I gained. Sorry, team! I am DETERMINED to have a loss next week! I am baffled. My clothes are looser and I just knew I had lost. I was mystified by the higher number! I have been eating pretty good (I thought) and I've been to the gym almost every day!

You are probably building muscle, so you won't see a weight loss right away, but as you said the clothes are getting loser. You must be toning up!!
Way to go! Hang in there, the weight will start to go next.:flowerforyou:

I had a 1 lb loss so that is good I guess. They cancelled school here today because of ice so I still didnt make it to the gym. It is now above freezing so maybe some of it will start to melt although I am sure it will just refreeze .

I got a call from my sons teacher today. He didnt turn in 4 assingments last week and went from an A to an F because of it. He is getting 2 F's on his report card now. His other one was so stupid. All he had to do was turn in his report card the last time and he would have an A in Social Studies but because he didnt do it he is getting an F. Not sure what to do about this. I dont want him to fail but if he doesnt get his act better he will fail.

Anyways I just needed to vent about that.

    Connie

I hear ya! What is worse, is that my son will do the homework (I can see him do it) and then he forgets to turn it in or can't find it when he gets to school, or he leaves it at home!!! argggg:noway:

My son does that alot also. He says he forgets. Like a paper that I signed and he got into trouble for already and he still doesnt turn it in to his teacher.

How old are your sons? My 2nd son smokes dope. How do you like that? Little f*#&*r won't quit either.
Wonder how many calories I'd burn choking him like a chicken? 17.gif Kids are so wrotten sometimes. It's no wonder I am mental and have eating issues and want to run away somedays. Oh, and to make things just even better...I gained a pound. Exercise 6 days a week and watch what I eat (compared to how I was before!), and what do I get...a kick in the *kitten*. Does my whining sound like Joelle or Carla?

Alright my kids sound like angels I will stop complaining about them. But then again my kids are only 7 and 5 so they have time to drive me to the nut house. O hang on I have already been there twice damn. I was down on the scale this week and I feel great about it however my daughter had a doctor appointment like 2 hours away from our house I had to have my mother in law drive us and she doesn't really watch what she eats so that landed us at Taco Johns. :grumble: I came home to take a nap and then I went to shovel snow. I keep forgetting to wear my HRM while doing that because I really want to know how many calories Im burning. I really feel it in my abs or yea and my damn back. Thank goodness Im going to chiro on friday because I really need it at this point. I plan on working out and the extra 10 mins maybe. My husband isn't feeling good so its all on me tonight.

  • Hi everyone! I love this challenge and thankfully i am doing ok. But i have to tell you, I haven't been eating my excersice calories, and as much as i try I am getting below 1200 cals a day. Should i be losing more because of this? I am working out ateat 45 minutes everyday (just walking briskly, because that is all i can do right now)

BTW, congrats to everyone, you all did great and I am so proud of us all for sticking to it, even when it gets seriously tough.

My boys are 13 and 17. So I guess I can stop blaming them for the pregnancy fat. JK
My 13 year old actually goes with me sometimes to the gym. My lucky 17 year old never had an ounce of fat on him. (guess he didn't take after mom!)

My boys are 8 and 10 and its the 10 yr old that I am having trouble with in school. So I guess I still have alot more of these years to make it through along with the fact I still have an 18 mth old that I still have to get through school LOL.

Congrats on my team for all the weight loss that we are doing. I have only lost 3 lbs overall but I am trying. At least I am losing. I was the same weight for over a month so this is better than nothing.

Right now I am going cabin crazy though. I have been stuck at my house since Saturday. My hubby says he doesnt think my car will make it back up this one part of the road that is about a mile or more from my house and it is the only way to make it home. I want to get out     I get bored so easily LOL

Thank you so much you always know how to make me feel better. I did end up exercising. WAY later than normal but I got it in. I feel a little bit better anyways. I have wonderful news I have a HRM and while looking at my HR I noticed that my HR is going back to normal a lot quicker than normal. Before it use to take me about 1/2hr or more and now it only took like 10mins or so. Im so proud of myself.

Ok.. i have to vent too..
exercised 5x this week, ate accordingly to the food-log- ok, didn't go over my calories-
and no change and like the other girl said .. i thought it's going to be about 3-4 lbs at least ! .. yeah yeah.. i know ' muscles " but.. i want to see a smaller # dang it !

