    ~ Kill Bill movies
    ~ The Matrix movies
    ~ Unforgiven
...and pretty much any movie with Will Ferrell.
  • I agree with a lot of these....Bridesmaids was boring...I had higher hopes.

I'll probably receive a lot of flack over this....I generally do...but
The Breakfast Club....could never make it past the dandruff/snow scene

Question for those of you who didn't like Harry Potter.

Did you not like the movies because you had read the books and didn't like all the side plots that had been taken out?
    or
Did you not like to movie because you hadn't read the books and wasn't really sure what was going on?
    or
Did you just not read the book or watch the movie and don't like it for other reasons?

If there is another reason please state I'm just curious of why people didn't like the movies. I'm a Harry Potter fan, but I like to get into discussion about the movies and what people did or didn't like about them.
I didn't read the books or see the movies, I'm not into the whole "witches and wizards" thing.

How can you not like a film if you've never seen it?

    StarWars.

i agree with all of yours completely! will ferrel is totally overrated. also....

    grand torino.

  • Insidious-- so stupid
    Let Me In-- so boring
    Comic Hero movies-- boring
All the Scream movies other than the 1st one-- so stupid
Date Movie, Epic Movie all those stupid parody movies-- the stupidist
Lord of The Rings-- only watched half of the 1st one and could not get into it
    Hostel 2-- just too gross
Transformers-- the 1st one was alright part 2 sucked, didn't even bother with part 3

the original parody movies were good, like airplane, naked gun, dont be a menace..., and the first 2 scary movies. i have to agree with all of the other parody movies

I read the first book and though it was terrible, I was reluctantly dragged to the cinema to see the first film and thought that was terrible also. But to be fair, by that point I'd made such a song and dance about how much I disliked the book it was going to be hard to admit it if I had liked the film; luckily the acting was so bad that the situation didn't arise. I've seen bits of the remaining films (my kids love them).

for the record I also didn't like

    Transformers
    Titanic
    Ghost
    Fatal Attraction
Any Bond movie that I've watched as an adult (although I remember liking them when I was kid)

Titanic... I actually stood up in the cinema and said "Thank Christ he died!" - Didn't go down very well AT ALL.

Titanic - 3hours wasted, getting a numb bum in the cinema - and I think I was the only person in there who laughed when Leonardo died!!

Anything with Tom Green in it - he is such an annoying d***, just can't stand him.

Napoleon Dynamite - yeah, its odd, but just not amusing to me.

Avatar - yep - what was the big deal with this?

Any of the Twilight, Harry Potter, Paranormal Activity films - Not seen any of them, got no interest in seeing them either.

AVP - No, No, No, No, NO!!! Predators are not friendly people who will help humans and for this reason, I didnt like it!!!

    Predators - 2 words - Adrien Brody!!!

I'm sure there's others, but can't think of them at the moment!

    Lost in Translation.

We saw it because it won all of these awards and it was stupid and pointless. I also don't enjoy movies that are sad just for the sake of being sad. Life is tough enough without crying about the troubles of some character on the screen.

+ 100. YES! I love Bill Murray and I was sooooo excited to see this movie...I couldn't get through the whole movie, it was horrible!

Sigh* where do I begin? On the top of my head:

    Scary movie

    Epic movie

    Avatar

    Dirty dancing

    Grease

    Lost in translation (so pointless)

Star wars (I tried to watch it a few times given that it was such a huge deal but I got annoyed after 20-30 min each time. I can't take it seriously in any way)
  • i didn't know so many people disliked avatar! i liked it, even though i felt like it was a "live" version of fern gully, haha

So surprised that so many people on here seem to have no taste in movies  how can you dislike LOTR or Star Wars? Or District 9? Or Anchorman?!

For me, I'll sit down and give most movies a go but there are a couple I switched off:
Solaris - I found it so, so mind numbing
Crash (NOT the Sandra Bullock one) - disturbing
    Date Movie - complete trash

I'm sure there are more but can't think of them at the moment

The Terminal with Tom Hanks..."In Krakosia, cart parks you!"

And I LOVE Tom Hanks, but he was insufferable in that movie...

There are probs many more, but all I can think of is the Twilight movies...I remember saying I hated them before they even started then, when I eventually got around to watching it at home, I couldn't get past the first half hour without feeling so uncomfortable (physically uncomfortable) and cringy that I started fidgeting in my seat and eventually had to change the channel to something I already have on DVD...

easily....I will never EVER watch or read Twilight, and I hate it....I hate it because of the way it exists, I hate it because of the way it handles the vampires, and I hate it for making heroines of stories whiny crying babies that have to be helped that have to be helped by 120 year old vampires crushing on high school girls.

    so my answer:

    Twilight
    Titanic
    Anything by Nicholas Sparks lol.

    Twilight
    Grease
    Dirty Dancing
    Footloose
The Godfather Trilogy (please. Dullsville. Goodfellas is far more interesting, plus it's based on a true story)
    Pretty much anything Tarantino.
