  • Ohhhh so sorry about the migranes. I get them too several times a year and they sure do suck. Last year I had to go to the hospital too.... even they could not help me get rid of it. Sent me home with some knock out pills.... about 4 days later it went away. omg it sucked.

have a terrific start of the week everyone. Im doing a personal challenge this week for myself... going to commit to crunches everyday this week.

Yeah it is MONDAY! 2 more days and we can get on the scale! I am about going nuts.....anyone else? And how do you think/feel you've done this past week? I am staying positive and hoping for a loss. I notice a little diff in my belly..not as bloated, and feeling more energetic. I want to congratulate everyone for making the time to exercise and taking the time to eat healthier and get on here and log all the details. You are doing something wonderful for your body, ultimately YOU! Good luck everyone and skinny vibes to the GREEN TEAM for Wednesday! YIPPPPPYYYYYY!
  • Hello fellow greenies. Sorry I didn't check in this weekend, it was a busy two days and I just realized I didn't pull out the laptop at all. Hope you had a great weekend.

Didn't work out on Saturday as it was my rest day, but did hit the gym hard yesterday. Also ate some popcorn at the movie theater, but didn't go crazy. Back on track again today.

Not getting on the scale is killing me too! I am ready for Wednesday to get here!

Hey all, happy Monday! Just checkin in after completing my 2008 performance review for work :grumble: I treat work much like how I beat myself up about my body, it's either all or nothin, can't seem to accept the good aspects and agree to work on the ones that need help. I guess acknowledgement is the first step!

velvetwing - hey, I saw your note about the mango.....yucky huh? I have officially sworn off mangos since we moved into this house about 8 years ago, the tree in the back is like the monster tree in Poltergeist -  It puts out sooo many that it's impossible to pick them up everyday and they eventually start to bring flies, they bust, the dog steps in it - even the smell.....so I can't give enough away. So ultimately, your brown inside story brings back what spring will bring, big busted mangos and hurricane season!

How are the rest of you doing today? I had a bigger breakfast than normal, so hoping I don't go over today, the good thing is that I worked right up until now and was not distracted with thoughts of food!

I'm with you on that! Mine was Friday and I saw loss, but have gained since then, hope I don't have to modify my ticker on Wednesday:sad:

    Good morning all...
I just got back from the gym! Cardio for 45 minutes. Bike, elliptical, and treadmill combo.
Had some cereal and few strips of bacon this morning. Going for a small snack now..trying to avoid those headaches.
Hopefully I have lost a little for Wednesday!! Have a great day everyone!

we cant grow the mangos here in Washington... just too cold ( 6 degrees right now ) but Im sure I wouldnt want a tree in my back yard though. We have a cherry tree and I can not keep my lab from bringing them in the house every day... I think its her favorite snack...weird dog.

When I first started going to the gym mixing up the cardio was the best advice I got. Definitely keeps you from getting bored, and when you break up 4 or 5 machines into 10 or 15 minute increments, the hour seems to fly by. I rotate between the treadmill, elliptical, summit, bike, and stepper. Some days I do just three machines, some days four, some days all five. I try to shoot for a total of 60 minutes and just mix up the length on each machine depending on how I'm feeling.

I have read some posts where folks say they prefer certain machines over others because they burn more calories. When you wear a HRM (I do and love mine) you know exaclty how much you burn. I find I can get my heart rate up just as much on a stationery bike on a higher level as I can running on the treadmill or using the elliptical. You just have to increase the intensity for more resistance.

I used to dread cardio because I used to be so bored by it, but I actually look forward to it now.

This made me smile as it reminded me of our childhood dog Sunshine. Back home in Hawaii we had a very abundant avocado tree and she absolutely loved them.

Good morning all, did well this weekend although it seems I went over last night....mainly no cal stuff, but a little on the carbs, was still under on carb consumption even though I was over on regular calories. I am feeling good. Noticing some changes in my body 1 week......alittle less bloated too! Still trying to figure out where I am gonna go to get my weigh in on Weds. I don't own a scale......hmmmm....I kinda do everything by inches as I am a muscular woman and likely to hang tough on the weight thing fat for muscle......

Alright, we have 2 days........everyone getted prepped for your final workout tomorrow and really kick butt and the gym...........

    GO GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom and I are working with a personal trainer. She bought me some sessions for my upcoming birthday! Great gift for someone.

He has me going 20 min. on elliptical. 1 to 12 intensity for 5 min. level 1 to 16 intensity for 5 min., level 20 at 12 intensity for 5 min., level 20 to 16 intensity
Then go to the treadmill for 15 min. every 3 min. raise incline: speed stays at 2.5. long strides
    starts at 0 incline for 3 min., 7 incline, 10, 12, 15
Then you go to the stat. bike for 10 minutes and just push random. My heart rate stays up the whole time!!! The bike is the worst!!

Everyone...do some sort of exercise today....dance with your kids, squats while you are watching tv, jump up and down............GO GREEN!!!!!

Lets all try to remember how many accomplishments every one of us has had this week. I think we have all done amazing whether there is a loss on the scale or not.
Some of us have been rockin' it a the gym, getting all that damn water down, counting calories, fightn' fires, not to mention the awesome support everyone has been giving everyone else which personally it makes a world of difference to me if I know I have people on my side.
Confession..... nobody in my life but all of you know Im trying to loose weight. You all keep me going!
WE HAVE THE BEST TEAM EVER !

Hi everyone! thanks for all of the encouraging posts and to all of you struggling- keep it up, we can do this!!! with that...if anyone is around, i need a little encouraging myself (so much easier to say it to other people then to actually do it) I have done REALLY well today and am slightly under my calories- i just had my last snack/meal of the day and feel like eating more, even tho i am not the least bit hungry- i have a problem with this at night and usually end up ruining my whole day. i am drinking water and chewing gum but if anyone has any helpful words, i would love to hear them. this has been a struggle point for me and i am trying to overcome it one night at a time! thanks ;)

kels, try brushing your teeth or using some mouth wash. That usually helps me when I want to eat mindlessly. The taste of toothpaste or mouth wash usually solves the problem. Good luck!

My favorite thing at night after supper, if I feel like I need a little something is the 40 calorie fudge bars. I happen to think they are fabulous and only 40 calories!! Another is a small baked apple with cinnamon, or I also like to take one of the low fat yoplait yogurts, chop some fruit like strawberris mix together and put in the freezer for a bit.... its delish and it takes a while to eat so it definately curbs that sugar tooth of mine!

Kels.....don't waste all your hard work today!! You can do it!! Go clean a closet out or clean something....that always helps me. Get rid of any bigger size clothes!!! Because you are not going to be wearing them anymore. Don't let food rule!!! Hope this helps. Lynette