Today i got called into the principles office- I have twin boys- 10 year old.. and a girl 8 years..
Well the " younger twin " apparently was " blowing kisses to a girl ".. all right- what makes the issue really interesting is the fact that they are in a " religious private school " and that is a huge " no no "
So he is in trouble.. in the school- disciplinary and first warning.. second one will be suspension for a week !!! .. It hurts to be " strickt " but i'm telling myself " you are doing it for his own good " so i have to somehow implement the same rutine at home as well- no fun, no tv, no snacks, no playing with brother.. for the rest of the week.. ugh.. at least my mother had a reason to punish me , it was always bc i gave someone a black eye or .. something in that direction :ohwell: .. but never for " blowing kisses".. :noway:

    Ok.. now i did vent..

Blue team - let's do this.. i have a feeling next week is going to be " my " week.. 2 weeks almost no loss at all and working so hard.. i'm thinking " big #'s " .. ok- dreaming about it

I haven't been called into the principal office yet  however Im sure my daughter will have me there several times. My parents say she is just like me and my parents say she is my payback. They say they always wished it double on me. I can't believe I was like this however. I thought I was always good. dang. I love my kids but :grumble: For example my daughter today had a doctor appointment with a male doctor (that information will come in handy later) We went out to eat (bad idea for diet) and while we were in the restroom I asked her if she was going to make a pretty picture for the doctor the next time we see him and she said to me. Mom is a cool picture because he is a boy. I couldn't stop laughing.

I feel fat today - glad I don't have to step on the scale today.

About kids - I have a 3 year old boy that I already have to discipline because he gives black eyes and pushes kids if they touch his toys - there are days that it is tempting to tell my son he is a brat but I don't like name calling - so it is timeouts and talking toos. I am scared of when he gets in school. My 5 year old daughter fights every morning to not go to school but apparently is just a sweetheart when she gets there (according to her teacher). I never had issues like this with my sixteen year old. She loved school and would never look for a confrontation. AAAHHHHH!!!!! I blame their dad!! That was easy. Have a great day everyone.

I got my first call to the Principles office earlier in the year - a boy had picked on my son for a couple months and the boy punched him so my son gave him a whopper of a black eye. I told the principle I was proud of my son for sticking up for himself and he agreed however it's a mandatory suspension. Oh well he stayed home with me and relaxed. What upset me most was that the other kid had already been in so many fights they were sending him to alternative school at the end of the nine weeks which was 3 days after their altercation. Really ticked me off that they would keep a kid like that around all the others and punish them if they stood up for themselves.

Didn't exercise yesterday - had SO much going on - will do all 3 levels of BL Cardio today
I still am having trouble with using the bathroom - I started a thread about it and some good suggestions but most of them I've tried - I'll keep trying and not worry about it.

I burnt my finger tips on a Fiber One Pastry yesterday - the blister on my "birdie" finger was the size of a nickel and swelled up huge - it was gross. I am talking MAJOR pain - who would thought your finger tips could cause so much pain?! Popped the blisters last night and coated with neosporin and bandaids - not throbbing now....there's my whine for day .....

Hope everyone makes today a successful day!

    Good morning people!!

I am so looking forward to my work out today!! I have so much going on but can't wait to get down to it!! I'm waiting for my Polar to be delivered today, hopefully before I get on the TM but more than likely they'll probably bring it late!! Just the way things seem to go for me!! :grumble: No, no, let's be positive today! POSITIVE!!
Anyway, I'm having knee issues today. I noticed after my step class yesterday that it was a bit achy. I had raised the step up a level & I can't help but wonder if that was the start of the problem.... I should be okay though. Just have to keep my eye on it!

So, I'll have to check on how we measured up to the other teams last week. I'm sure that's in another thread somewhere!

    Have a great day!! :drinker:

Looks like lots of people are having kid probs! :ohwell: :flowerforyou: I remember I hated to go to school. I only got in trouble a few times (nothing major), but I just hated it so bad. I was always overweight. I remember a certain boy picking on me in Kindergarten. I remember two boys picking on me on the bus. I remember a girl who would cut in front of me in the lunch line because I "didn't need to eat." I remember people laughing at me when we had to do those stupid shuttle runs. I remember being picked last for team sports. I remember not running the entire mile and people making fun of me. I remember I was sitting in the cafeteria one day and my shirt must've been a little short and you could see the top of my undies - an upperclassmen thought it was okay to yell across the room that nobody wanted to see my underwear. I remember crying in the bathroom. I remember never getting a date to any dances, except for senior year (pity date?). I remember wanting sooooo bad to be a member of our swing choir, but not doing it because the dresses we had to wear were spaghetti-strap and the people who were in the choir were the very ones who used to laugh at me and make me sad.

Okay... wow. Vent of the morning. :indifferent: Sorry, guys. I hated school so bad. College, on the other hand, was great!! :drinker:

Anyway.... good job on the losses!! and, if you didn't lose this week, no worries! It's a brand new week. :flowerforyou:

Sanifrey - I hope you get your HRM in time!!!!

