What is this steak you speak of? All I have had for the last 11 months has been turkey, chicken, fish, and shellfish...I forgot how I like my steak...Oh yeah, medium rare to medium...slightly bloody but definitely warm...MOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Sorry to disagree with everyone but mine has to be well done. Any blood and it goes back!

Me too. Although I usually get mine medium well. I like it just a little pink, but no red and NO BLOOD. ICK

"Just knock off its horns, wipe its nasty ole @ss, and chuck it right down on the plate" - Woody Harrelson in the Cowboy Way.

In my case... you can pass it over a charcoal grill a couple of times for flavor .

I like mine Rare to Medium Rare and without any sauce. A little Montreal Steak Spice seasoning would be good too....

Rare - Medium-Rare... and getting less and less cooked every time I order.

My mum used to ask the restaurant to "wave it close to a naked flame two or three times and then put it on the plate"

I was just asked this question! rare to medium rare for me thanks. No sauces as a rule, maybe a smidgen of butter if it looks a bit dry. Sometimes I'll make up a garlic/oil mix and marinate it for ten mins first. mmmm, yum

Medium well. Steak sauce depends on who made it. If I made it, yes, must have steak sauce because I suck at cooking steak. If a restaurant made it, I usually don't use sauce on it.

Rare. Almost blue. And steak tartare (virtually uncooked minced beef) is to die for!!
  • Medium and A1 is very necessary....! A STEAK NEEDS A1, DAMNIT.

Slap the horns off and throw it on a plate.

Enjoy my steak bloody. Savoring the "spirit" of the meat.

Rare, by the way that isn't blood in your steaks that is red. It's water and myoglobin. Which is harmless!
  • I like mine medium and if it's cooked right, it shouldn't need any steak sauce.

Hmm, now I think I'm gonna have to ask my g/f if we can go out for steaks this weekend.

Medium-well to well. A friend of mine likes hers waved over the grill and slapped on her plate. I tell her I think I still hear some mooing.

2 inches thick. Rare to medium rare. 7 minutes over the coals; turn; 7 minutes. Rest. Eat. Don't play with it; Don't prod it. Don't touch it. No matter what's going on.

If you want to play with your meat, grill pork or chicken.
