Haha, oh no! i'm sorry Caliecat!! well, wow...for the past two days i've been BAD! I was invited out for drinks after work and may have had a couple beers & a couple crustinis with hazelnut crusted blue cheese and apple on top! I'm feeling really guilty for the past couple days, but know that it's just life. I'm happy my boyfriend is out of town for the next week and a half so I can make it to the gym & have long workouts on the weekends! Yah!

I hope everyone had more successful days than I did! haha

I really like it I didn't know if I could find it here at our local store but they has pretty good selections. I got roasted red peppers. I had it for lunch with 5 wheat crackers, a salad, piece of fruit and a yogurt. Pretty good.
    OK what was for dinner?

    HI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG I cannot believe how much I missed you guys the last two days.

    @Caliecat IM GLAD U LIKE HUMMUS!!! ^_^

@barbiecat COOL! your on vacation and you are still doing wonderful! I want to take a class. I was thinking something involving pilates or dancing of some sort! my gym doesnt offer them though so I don''t know where to go..

@Mfpme :grumble: fineeee a pedometer picture is better then no picture right?! haha i agree. I would settle for that :flowerforyou:

    @shadowpaw. Good job! :drinker:

K me time.. ummm hold on... trying to remember what I was saying...

Yesterday was a good day. Drank my water, kept up with my calories. still no exorcise for this week though! T_T its really bumming me out. I need to find time to work out but I simply have none available...    . So I am at work today continuing to work on my papers. I managed to crank out the three small papers yesterday night, so that leaves me with only four more to go but two of those papers are over 20 pages. sigh. HEy! at least one is about my major though! How the Tourist Industry is the major causes of coral reef destruction. Sadly that is the paper I want to do most, and It is due last.. so I have to get the other three done first.

My Grandmother's surprise b-day party is today. and I am going to miss most of it because I am stuck at work.. which really bums me out. I hardly get to see my family from Ohio, so I was really looking forward to spending time with them.

Okay spent too much time here now.
    <3 you guys!

    Hey girlies!

Don't get upset about the ever fluxuating weight and the off days! We're going to have days where we're off, i have at least one a week! It will just give you motivation for tomorrow! It's not worth being down for the weekend! I know your guys can do it!!!

I'm so happy you like hummus Caliecat! I just finished off my container this morning  and i'm trying to avoid a grocery run until i go through all the extra food i have in my cupboards! I did have a bubble tea today, but i did walk to and from downtown, about 35-40 minutes plus my gym time, so i didn't feel bad about it. Plus they make these ones with real fruit.

Yes, where is our leader today!? haha, hopefully she's talking some time to enjoy the weekend!

I'm taking the rest of the night to make a good meal, make some art, and relax! Yah! I can't keep my eyes off my brand new racing bike! I can't wait til the snow is completely gone so I can try it out!!

Howdy to all of you---Calliecat, shadowpaws, artschoolgirl, mfpme, Its_B and all the rest:bigsmile:

The clean eating thread hasn't had much going lately----should we start our own "master list clean eating thread"?

We have just about survived our weekend out of town including "just say no to birthday cake" twice, skipping the ice cream social, and declining an invitation to go to Olive Garden and going to the gym instead and having a protein shake for dinner.

I had lunch today with a woman who just agreed to be a partner to her overweight daughter in a new positive eating style ---of course I told her about MFP and clean eating.

Later I had a long talk with a woman that I've seen bring her own food to events and found out that she's been abstinent in Overeaters Anonymous for 20 years.

Inspiration is everywhere when your eyes and ears are open.

time to drink more water and do some hotel room exercises (no jumping or jogging:laugh:

    Hi Shadowpaws

I've read so many times that a good healthy eating tip is to start your meals with a big salad. So maybe the place to start is to buy some fresh salad veggies and plan a big salad
I make salad with spinach, tomato, onion, radishes, bell peppers, and carrots. Figure out what you like and start your big meal with a salad. some people like fresh fruit in their salad but fruit is higher in sugar and calories so you have to take that into consideration.

I use the same size bowl for salad all the time. the first time I made my salad I weighed or measured everything and entered the items including salad dressing on MFP and saved the meal as "Barbie's salad" so I didn't have to enter all the ingredients every time. I don't know if Newman's Own spray dressing actually count as clean eating but they are the least caloric dressing around.

Before you make any changes to any other of your foods, begin by reading the labels and nutrition information on the packages of food you buy or search for them on MFP to see about the nutrition.

Just remember baby steps and one day at a time:bigsmile:

Oh, and drink a lot of water while you're doing all of this.

Hi y'all! Hope everyone had a great weekend. It went by so quickly for me. Friday I had friends over for dinner. I did a Morrocan/Middle Eastern dinner. Made Morracan chickpea stew (from the recipes section on the message board), baba ganoush and store bought hummus with warm pita bread. Too yummy! I love that I can have people over and show them we can eat delicious healthy food!! Although, I probably ran over my calories with a glass or two too many of wine. Saturday, my daughter had cheerleading camp and I spent the time she was doing that chasing my son around the playground. Then, today was gorgeous, so we took the kids out for the day. Stopped at Olive Garden for lunch and had the Venetian Apricot Chicken. Hubby and the kids all had alfredo, and I felt so good eating the healthy stuff!
I am really looking forward to the gym this week. I have 3 sessions scheduled with my trainer on top of my normal workouts.
    Typical weekly exercise is:
Monday- weights and 5K on the treadmill and/ or 30 min elliptical and a few rounds on the heavy bag. Can I just say, boxing is amazing!!
Tuesday- Zumba and 30 min elliptical
    Wednesday- Kickboxing class and weights
Thurs- Zumba and 30 min elliptical
Fri- either a dance class and weights, or running on tread and weights
Sat- Zumba and Centergy (a yoga/pilates class)
Yeah...after looking at this all typed out, I guess I am a bit of a gym rat! My secret motivation is I get 2 kid free hours everyday!
My mom is trying to get up here this week for a visit. I warned her to pack her gym clothes!
Anyway, sorry to go on for so long. Have a great night everyone.