I'm starting a new weight training regimen . . . but, I'm not really sure how to work all the muscles in my body. My boyfriend is trying to teach me some things, but some of the moves he says work my chest, I feel them more in my arms. :ohwell: I dunno... I guess we'll see how that goes.

Well the good news is that the kids finally went to school today. There was a 2 hour delay and the bus didnt run up here but my father in law took them to school. Bad news, I am still stuck at the house. Hubby thinks I can make it down..its the getting back home part that he thinks I will have trouble with.     This is my 4th day of missing my morning workout classes. I tell you when I go back next week I am going to be so out of it.

Anyways.... at least I get some peace and quiet today especially when my 18 mth old goes down for nap. That will be nice.

Just checking in - I have taken the morning off of work to get caught up on some homework. I have already completed my math homework and am almost done with my seminar homework. I have a ton of things to get done over the weekend. I got up a little after 8 this morning and have to leave by 12 to get to school on time. I am hoping that I have time to get a small workout in this morning. If not I will be at it tonight after school and work.

Have a great day everyone!!! :flowerforyou:

I know that feeling. Part of the reason why I go to an online college. It's just easier than feeling bad about myself everyday. I didn't start gaining weight until middle school, but it was just as hard to be an overweight teenager. I always did the 'go with friends to the dance' thing since I never had a date. Bummer.

It's official! We're getting the apartment and we should move in about a week or so. Unfortunately there's sooo much we need, from washer and dryer to shower curtain to dressers and a trash can. I have a ridiculously huge list, but we've agreed that we can live on what we have for now and each paycheck we'll invest in another item for our place. It's the smart way to do it, and a lot better than maxing credit cards.

I've already started planning my workout room! I'm bouncing off the walls!!! I've been wanting somewhere to workout that has ROOM! I'm always bumping into a coffee table or a bed or something now, and modifying so I don't destroy things. It's gonna be sweet. The other plus is being able to stock an empty fridge with HEALTHY food! About time! Not one dutch chocolate muffin or bag of chips shall step through that door!

Okay enough of that. I'm making time for myself today and cranking out Plyo after work! Feeling good and giddy about all the changes that'll be taking place. I think everything is finally changing for the better and arranging itself in a way that will support my new lifestyle.

Don't ya just love it when things work out?

Rach - that's great - enjoy the decorating such fun! As for all the stuff you need - check the local paper - you may have people selling stuff cheap. I know when we bought our washer and dryer, (the washer had croaked) we gave away the dryer...to a good home of course!

Anyway - just had to share this....last night I took my son to a private training class for speed and agility with a little strenght thrown in there too - well while he was training this boot camp class of women started - I was jealous that I had to sit and watch and not get up and get my butt in gear - it looked so fun....can you beleive I was jealous that I wasn't exercising - ask me a few months back I'd have said - look at those skinny b***hes showing off. I wanted to join them....

What a difference in my outlook.....I was very proud to feel that way!:glasses:

Congrats on the apartment RahVR6!!! I have a whole house and am still bumping into things in every room that I try to work out in. I guess it is up to me to actually clean out a room and designate it. I just am not getting that done. Guess I will have to suffer than.

Ok Blue Team, let's try to step it up a notch even more this week! Let's kick some butt!!

I will be visiting my parents this weekend (my mom's birthday), and I am afraid of what will happen there. The house is loaded with candy, chips, and all other kinds of things that I don't need!! But I usually don't have the willpower to avoid it! This will be a test for me. :frown: I don't keep any of that stuff in my house, or healthier alternatives. Even if I do bring my own foods, I don't even eat them!

But, I will do my best, and remember that my Blue Team is counting on me, so I will try to succeed!

Wow! Lots to say from a Mom with Teens. First of all, blowing a kiss? Pick your battles Church School, he could have been hitting someone in the "kisser"! As of the kids and fighting...My son was always picked on when he was little. Typical victim, quiet and shy. So, this one time I was fed up with the the school not doing anything, so I told my older son to go and do a Judo move on this little puke so he'd leave my little guy alone. Well, the bully punched HIM in the face!!! So, one lunch hour, I loaded up the baby in the Tracker Snuggly, went to the school yard, and after the lunch bell rang, I found that Bully and went up to him and said looking him in the eyes..."if you touch my kid again, I'll break your arm". I turned around and walked away. The kid never touched him again, and a few years later, they bacame friends! Crazy Mom? Yup! Problems with these kids never change, just get different as they get older.:drinker:
