Mostly because I've started to feel glimmers of me feeling better about myself instead of hating myself. I got to 301lbs. I've already got my really high heart rate and blood pressure to normal and reversed my type 2 diabetes! (Yes its possible! Google_ low net calories)
Working out had changed me from a very anxious depressed person on a lot of meds into a much happier rounded person. I've come off 2 of 3 meds and have one left. (One at a time) I'm not numb anymore I feel highs and even lows. (Even enjoy the lows because I feel SOMETHING) I know the only way to maintain my psychological state or get it better is to exercise, and that's much harder overweight. I love to jog (recent discovery) and I get injuries I am guessing that are because I'm heavy. I need to be lighter so I can run much much more.
I get totally excited about the thought of being slim and healthy now. I got ill with liver tumors this year and have 3\4 of my liver removed, during all the stress and recovery I didn't gain 1lb. I've truly overcome my eating disorder. Being ill made me want to be healthy even more and enjoy life. I've been asked to do a weight management video for the NHS as I'm their big success story and its to get them funding for longer.
My MFP friends inspire me loads, one lady on here keeps me going every single day. I've formed a wonderful friendship. I'm joing the gym this week and plan to go to classes to meet like minded fitness friends. I'm finding my whole life is changing for the better and I like it.
Also I'd like my partner to be more attracted to me, note its mainly for ME. I'd like to remain a active step mum, not the lazy rubbish one I was! I want to be a active mum when I have one. You have to do this mainly for you though, and fight for your happiness coz nobody else can do it! My fitbit and HRM are very motivating. I get up at 5am to jog\walk\workout on work days, I so¤etimes struggle as I have fybromyalgia but it keeps me sane.
Good luck everyone. Still a long way to go but I WILL get there... I'm a determined little beggar! Lol. Anyone who thinks they can't do it, I was that girl I wanted surgery and I was refused. Best thing to ever happen to me. If I can do it you can. (Ps I've also overcome.a 5 year abusive relationship) I'm starting to realise I'm strong and I'm capeable of anything I set my mind to. Its not just about changing the body but also the way we think! X0
