Females: How many calories are you eating daily?

I understand. I still have at least 29 lbs to lose, so I am willing/crazy. But I have found that depending on cals in what I eat I am usually satisfied. But if I burn alot during exercise and need an eve snack I won't hesitate to eat something. I am realizing too to look at overall for the week and if I screwed up a day it could still be ok.0

All these numbers show me that it depends on each individual. I am glad you all are getting results. :happy: I have been too. For those who eat back calories, do you lose the same amount as if you didn't?
I have never tried not eating them back, there is just no way I could not eat them! With eating them I am losing about 10lbs a month on average. I have lost 39lbs since June 1st. I wouldn't want to lose more than that because I really hope I can keep it off and know I have a better chance at that if I lose it slower rather than fast.1 -
Im 17 and weigh 160lbs! I eat between 1350 and 1500 calories a day and dont usually eat back my exercise calories, only if im hungry!!0

I am 24 years old, 5'4", 166 pounds and I shoot for 1200 cals/day. 1300 is the high point I try to stay under. Unless I'm feeling as if my body really needs to compensate for an extra hard workout, i never eat back the "earned" calories. I earned those so I can lose weight, not keep eating!0

Anywhere from about 900 (too few, I know) to about 2000. It all depends on timing and how nutty the day is. But I am faithfully getting out there to run (and I use that word loosely) every other evening for 60-80 minutes, so weight is coming off nicely. I am strength training more often now as well.0

I net between 1200-1500 I have found that giving myself a range helps me stay on track better instead of a set number. I do eat back my excersize calories and I make sure that I always Net at least 12001

I'm 58, 5'6", and as of this morning, weigh 125 pounds. MFP has my maintenance calories set at 1470, which is evidently too low. My weight is still drifting down.For those who eat back calories, do you lose the same amount as if you didn't?
Hard to say, as I've always eaten back at least 2/3rds of them and have lost the last 20 pounds eating all of them. But I can tell you that I've yet to hit a plateau. Even now that I want my weight to stabilize, it hasn't. I'm still losing.1 -
The more I eat, the better my results have been. But by "results," I'm not just talking about the number on the scale. I mean my energy level, mood, body composition and abilities. IE, running longer and faster without feeling like I'm dying, being able to hold planks longer, pushups from toes instead of from knees, lifting heavier weights.
I'm around 1500 + exercise calories, so usually around 1800-2000 a day. I don't limit my carbs or fat, but try to stay around 2000 or less on sodium (but I've been lax about that lately) and over 100 on protein. I typically only log my food Monday through Friday and play it by ear on weekends, but this week, my husband has been on vacation so I didn't want to fuss with calories. Even if I eat "too much" this week, it's not going to have any lasting effects... I know anything I might gain will come right off again with more disciplined eating.
I'm 39 and 127 pounds. I'm very satisfied with my results, and the only thing keeping me from going on maintenance full time is that I want to look fantastic in my Halloween costume. Then I'm going to relax on things a bit for the winter. As long as I'm around 130, I'm a happy camper.1 -
I'm 29. I eat 1600-1700 calories on training days (160 g protein, 120 g carbs, 80 g fat), and 1250-1350 on non-training days (115 g protein, 80 g carbs, 60 grams fat). I'm at a deficit of 500 to 600 calories every day, and I am very particular about hitting my macronutrient targets, or getting as close as I can without going over on calories. My training performance suffers when I pay attention only to calories and not to the actual quality and nutritional characteristics of the food. I know that sounds anal and obsessive, and for someone who is in maintenance and isn't really trying to get leaner or stronger, it is. But I have found this to be essential for me since I have fat loss and strength gain goals that I'm working toward.0

I am 29 five seven and 202 lbs and try to eat 1700. I often eat part of my excerise cals. Im in a plateau right now so I think I need to lower my cals on non- work days and increase them on work days (I work part time in a physically demanding job)0

I average 1,250-1,300. Don't eat back my exercise cals and work out on average 30 or so minutes a day. I figure if it is part of the way I live, why eat back the calories. -I zig zag a ton! My weight has been a stable 118 pounds - 5'7in and I'm happy with that. If I wanted to loose I'd probably eat 1,000-1,200...maybe I have a slow metabolism? But I feel good and am satisfied with how much I eat I've been counting calories for a very long long time and know that 1,300-1,400 calories I maintain, 1,600 up I gain, 1,000 ish I get smaller.1

I often get confused with this topic, but here is what I am eating
I'm 37, 5'7" and I currently weigh 202. I've lost 45 lbs this way and I've got around another 30 to be at my ultimate goal.
I log 1200 calories a day.
I burn between 700-1200 calories M-F and then on the weekends anywhere from 300-1000 calories depending on if I go to the gym or not.
I always eat under my daily per MFP anywhere from 1000-600 left over each day.

