I havent totally given up, but definately limited my bread intake. If I have a burger, I'll eat it with only the bottom half of the bun and turf the top one. No more sandwiches.....Or i'll get a wrap instead.

I really do believe that moderation is the key, and exercise. But there is one thing that can easily make me go over. Mostly this is due to the super high calorie content. Brownies. Betty Crocker brownies. 1/20th of that pan is like 200 calories. And I use to stop myself at about 1/5 of the box. So I would basically eat about 1000 calories in just a few meaningless calories. I'm not ready to tackle that challenge yet.

I gave up a number of different foods as I believe they serve no purpose in the balanced diet which include Mexican food (as it is too easy to eat too much, and it is really calorie dense), potatos, chips, mcdonalds, most fast food (other than subway, which is the ****), I should give up chinese but it is just too good, so i try to go in moderation. Most sweets, and so far this year I have entirely given up ice cream as it was too much of a crutch.

Friday nite Fish Fry...there is a dive in town that has the BEST fish ever and it's only $7 a person...All you can eat of course.

Can't even go...it's not worth the calories in the tartar sauce and I come home feeling sick!

I had to give up most fast food. If I am really craving I will have a turkey burger from Carl's Jr. but the sodium is killer

any kind of milano cookies. I will quite literally eat the entire box in one sitting. Even the 100 calorie packs arent safe. If I have to have them, I just buy the smallest contianer available, pull out one serving and flush the rest down the toilet.

Snacky chip things like wheat thins - I will eat a whole box. Cupcakes...I will eat them all if I make them. I can't have any frozen dessert things in my freezer [those 90 calorie twix and snickers ice cream bars, last week it was choco tacos...amazing!].

Cadbury eggs. Oh lord...I noticed they were on the shelves the other day for easter already, I almost bought a bunch. I love them. I make cadbury egg brownies and I will eat ALL OF THEM.

Cheesecake...I stay far away from that, too.

I can eat these things if they're not in my house, and I have a limited time with them.

oh, gummie bears. I can finish a 5lb bag in two days.

For now I've given up Dairy Queen Blizzards and my giant Starbucks peppermint mocha latte I absolutely love! I don't think I'm giving them up forever but for now. I know one day I will be able to indulge in my favorite things in moderation. I just want to do the best I can to get this weight off. I've bought sherbert and drink a lot of hot tea these days!

God I know! I love Candy Corn and can eat it by the pound. As soon as Halloween is over I have to confiscate it from my kids and give it away or just throw it away.

Soda. I actually can't stand drinking it now, so that's good. lol. That's pretty much the only thing I can think of that I've cut completely out of my diet... but I can't remember the last time I ate anything made by Hostess or Little Debbie either. :P I don't eat those individually packaged cake things like hohos and ding dongs etc. anymore. I still love my cookies, and no one better even think about taking away my Twix PB bars!!! LOL

Fast food. Looking up the calories in meals I used to eat shocked me. I mean, it wasn't a surprise that they were high, but if that was ONE meal then my total calories for those days must have been astronomical.
I'll still occasionally make healthy choices at certain places, or make sure to stick to specific portions (like with pizza), but its a little easier to avoid it now knowing the numbers.

Did you know that the Small Skinny Pepperment Mocha Latte is only 100 calories?? It's my replacement for my other favorites and it truly tates really rich!!

Salt and vinegar chips. Or chips in general, as I found out when I bought the wrong flavor, on purpose, thinking that would slow me down. Nope. If the bag is open, even with good intentions of having a serve..or two...by the time I realise it, there is a measly handful left...may as well eat those too, eh? And they were on special too! 3 packets for 5$!! It was such a good saving monetary wise.

Tim Tams as well. Though it is easier to have two of those and stop there. Especially when I put the rest in the freezer and forget about them.

99% of things I think are fine in moderation. Mac and cheese, however, is my arch-nemesis now!
