    4.4 miles today sight seeing in our own town we went to the arch and zoo :) miles this month 15 if no rain in the am I'm going to wake up and go before work :)

    In 2010, when the largest share of my weight came off (from 232 to 195), I did it by walking. I joined a challenge team at work. My commitment was 1,000,000 steps in 60 days (avg 16,667 steps per day as counted by a pedometer).

    I met that goal and gradually pushed it up. My current daily goal is 22,000 per day with at least 11,000 classified as 'aerobic" by my pedometer (thinking about going to a fitbit).

    Today has been a really good day since it was so pretty outside..

    30 minutes on the treadmill (3500 steps) this morning before catching the bus to work
    A 30 minute walk at lunch at about a 4 mph pace
    A 22 minute walk with my walking group (4mph pace tracked by GPS on the phone through MapMy Fitness program).
    An 1 hr 3 minute walk through the neighborhood (over 4.2 miles) in Chapel Hill (see MapMyFitness under "hike" in Chapel Hill for today's route under Strooper

    My current step count is 28,337 for today w/ 19,751 steps classified as aerobic.

    At 58 years old, if I can do it anyone can. But then again it took me a couple of years to get to this point.

    Can I still play? I have been walking and hiking for the past two weeks.... I need to start updating on here because I am pissing my fb friends off lol

    Thanks for posting this....I do Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home program. Today I did 2 miles...yesterday I did one mile....I do it in conjunction with the Kettleworx workout.
