Honestly he always seemed pretty obnoxious to me and I can understand how someone could be offended by some of the comments he makes... that said he's not really any worse than many, many others who've said far worse things than he has. So I think the ban is much more complicated then just one post, or a few off the cuff remarks.

That said, I'm not sure it's any of our business what he did or why he was suspended. We're just using Mike's fantastic website, we're guests in his home so what he says goes. Period.

well after recieving a warning from Mike I do know that youget a a warning about something and THEN he suspends you and if you do it again BAM another suspension... however Max must be on his Fifth suspension and I think I am fast aproaching my first... :ohwell: I think its inevidable...

and I like Dave too... he and I have much the same sence of humor, dry with a sarcastic quip!

now MAX on the other hand is a whole nother monster.. haha hes just plain FUNNY! :laugh: :drinker:

You know how he talks about his garage all the time? Well, I went to check it out and some really kinky things are going on in there. For every one's safety, I decided to bold the doors shut (with him inside).

omg, this is hilarious...oh dave, dave, dave, the things you say to offend our sensitive MFP-ers...

what i like about dave is he doesn't tell you something unless he researches it and researches it pretty well...he doesn't want to misinform people, and i think it's aggravating for him when he sees people asking the same question overandoverandover...

he's also purdy blunt, and has a tough love type of thing going on (esp with eating babies), and i think people need that around here. i'm more apt to reach a goal if someone thinks i can't or if someone pushes my buttons the wrong way. it seems that people in the USA are so used to being babied and expect people to be nice to them all of the time, they've started to expect it!

if you overeat on your calories, shut up, you did it to yourself, play your woe-is-me fiddle somewhere else....if a 300 pound person comes in here wondering if a 1200 calorie diet is a great way to start they need to be told to do a little more research first....

i'm tired of everyone being so flippin whiny, and it's not just people here, it's people everywhere...

and god bless manscaping...no body wants to visit the park if the the bushes are overgrown...:laugh:

Hi folks,

A few things to note here:

- I generally will not discuss what people did/did not do in order to get suspended, mainly because it is not appropriate to discuss private matters regarding members on the site. The suspension is bad enough without my publicly humiliating them by posting what they did.

- You can rest assured that as long as you do not break any of the forum rules, you run no risk of being suspended. I VERY rarely suspend people, and almost always will warn people at least once if not multiple times beforehand. To this point, I don't believe I've ever suspended a person without warning them first, although I do not promise that that will never happen. If someone was sufficiently rude or otherwise antagonistic, i.e. spewed racial remarks or made some other completely unacceptable post, I may suspend or ban them immediately without warning. But again, to date, this has never happened.

If you are not insulting or attacking people on the forums, posting sexual content, or otherwise violating the forum rules, you have nothing to worry about.

- Just because someone reports a post does not mean that I will either delete the post or suspend the poster. I receive MANY abuse reports a day, but I always review the abuse report first and use my own judgment to decide whether it is a rule violation or not. In many instances, I will ignore the report because I don't feel the post broke any rules.
