this is the last time...i promis...just trying to harvest any last ideas out there...so i can keep coming back to this list of goodies.

my cousin shared this with me:

1 pound chicken breast, divided into 4 equal portions
marinade in 4 zip lock bags with lime juice and your favorite spice mix (she recommended trader joes mix)
    grill or broil
pull one out as needed for lunch, dinner, snacks

roll into a corn tortilla with salsa
    mix into 1/2 cup pasta
stuff into a half a pita bread

I love a poached egg on a piece of whole grain toast. about 190 calories and take 4 minutes to prepare. I eat it a lot for breakfast and/or as a snack in the afternoon.

    yesterday's quickie 232 calorie dinner:

frozen tilapia filets, 2 pieces (6oz)
    half of a large zucchini
half of a red bell pepper

sauteed the veggies with onion powder, garlic powder, some ground red pepper for spice and used zero calorie cooking spray then sauteed the tilapia filets with zero calorie spray and a good dosing of lemon juice. Quick, healthy and yummy! Not super filling but since I workout in the evening after work I usually snack around 4, therefore not needing a large dinner most of the time.

2 cups baby spinach, 1 cup steamed (then chilled) broccoli, 1 medium apple (cored and diced), 2 tbsps low or non-fat salad dressing (I recommend raspberry vinegarette) makes for a yummy, healthy salad.

Plain non-fat chobani and about 10 almonds

    Carrots and hummus

    Yesterday's breakfast was:

1/2 c low fat cottage cheese

    Mixed with

1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1 packet of Truvia

    Then I stirred in

    1 diced apple

And sprinkled 5 almonds on top.

The whole bowl came up to around 196 calories and it was very filling and tasty.

    That sounds really good!

Starkist Tuna Lunch Creation! Be sure to buy the one that you mix yourself--it comes with a packet of reduced-calorie mayonnaise and relish. I skip the relish and use 1/4 of the mayonnaise packet (12 calories) and it's a great, satisfying lunch for under 200 calories :)

I mix up some greek yogurt with paprika, garlic salt and dill weed and use as a veggie dip. It tastes like a very rich, fattening dip and is far from it!!

I also like to make flax seed meatballs - they are very good. You can use turkey or lean ground beef, mix in some chopped onion, salt & pepper, cilantro, apple, -- whatever you like in there -- with an egg and several tablespoons of ground flax seed powder. Bake and then keep on hand.

I am eating this right now and it is really good! I just didn't add any almonds.
