Yep, a whole 6 pounds up from Halloween. I started exercising and back to eating right yesterday and recalculated everything.. Wish me luck....0

I lost 2 lbs the week of Christmas (my weigh in day is Sunday, which was xmas day) and another lb this week. But I have been sick since before xmas eve, so I have not been drinking what I would usually consume over Christmas and New Year! I haven't lost my appetite mind you, and I ate plenty of naughty stuff. However I logged every bite and I think that really helped me not to go too mad and eat everything not pinned down! :laugh:0

My goal was to maintain through the holidays, so I was disappointed to step on the scale this morning and be up 6 pounds.
Me too. I am back on track now though.0 -
I lost 12lbs in December, nearly 3lbs Christmas week. I just kept exercising as normal but had the will power of a saint! Didn't make for the merriest of Christmases tbh but I was so thrilled when I got on the scale yesterday morning  After last night, however, I think I have some making up to do :ohwell:0

LOST .2 lbs.over all. :blushing: I fluctuated .5 lb for the last four weeks, and by the end expected to be up a pound, but ended up down- below where I started! I drank wine like crazy all season and indulged in home made bread ( my weakness) so am very shocked. On Dec 30 I decided to kick off my resolutions to get back on track starting December 31. I wanted to wake up feeling good about myself to start the New Year. I behaved on New Year's Eve Day and had nothing to drink last night. I walked for an hour on the treadmill before dinner. I weighed in this AM and was realy surprised. It is clear that the weight training with my personal trainer 3x week has REALLY boosted my metabolism. I kept it up over the holidays. I feel fabulous. My best to you all for a successful New Year.0

My biggest problem wasn't Christmas its self but the two weeks leading up to it. All the parties which revolved around eating and socialising. I got weighed Christmas Day because I was at work and had put 3lbs on which I can live with considering all the outings I went on :ohwell: .
Today is a new start, but I cant get weighed until I return to work as they have the best scales so will do that on Tuesday. I have walked 5 miles for the past two days and will do the same tomorrow. Hopefully some of it will have gone already and then I can start over.
I think Christmas is the worse blip in a whole year. Good luck to everyone and welcome to those who joins us new for 2012.0 -
Gained 3 lbs. while on a car trip over Christmas. Better than expected since I lost complete control.0

Do you all log your weight gain or wait til it comes off and then log when you go down a pound.
I do0 -
I gained about 6-8lb over the xmas period :blushing:0

I am up 3 lbs. Normally its like 10 lbs so Im proud of myself for having a little more control this year. Time to get back on track and start the exercise and logging daily again!0
-
I gained four lbs. over Christmas Eve and Christmas. It took me about a week to get that off. In the meantime, I've lost another 5. So I'm not complaining. But it does feel like all that overeating at Christmas wasn't worth it. Some derailing is okay, but I could have been more moderate about it. Instead, I gobbled like I'd never see food again! Stupid, stupid. Next year, I'll try better. Or at least to stay within maintenance calories! And pinpoint what -one- thing I really want to have as a cheat for the holidays.0

Up 1.4 for the month.
Was down 3 the week before Christmas.0 -
I lost a couple of pounds over the holidays, I went a little overboard on the chocolate but I counted them all in my daily calories, so basically I cut back on eating other stuff. Not the healthiest way to do things but I didn't want to gain any back.0
-
I gained 3.5 lbs and as of this morning they are gone!0

There was one event where I was sick for three days following a massive blood draw (they took one PINT),
I am absolutely not making fun of your medical issues, but cannot not respond: "A pint? That's very nearly an armful!" It's sort of a requirement.0 -
Had a gain of 2 lbs total from thanksgiving to new years day.0

I was preparing to eat a lot of Christmas candy and either maintain or gain because I really love chocolate, but I guess that abstaining from most sweets for the last couple of months has made me crave it less. I think I'm used to not having it, and I'm habitually making better choices, so I'm not eating ten pieces of candy after every meal. I still LOVE candy and eat it sometimes, but it doesn't have the same pull on me as it used to...which I'm very happy about! I lost 5 lbs between Thanksgiving and Christmas, with no sign of delay-onset chubs. If you gained some...remember, you lost it before, and dangit you can lose it again! Drink lots of water and work hard, you can do it!0

I gained about 6 lbs between Christmas and New Years!!! Time to get back into action!!!0
-
I gained a big ol' 10lbs over the holidays. I'll have that gone by February, mark my words0
-
I put on 4 lbs over December and was shocked it wasn't more as I ate a lot and whatever I wanted, I did keep up the exercise throughout though. I won't log the gain, I will wait until I've lost more than the amount I lost before the gain - hoping I will be back to a net loss in a fortnights time.0
-
I'm not sure how much, I've been afraid to look, maybe 2-3lbs? Tomorrow I will get real with myself, get on the scale and log it in on here. I've gotten back on track rather quickly so I don't think it will be all that difficult to shed again. Not going to beat myself up over it either. My new jeans are still fitting fine, so all is good!!0
-
I felt like I ate so much over the holidays, but when I got on the scale I realized I hadn't gained any. I am so thankful!0
-
Me! I did! Like you, I lost about 10 lbs leading up to Christmas. Now, I am not sure what the real damage is. I need to get past the water weight and regulate my body again. I am guessing 2 or 3 lbs though. Sigh!
Just wanted to say your avatar made me giggle!
Being antisocial and unemployed for the holidays really helps with avoiding the temptations. Except for Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Eve (and one completely inexcusable Five Guys burger I got someone to bring me as takeout), I haven't been around any holiday goodies, otherwise I probably never would have a lost a single pound to begin with.0
