Hey everyone! Sorry I've been on the back burner. I've been really stressed this week. Being the controller of my company i had to make decisions that impacted others livelyhood. As a company were forced to layoff and cut pay by 8% across the board. I'm thankful to have a job at this point but it does'nt help with the weight loss goal - if anything I want to eat!!!! I hope I can pull a loss this week. If anyone has any words of wisdom please share. I feel like crap for letting people go - because I care!!! HELP!!!!!

    Hey Team

Just checking in.. Today i was enjoying the beautiful we ather h ere in Phoenix, so i went with husband and kids to a park, we were jogging, and today i was able for the first time to run without any breaks, and make that 2x !.. Wow.. i was really happy and proud.
My husband has started an acadamy this week- ( detention officer ) so he is going through some training and finally he has to work out too ! So it is a little better now when i'm not always allone. But 95% of my workouts i still have to do allone. Gosh.. it's not fair, he's been doing that training for only one week, and i must say last night ( after a stressfull week I saw him the first time and i was like .. :noway: me like .. .. why can't i lose weight and get abs like him ..?! .. MEN !

So.. i'm doing ok, sticking to the plan, hoping for some real results this week.

Alright everyone I took a day off. I hosted a babyshower and then went to a friends house. I didn't over eat but I ate stuff that I normally don't and my belly isn't liking it that is for sure. :grumble: I need to exercise but today has been a day a very full day. Im going to relax and then head to bed. Tomorrow is a new day. :flowerforyou:

jennNva - I am sorry that you have to stress over that - I would eat... My mother-in-law just got a permanent lay-off after 20 years with a company - which is only so frustrating because in 5 years she would be able to retire - now she has to start over. I can understand it from your end too - the financial world just sucks right now.

Hey guys, sounds like we are all having our ups and downs. I know I am trying to eat less, but the more I think about it, the more I want to eat. I am trying to eat a salad or a fruit if I want to snack, which is an improvement. At this point, I am just frustrated that I am working out everyday and not seeing the weight loss I am hoping for. I know it works like this sometimes, it is just frustrating. To top it off, I haven't had the internet at my house for over a week and I feel isolated!!! I haven't written down my food or exercise because I was so used to doing it on here.
Gota get back in gear and use a notebook until the net gets fixed.
Thanks for listening (reading me?!) complain... I feel better now :)

    GO BLUE TEAM!

Good Morning Blue team. I made a fattening breakfast this morning so now I have to make up for it. I made bacon and scrambled eggs and biscuits. I have a meeting today and not sure how long it will take but maybe afterwards I can get to the gym or something along that lines. I got a Wii fit a couple of days ago and I also ordered ChaLean Extreme. I cant wait for it to come in. I also ate some Goobers when I went to the movies on Friday night. BAD CONNIE lol. Well I will get back on track now. No use crying over spilled milk. '

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Tomorrow will be my first day back to the gym in a week. Bad weather last week kept me home for most of it.

Today is rest day-thank goodness. My legs are very sore. I promised my Mom I'd go see "Marley and Me" with her-k, so I'll have to eat popcorn....anyway, have a terrible headache and wish I could stay in bed. Oh well. What do you guys eat to stay within your calories on rest days? My body definetly needs a rest today....1.gif Have a good day and GO BLUE!

On my rest days I just try to eat as many veggies and salads aspossible when I am hungry so I don't over do it. Yesterday was my rest day (I still walked about a mile or two with my dog at the park) but I have a tough timenot eating during the time I am usually working out.

I am playing indoor soccer tonight, so I will be burning some calories for sure that way and since we dont'have any room to warm up at the indoor place,I may go to my gym first and ride the bike for awhile to get my muscles warm.Otherwise I am worthless for the first 5 minutes while I am warming up during the game!

I am looking forward to seeing some lower numbers on the scale...here's to eating healthy and getting a move on!

