To be honest I'm not even sure. For some of the restaurants in Japan I don't even want to see the English menu because I'm afraid if I know what it is I won't try it lol

  • This sounds a little weak, but tentacles.... They taste like nothing I ever tasted before. The texture just feels unnatural. Now I love Chinese and Japanese Restaurants, but pleeeeasssse! Keep the tentacles out of my sight. DX

    Vegemite... I hated it!

I should add, my husband is an Aussie and loves the stuff. Must be an acquired taste...

Alligator, shark, squid, buffalo, ostrich, moose, dog food, Cheeto covered in dirt, beef tongue. Weirder than all this was the slices of deep fried lemon that came with an order of calamari.

For the record, everything but the Cheeto and the dog food tasted great.

When I was in Scotland I figured I would HAVE to try Haggis...It was delicious...
  • seaweed wraps. My aunt is Koren and makes some interesting food. It's actually not as bad as it sounds if you like the 'fishy' taste.

I eat Korean seaweed as a snack. :drinker:

    Kimchi.
    Bee bread.

Frog legs, rabbit, and squirrel are quite normal here in the boondocks.
So is any part of a cow or pig.

Most of the time I am not to adventurous. However growing up in the country we use to capture snapping turtles and make stew. I also enjoy calamari and escargot.
  • Kangaroo. For real. It's like the best, leanest steak you have ever had!

Definitely agree! Kangaroo was surprisingly delicious.

I've eaten snake, and pigeon.....pigeon surprisingly doesn't take like chicken, tastes like ground beef and snake tastes like nothing but has the texture of rubber. Oh and deep fried scorpion recently when I was drunk;)

    Goat testicals.

    Really squishy.

They literally explode in your mouth when you finally manage to bite into them.

Next trip overseas, I'm sticking to snake, beetles and rice.
