    Yea I get the "You have a pretty face" all the time and honestly I'm sick of it. Growing up I used to get the "If you walk around with your tummy sucked in your stomach wouldn't look so big" LOL but I tried not to let that get to me but of course when you're a child ya can't help but feel some type of way. But as long as we know we look good the way we ARE and the way we WILL BE, that is all that matters because society is very superficial.

    Keep ya head up ladies!!! WE ARE BEAUTIFUL ALWAYS!!! ;-)

    I can relate to this entirely.........YES WE ARE BEAUTIFUL IT IS WHAT'S INSIDE THAT COUNTS ANYWAYS.......GOD KNOWS OUR HEARTS AN HE LOVES US NO MATTER WAT AN WILL NEVER LEAVE US......WE HAVE TO REMEMBER WE ARE DOING THIS FOR US AN NOT TO PLEASE ANYONE ELSE...........GOD WILL TAKE CARE OF THOSE PEOPLE IN TIME......

    A skinny broad once said I COULD be more beautiful if I lost about 200 pounds. I said maybe so, but I can out run your skinny *kitten*. She accepted the challenge and 5 mins later she quit. No one has said anything to me since.

    Ha, ha! That reminds me of a German idiom I read about a few years ago. The word is Backpfeiffengesicht and it means something along the lines of "a face that begs to have a fist put in it".

    And as far as the SIL oh poop on her! My hunny also tells me that it doesn't matter and yay I'm glad it doesn't but I'M GONNA! He has been very supportive and has even started consulting me on what choices he should make with his food (reason #34654 that I love him)

    If you ask me the people who say these things, you'd be pretty if... etc... Are just plain ugly....

    It should be about goodness and kindness.... Has any of these people looked in the mirror.....

    I used to be with a bloke who's favourite saying was your a fat, ugly, *****... Simple as that.... Well guess what 20 years on he is still along coz he was a very ugly person and the fat ugly ***** is very much in love and very happy..... Haha karma :-)

    ^^ This. I get this all the time. I get "Your pretty for a black girl" or "You have a pretty complexion for a DARK skinned girl" <--- this one bothers me the most... I just don't understand. I get these two sayings the most all the time and even till this day I get something along those lines :/

    Sister in law is just jealous, so I say keep moving forward and stuff her!

    That was my first thought - and why should her opinion (in particular) matter? You can only do this FOR YOURSELF.

    If you feel you need to lose weight for health reasons then you should proceed. Check with your doctor first and think about. I love that your DH says he does not care because to me that shows he loves you without regard to size. My DH was always that way with me and that is one of the things (ONE) that I miss since he passed away. He loved me for me.

    As for SIL - well she may be jealous, maybe she really thinks you don't need to lose. I stand by my first two statements because those are the really important issues in your case.

    This is for you not for either of them. Other women will be jealous and you DH may be affriad of losing you. I had a boyfriend a few years ago tell his mom he didn't want me to lose weight because he was affraid I would change. He siad she is so beautiful already she will get so much attention it will go to her head. He later told me when I was struggling "Maybe God wanted you to be this way. Maybe thats why its so hard for you". To say the least that same man is now married to a barbie doll.
