violence against men?

i would still like to seem some stats. and shame on you for admitting to your groping habit! consider yourself slapped. :noway:
LOL I should probably amend that to the following:
I've never groped a person I do not know, well not deliberately anyway! (see below). I posted that and then realised someone would see it that way
Weirdest time actually when I was out a bird grab my arm and groped it and then grabbed my hand and shoved it up her top. I was mortified and didn't know what to do :noway: :laugh:0 -
You are a woman thug if you think a woman should be able to hit a man as often as she likes because she doesn't think she can hurt him. This is the outmoded view I find absolutely abhorrent. Being hit, slapped or punched hurts regardless of sex - and in my experience with the fairer sex it often involves using implements.
Where did I say that women are entitled to hit men? I'm talking specifically about retaliation, and about the specific example another user asked me about. Nowhere did I say that women should have a free right to beat on men. You read into that yourself because of your misconceptions about women.
If I slap my boyfriend and he slaps me back, we're both *kitten*.
There certainly are some women out there who beat men, and that's not okay. But it's also not an entitlement for the man to hit her just as many times.0 -
Are you justified to hit her just as hard or just as many times as she hit you? Are you entitled? I don't think so. But I do hope you do enough to reasonably defend yourself, even if you are a man and she is a woman.

Furthermore, you don't actually realise that this isn't just physical, it is mental too. On top of this, you see, many women realise they have the law on their side and will tell this to you as they hit you and they'll tell you this and they tell you how they'll report you for attacking them. This is especially bad when you have a child involved and the father doesn't want to leave the child and stays for the child. How do I know this? My ex did this several times.
Even without the above, there should not be ANY reason a man nor woman strikes another and if they do, they should expect the full extent of the law to be carried down upon them. Either way.
I think she was saying it's reasonable to defend yourself, but that a slap doesn't warrant a pummeling, and that it holds for both genders. Her other posts say similar.
Your past situation was horrible man, I was the child in a similar one with my father's second wife. I'm really sorry for what you went through.0 -
Dude! I wouldn't kick you in the head.... I'd punch you in the throat! lol
i can't kick you if you're that close to me anyway - I'm 6'1 fpr good's sake! I'm bendy, but not that bendy!
PS - truth? I prefer to straightup box - I like striking! But this is a better full body conditioning for me... and a lot of fun to train in!
The nice thing about my build is that I have basically no neck, especially if I'm fighting, so good luck with that. I train with a lot of TKD folks and it's obscene how high they can kick even if you're in close. I can stand and throw with the best of them, but I'm not a kicker, I like elbows much better. Coincidentally I'm probably not a kicker because it's too tiring and I'm laziermen are such babies now a days. if a woman slaps a man across the face, they're usually out of line and if they hit that woman back, they're a poor excuse for a man in my opinion
...
yes, it sure is....for example, if a man grabbed you in a club while making a disgusting comment....he's getting a smack across the face and if a hit came flying back, well that's just gross.
What I really want to say isn't very nice so I'll stop because I'm a huge baby and couldn't handle a slap in the face from you.0 -
There is no misconceptions. I was beaten by my ex. Its part of the reason I began properly body building. To give an outward appearance of strength because she'd made me weak inside.
In terms of retaliation, I have only ever held wrists despite how I've been attacked, my supposed morals stopped me from hitting back... but the reality is WHY is she hitting me in the first place? WHY should she think it is OK? It's misguided morals that a woman cannot hurt a man.
My scars on my arms show a woman can defo hurt a man.0 -

bizarre. i think the entire population could use a healthy dose of manners - i think that would save everyone all kinds of trouble!0 -

I'm really sorry to hear about your situation, and your ex does not sound like someone whose actions I would defend. There are definitely some women out there who do some messed up things. I'd never deny that. But it's still true, this doesn't need to be a men vs. women thing. There are unreasonable people of both genders who do a lot of damage. Sometimes they realize what they're doing, and sometimes they don't.
The "misconception" I was referring to was your assumption that I was siding with all women everywhere and advocating for their actions, when I was not. You assumed I was excusing her behavior. I never did that.0 -
In that case, my bad - sorry.0

All of your posts have been utter crap.
The crux of the matter is, if a woman thinks she's big and hard enough to hit a man, she's big and hard enough to take a hit back. If a woman's go to move is a slap, and a man's is the punch, then that'd be her problem.
However, I think you all seem to have this image of 6ft5 beast of a man hitting on a 5ft2 skinny woman. The average height for men in the UK is 5ft9. Which means there will be a lot of smaller guys, and a lot of bigger girls.
As I said previously, male or female, you strike me, I'll hit you back. With a woman, I'd have more restraint and it would probably take a lot more to cause me to react.
And just to add, when I say the above, I'm not necessarily thinking of 'normal life', but rather, at throwing out time on a Friday and Saturday night, when people come falling out of clubs and bars, and everyone gets a little too mouthy.0 -

You really don't know what I'm thinking.
I think it's bull**** when people try matching each other blow for blow, regardless of gender. It's not about self defense at that point; it's about stuffing your ego, which is just dumb. Whether a man or a woman hits you, if you try to hit them back just as hard and just as many times (...or harder!...) I think you're an egotistical *kitten*.
And thanks for the personal insult. I appreciate it.0 -

I suspect if you hit a woman (even in retaliation) in this situation, you'd be in for a pile of men attacking you/defending her...at least, that's what I would hope for.
...and you could be for hitting a man in this situation, too.0 -
You guys know what's awesome? Peanut butter.
It's just so...peanut butter!0 -

Hi Folks,
I'm gonna put the brakes on this one. I hope everyone has had a chance to have his or her say.
Many posts are coming close to, or downright violating, the following site posting guideline:4. Show Respect to All Groups and Individuals
No derogatory references to sex, gender, ethnicity, religions, or sexual orientation, or endorsement of violence against any person or group, even if couched in humor, will be permitted. This includes expressing stereotypes about any group or community.
No offense intended to any participants, but there's too much endorsement of violence mixed in with the debate for me to weed it out in a reasonable expenditure of time.
Have a great (peaceful) weekend,
Steven
