64 miles so far from commuting and a 10 TT at weekend will add big miles this week/weekend
159 miles done so far and I have got a long one planned for the weekend so on target
Back on track after a little mishap with the shed keys 400m miles so far and a Nice ride planned for Wednesday.
Have hit Target 615 miles now so I just hope I can get to 700 now by Sunday0 -

Hey everyone, I am training for a 270 mile (3 day) bike Trek this summer. I am curious to how you calculate your indoor ride/cycling/spinning miles? Thanks!
From what I've read most people use a hr monitor and compare it to there outside rides to get a good ball park. I've done this a few times and found that I'm anywhere from 16 to 20 mph, so I just say 20 if it was a killer class and 15 -16 if it was not quite there. Good luck.0 -

OK - so now I have looked back at my earlier posts & was at 98.4 miles after last Saturday, so now 128.4 miles & it's only the 22nd of the month. Out on road bike again this Saturday and again Tuesday night to come so hopefully will make the 150 miles I was aiming for.
33 miles on road bike on Saturday - boy was I tired after that! but there was no walk of shame up any hills & we have HILLS here - and another 10 miles tonight - but there was a walk of shame - but it was up a hill with a 14% gradient - i am determined to get up it without walking by the end of the summer. Anyway total miles so far -- 128.4 + 43 = 171.4 - so I have made my 150 mile target & still have one more Saturday ride to do before the end of the month - I am very pleased to have made my target!!:bigsmile:0 -

Was at 171.4 (every little bit helps) & did a whole five miles tonight, but it was all hill reps & trying to push in a big gear up the hills & if not doing that then standing in the pedals which I find really hard. However, now at 176.4 miles & will be out on Saturday morning which is still MARCH so it will count!!
Only 22 miles this morning - much colder than it has been for a couple of weeks & some of the group were not feeling too well, but I have done a total of 198.4 miles - can I count that as two centuries? If so, I am really pleased. I don't find cycling all that easy, I have very week legs and we have some serious hills around here - if you don't go up them at the beginning of a ride, you have to go up them at the end!! There is no escape other than putting the bike in the car & driving somewhere a bit flatter to ride, but then you (I) will never develop any strength in my legs so I just have to put up with it I guess.0 -

I haven't been tracking miles. I will though. I ride 40min. to 90min. 5 days a week...I am guessing 10 to 15 miles a ride. So that would be at least 200 miles a month in February and March and probably 50-100 in January. I really need to learn to use this site better...a lot of my friends are runners.0
