Not expecting to match Decembers 1014 miles, but let's see how it pans out:
Day 1: Club ride, 60.5 miles, 270 mins, 2279 cals burnt (HRM)
2012 goal is to break the 10,000 mile mark again.
OMG! That's awesome! I don't think I DROVE 10, 000 miles last year! Wow! You are a Rock Star!
I've been with this group since July 2011 and I've been able to ride the recumbant bike for 4.5 miles, 1 hour , level 1. Now, at the beginning of 2012, I can ride for 15 miles, 1 hour at level 7. I owe all of this to you Rick for setting these monthly challenges up. Thanks! I look forward to participating in this challenge monthly.
I'm adjusting my goal for 2012 to 1,000 miles because I want to walk/run a half marathon and I'm training for that as well.

I'm in for 100. I completed 14 on 1/1 1/2.
My fitness goal for 2012 is to do a real century ride this summer. Being in Ontario, I will be doing my rides indoor for the winter. My gym has a really great bike where one rides 4 different trails. In the last month, I did 102 miles so I think this is do-able.0 -

We have a few big rides planned for this year. One is a 3 day group ride of about 300 people in Normandy, France, over the D-day weekend which will be about 450km over the 3 days... we ride a lot in Germany and they are extremely bike friendly in Europe with bike paths everywhere... my husband and I are looking forward to a lot of pedaling in 2012 ♥0

Need some advice on "Saddle soreness".
I am a new rider and after two days of cycling my cheeks are pretty sore. Is this normal? Any advice/tips much appreciated.

Padded shorts, but stick with it and it will ease. failing that a massage ;-)0 -
