Absorption of fat molecules into fat cells...anyone know?

I will be going for i-Lipo sessions shortly, and the Spa I am using does the standard 20mins followed by 10min power plate.

My question is, how long does it take for fat molecules, once in the blood stream, to go 'Hey, no one is using us as energy, so lets settle down!' and situate themselves in the fat cells/corpuscles/whatever?

Some spas say 30mins minimum exercise after the session, but they usually mean treadmill/bike/elliptical. Does this mean the power plate is better so you only need 10 mins to be able to use the fat that has been reintroduced into your blood stream? And how long do I have to get to the gym to really blast that fat after the plate session so they don't re-settle?

    Hiya,

I am on my 2nd session of i-lipo treatment (having my third tomorrow). I got different information.... my treatment is 30 mins (and I have already seen cm loss!!), they say excercise for a minimum of 30 minutes, but aim to hit the 300 calorie mark.... also as long as I did it 6 hours after would be fine!

I have also purchased another one (ultra sound weight loss), which i will be doing in the next few weeks. I will see what they say about excercising post treatment!!

    :0)

What you're saying is not how fat works at all. ....which is why I posted the link to the article. You're misguided. And you're wasting your money. Have fun!

My guess is to exercise as long as it takes to burn up the fatty acids that are free to be utilized for energy. Otherwise they will be restored into fat cells.

I spoke with my dietician about it and I let him know the procedure... he informed me that in theory it does work and the fact that they use a technique to drain the inguinal lymph nodes... in theory, makes sense. Theory into practice - I am living proof that the process does work, as I have seen loss in cm's after two sessions.

I don't feel I have wasted my money... I must have lost those cm's riding on the back of that unicorn then maybe!?

P.s I did have fun thanks!

From the i-Lipo website: I-Lipo is best paired with with a change in lifestyle to maintain your results, typically just simple diet and exercise

    1) Any professional website with a typo is automatically suspicious.
    2) Going out on a limb, but maybe it's actually the diet and exercise that causes the loss....

You're really not making a good case for i-Lipo...at all. It's your money to do what you want with. It's your body. Just wanted the OP (and anyone else being lied to by that company) know that fat does not do what they claim it does.

Look I think many of us here are being quite rude and inappropriate. The boards are meant to encourage others, not put them down. It is up to each person to decide how they want to lose weight, and while we may not agree with it, there's not point in being so degrading to fellow members.

That being said, I do not have any knowledge on the i-Lipo procedures, but I do know that it said worldwide by professionals that simple diet and exercise, along with a large dose of discipline and determination, is really your best route. Fat accumulates unless you burn it off, and removing through other methods is only temporary. The healthiest way to do so is through proper diet and exercise.

I go down 2 inches after an hours running... waste of money, and if you can't be prepared to lose the weight steadily and properly, it'll never stay off. Half the battle of dieting properly is just that "dieting". Dieting shouldn't just mean weight loss. It should include weight gain and maintenance as it's name implies it is about diet.

thank you... agreed! I do both healthy proper diet and exercise and it was a friend who recommended it, as it worked for her! I just dipped my toe in with some taster sessions, just to try it out... why not!? I like to know that I have tried different things 'safe', so i can recommend to others... i like having an opinion on something I have tried, rather than make up my opinions based on assumptions... call me a scientist if you will! I'm just someone who likes having informed opinions and who doesn; enjoy being ignorant to new things!

I will enjoy my non-pricey placebo with great joy, while riding that unicorn with a smaller size trousers on!!

Thanks for all the support... it really is encouraging... !!

I didn't put anyone down! The people using this product may not know the science behind how weight loss works and are being swindled by this i-Lipo business. I like to do my informing with a hefty dose of humor.

laughable how you assume that i'm not 'prepared' to loose the weight 'steadily and 'properly'.... and i'm not dieting... but again assume away!

Again guys, i support on here is impeccable... real award winning stuff!
