Okay gang,
I am participating in one group challenge and most of the members have disappeared. I need a group of active members who are interested in exercising, challenging each other, encouraging each other and nominating a new lead each month. The lead will set forth weekly challenges for the group!
My challenge fort his week is a simple one. Drink your water everyday (ok I'm not good at this), and do 100 crunches everyday. Who's in? We can weigh in on Sundays, will be happy to track measurements if you add them here.
Let's get moving!

Hello !
I'm up for that I will try and be as active and commited as I can around work, I think challenges really help
xx0 -
Great that's what I think too! I missed three weeks because of a crazy work schedule. I need a new challenge to keep me going ;-)0
-
I would love to be in on this group!!!0
-
Awesome welcome!0
-
I'd love to be in on this, how do I join and get connected with everyone? I've never joined anything here yet?0
-
Me, me, me! I have been looking for a group to keep me motivated!
And drinking enough water is a big challenge for me!!!0 -
ya!!! Welcome ladies! Harleygirl you can send friend requests. I will send you one to get you started!0

I would love to join! Are there "groups" on MFP? I've been using MFP for a few months but haven't tried out any social aspects yet.0
-
Can I join, or is it too late?0
-
Welcome, gonnabefitgirl, zumnsl and balowry1. The group is filling quickly, this is great!0

this is probably an odd question, but is there a way to do crunches with out laying down? I have pretty severe vertigo problems (although not as bad as it has been, thank You, L___).
I do have an exercise peanut (like a ball, only more stable for people like me) and can do rolling hips under. Would that work?? if so, than I'd like to join. I'm honestly not sure I could do 100 to start with, but eventually I could. I probably couldn't be a lead because I am pretty limited in my abilities and movement, but I'd like to be in some sort of challenge. :~)0 -
JCMercyGrace that's sounds like it would work to me! You are welcome to substitute any exercise that works for you!0
-
Ok room for 11 more members!0
-
Ok well this new group is already motivating me. i got in 30 minutes of exercise inside since it is cold and wet outside! I did 25 minutes of Wii Zumba followed by my 100 crunches, 30 push ups, and 3 minutes of running up and down the stairs! The dog thought I was crazy but the stairs really got my heart rate up! :-) Anyone else get in any good workouts or try out any nice healthy foods today?0

It's about 11:15am here, so far I have resisted the coke (diet at least) urge and have downed 3 glasses of water. No exercise yet, it is also very windy and rainy outside.
My morning has bern full of trying to teach my 8 week old to self settle.
Once he's asleep I will get some crunches in!0 -
Nice work Melsy - I'm on EST so it is 6:30 here and I have 5 glasses of water in - 3 to go!0
-
Still room for 11 members if anyone else would like to join us! The more the merrier!0
-
So, do we post here daily or how does this work? My signature ticker shows my weight progress, I'm honestly not much of one for posting pictures 0.o but I can post that I drink Way More than 8 - 8oz glasses of water in a day. so, I'm good there. Now to the crunches...0
-
If you want me to keep track of our progress I can do that. I have made a spreadsheet that I can share and we can track measurements and weight or not. I'm open to whatever the group wants to do! I'm about to track my measurements now.0

I'm game!0

How is everyone doing? I got my run in (Week 1, Day 2 of Couch to 5k) earlier. My oldest daughter went with me, which was a great motivator to keep going. I didn't get 100 crunches, but I did do 48 bicycle crunches. I figure I'll work up to 100 of those because I'm new to that exercise and don't want to injure myself. (After having so many babies, I really need to work that area!) I managed to drink my water.
All in all it was a good day.
JCMercyGrace:this is probably an odd question, but is there a way to do crunches with out laying down?
If you have a large yoga ball, you could try the Exercise Ball Crunch. They have a tutorial on how to do it here:http://exercise.about.com/od/abs/ss/abexercises_3.htm
There are other ab exercises for those with vertigo here: http://www.livestrong.com/article/429142-ab-exercises-with-no-vertigo/ (Oh, I hope I didn't break a forum rule...)
I hope that helps.0 -
Derailed already by my children! I had 2 sickies yesterday so spent all day dealing with those.
Back on board today (would like to point out that I am awake at 5:27am. Baby boy woke up at 3:50am and he is back in bed, sleeping happily, while I am now WIDE awake)0 -
Yesterday I did probably about 100 of my modified crunches, but I lost count (I didn't do them all at once, but through the day). I know I did at least 75, and possibly 125, but I really don't know.
diet-wise I derailed myself, and I don't know why :-(. I'm REALLY tired. (part of the many health issues, but I'm trying so hard to fight them).
Still today not great, but also not terrible. I'll do better this afternoon.
Lots of paper work I need to catch up. I want to get to the treadmill and crunches also. Here's hopin' Salmon and sides for dinner tonight.
Hugs to all of you. Thanks for letting me be part of this team {{{{{hugs}}}}}0 -
I have once again let work get in the way of my motivation and exercise. Sadly I haven't even been getting my water in. Tomorrow is another day! Keep plugging away team!0
-
Hi, I've been really good. Worked out everyday so far this week including my 30 day shed I just got. Was so sore the first day I could barely walk LOL. But I think this is going to be a good week for me! Getting all my water in and then some. Hope sunday brings a good loss! Have a great night everyone!0

hallzz, One month at a time, one day at a time. I've had two days this week that were way off. I did better food wise and exercise, however I haven't done any crunches today. I'm in a lot of pain, I think it is weather changes.
I'll keep trying, keep hoping, and keep working. Often things get in the way; don't let it get you down. :flowerforyou: :happy:0 -
Thanks JC! I've been bad but it will get better. It really helps to have the support of friends! Lots of stress this week but I've been able to put some difficult work and personal things behind me. Next week should be better. We are also in the middle of getting a new roof which just creates more work and more excuses! I will exercise tomorrow! I'm not in a huge rush to be skinny I just want to be healthy and I am getting more physically fit so I feel good about that!0
-
No exercise for me today. I was fine till about 10:30am then a head cold struck. (thanks kids!)
Plus I have been awake since 2am so I'm guessing I'll be asleep by 7:30 tonight!!!
Just trying to keep my food on track and my water up.0
