle of life, they spend most of their lives worrying about their kids, then everything shifts, and we worry and care for them. You mean you have no quirks yet??hahahahha Wow,I am old!!!! Good jobDenise, there is no such thing as cheating here, you earned what you earned, dag nabbit!!!!!!!! Are you feeling better? Evelyn, you sweet talker you, good job. You got to be thrilled. :drinker: I stayed the same, that's the thanks I got for not sucking up to my scale,I guess!!!! 13lbs, huh??? I'd better aim for 10, 13 might send me over the bridge!!! Ah, I wish I had a bridge icon!!!!! I'll check back for the rest of the weigh ins, going for a walk.0

My hubby sure has some weird quirks but not me, never!
Well didn't get back to sleep, enjoying our morning together
and.... after the McDonalds food from last night floooooowed thru me...
I got back on the scale.... can you believe 228.0!
I'm reporting it as it will help keep me accountable for next week! And a bit more buffer from the 230's.
Heck Yea!
Have a great day! :flowerforyou:0 -
Lori..glad to hear your dad is doing ok. Hopefully, he will be home soon.
I weighed in at 188.4 this morning. Altho I am incommuacado at the time, I am hoping I wont be this way forever. Just dealing with a lot of stuff and trying very hard not to completely withdraw from everything. I tend to turn inward. So, keep me in your thoughts and prayers (as I do you) and dont drop me from the group!!
peace out, elizabeth0 -