I'm 23. 5'3" and currently 118lbs (well. my weight fluctuates during the day, i usually stick with my weigh-in when i wake up but after i worked out today i hopped on the scale and saw 115.8 lol)
I aim for 1200 cals a day but never usually hit it, I'm usually under - I typically splurge on Sundays because it's football and I like to have some pizza/wings/beer (terrible habit but i love it.) so I usually go over to about 1800 on that day. I don't eat back my exercise calories and try to work out at least 5 days a week for anywhere between 30-120 minutes.
Started on MFP in August and went from 129 to 118 (lol, or 115.8 if i'm looking at my mid-day weigh lol)0 -
I am 33 - 5'7 1/2" and I weight 197.4. Im having a hard time eating enough food to be at 1200 daily but I have really been trying hard to eat between 1200-1300 calories a day. My BMI says I should be eating 1650 a day but I cant eat that much food. So, obviously, I have not been eating my exercise calories back. I heard its good to do so though, so hoping I can work up to eating what I really should, and not just the bare minimum of 1200 so i dont starve myself.
Also, I dont quite understand the net thing- my net is always under 1200 calories if that is even important or not. I dunno. Im talking basic calories total.0 -

Considering you're at the LOWEST weight to be considered healthy for your height it's not surprising that you're maintaining on a weight loss amount. 1250-1300 calories is "dieting" for MOST people and should be for you as well but I suspect that this is an unnaturally low weight for your body and it simply isn't losing because you're already at a dangerously low weight/body fat for your height.0 -

I am 22, 5'6" and 155 pounds. I "cycle" between 1000 and 2000 calories, based on how I feel during the day. And I lose 0.5 pounds per week, which is as fast as my body wants to go right now at any calorie restriction. I was having the same results at 1200-1500 per day, so meh. I do eat my exercise calories eventually if not right away.
When I was heavier I was eating 1200 and losing 2-4 pounds per week. And I ALWAYS ate my exercise calories.0 -
I'm 29, 5'3, 164 lb now YAY! And mfp has me on 1300 calories to lose 1.5 lb a week. And I exercise so I can eat more. Most days I'm a bit under my calorie allowance plus burn calories, depending on the day.0

I'm 20, 5'6" and 145 pounds. I normally eat 1000-1200 calories a day. I don't try to eat my exercise calories, but I always exercise on days that I go over. Along with the regularly scheduled days.
So the exercise rather just makes it so I didn't go over.0 -
I'm 43, 5'5 and 197 pounds. MFP has me at 1590 per day. I average between 1200 - 1500 and i don't eat back my exercise calories. When I started MFP I was only exercising 2-3 days per week and on the days that I didn't exercise, I was getting close to going over my allotted calories for the day. Therefore, I increased my exercise to 6 days per week.0

It has me set at 1,200. I generally stay within that limit and usually eat back some or all of my exercise calories.0

I eat 1,600 calories a day. I was on a 50/30/20 ratio (carbs/protein/fat) and now I am on 40/40/20 so I can get more cut I do not eat exercise calories back but if I do go over I don't panic0

I'm 5'4 and 156 pounds. MFP is set at 1200 calories for me. I usually burn a little over 300 per day with excercise, and eat somewhere between 1200-1400, so I eat back some of those excercise calories but not all. I have a "cheat meal" on Fridays and make sure that I don't go over 2,000 for that day, so really my ultimate goal is to not have more than 8,400 "net calories" a week (equals out to the same number as 1200 per day, but less on some and more on others). I tried to set myself to lose 2 pounds a week, but I guess I can't go more than 1.5 on MFP because that would set my calories under 1200, which they won't do. I've been at this for about 2 weeks and lost 6 pounds, but that's totally because I was WAY overeating and not excercising at all for about 2 months prior to starting this- so once my body "gets used to it" (probably by this week) I certainly don't expect to keep losing at that quick of a rate.0

I'm 58, 5'2" and eating about 1700 cal a day. Goal calories are 1200 but I earn at least 500cal working out, this is the first week I have tried to eat all my calories goal+exercise and lost 1.8 pounds. Funny when I was trying not to eat my exercise calories I was just losing 1/2 lb. a week. Lost more eating more. I love it!!!!!!1