Saw Marley and me , cried and cried. In fact, even after the movie in the bathroom the tears kept falling! I had to wait to get out of the stall cause the bathroom was full and I felt like an idiot. Man, I left the theatre a mess! You have realize that I have a 6 yr. old yellow lab Jada, who is the bestfriend in the world and I have thought of that dreaded time in out lives....Anyway, the good news is, I didn't eat any popcorn! I brought an apple and water and had that! My poor Mom, sitting with me handing out kleenex, watching a movie about life and death. Ugghh. I've been in bed ever since with a SERIOUS headache. Let's hope for a good weigh in.

Oh goodness, I'm horrible with emotional movies!! I'd be sitting there like this , too!!

:drinker: Good morning Blue Team!! :drinker:

Time for our last chance workouts!! What's everyone's plan to shed those last couple of pounds?? I intend to increase my water and stay away from sodium!! That means no yummy pretzel rods for me!! I love those things!! I'll probably be doing my treadmill program for the next couple of days & add in my BL cardio DVD here & there! I'd like to achieve at least a 500 calorie burn each day!!

I'd love to hear what everyone else has planned!! :drinker: :drinker:

Good morning! What a tough weekend...I feel like I stuffed myself every day. I realized Friday that my scale was off so I've been eating more than I thought. We ate out SO much this weekend I went over my fat and calories 3 days in a row....not by much but it was still over....here's to a new successful week!!:drinker:

I will be doing the shred and the BL cardio to burn LOTS of calories. I stepped on the scale however this morning and its not looking good so hopefully with my hard work the next couple of days it will pay off. My personal goal the next couple of days is to workout while the kids are in school this will save me a lot of time at night and not get so lazy. We will see what happens. Maybe I will burn more. Good morning all and have a wonderful monday. :flowerforyou:

Sorry I've been MIA! I've just been so busy with planning and budgeting for this apartment and working on school....finals in 2 weeks!

Eating out a lot at Wendy's and such...too much soda...too many unhealthy snacks. I'm not looking forward to weigh-in this week. But I vow to get my butt back in gear. We're moving this weekend and I will have a workout room and the fridge will be stocked with nutritious food! :drinker:

Rach - I am with you! I am going to do great this week - even if we eat out - it doesn't mean I have to eat as much as I've been eating.

I loved Marley and me-cried like a baby!

    Hi Blues!

Doing ok here, but awaiting a snowstorm - though i am excited by the thought of wearing my HRM just to see how many calories I burn shoveling snow! (if we actually get any!)

I had an ok weekend - we went to a buffet yesterday. :grumble: But, I did ok - I didn't deprive myself, but I controlled my portions. I took my time, and even waited 20 minutes for dessert! (while everyone else ate their 3rd or 4th plate of food! :noway: And I think I was the only person to only eat 1 dessert!) Needless to say, I was the only one not miserable the rest of the day! I may have (probably!) gone over my calories (didn't track), however I am proud that I did so well!

Good for you Shar!! Buffets are so hard & then to have everyone around you filling their plates over & over again, can be very tempting!! Well done!! :drinker:

Okay... here's your weird: I went to a buffet yesterday, too, and I am also awaiting a snow storm!! :drinker:    I can't wait.

I did okay at the buffet, too. Had lots of green beans!! I did have two sugar cookies at the end with my coffee (I like to dip 'em), but they were teeny, so I think I'm okay. Anybody have any healthy alternatives to sugar cookies?!?!?! Pleaseeeee. :flowerforyou:

I didn't exercise on Saturday or Sunday, but I hit the stationary bike today for half an hour (my knee was bothering me). Burned 246 calories according to the awesome HRM!! Getting ready to head home and have dinner - a small salad with ff cheese, bacon bits, no dressing, and a veggie patch burger.

Hope you guys are doing alright!!!! Don't give up - life gets in the way sometimes, but you can do it!!

So I took today off from Work again to get caught up on homework. I am trying to get all of my hw for the entire week done in one day. I am about halfway done so far.
I am hoping to work ou tonight. My eatting has not been very good because of all of my stress.
But I am so proud of the weight that I have lost. My mom said tonight - wow there is my skinny Jackie again. I was like yes, mom noticed!!! My mom is usually the one that says wow you have gained weight so it is so nice to hear something nice.
So how is everyone else doing with their eatting and workouts? Is everyone ready for Weigh In?
