Irritating NSV....What's Yours?

How long does it take from beginning a diet to start seeing these sort of things happening?
It depends on how tall you are, how much you have to lose, how fit/muscular you are, and whole bunches of other things (incl. how well-tailored your clothes are).
Checked your profile - you've lost 22 lbs (whoo hoo! congrats :flowerforyou: )
I'd expect you to be seeing looser waistbands, bra straps needing re-cinching, slacks falling longer over the foot, etc., any time now. Loose rings or shoes takes a good deal longer/may not happen at at all, because hands & feet are not where we carry most of our fat.
As for the recliner thing - that depends a lot on the exact design of your chair (and the cooperativeness of your cat ).0 -
Oh! And having my engagement ring sized down 4 sizes was costly, not long had it done and I need another down. >:(0

My biggest NSV has been when I told my trainer that I never wanted to see the wussy 5lb weights again. He worried for a week that I was going to hurt myself. Now he's actually pushing me to the "fail" point weight-wise. He even told me that I may be heavy, but I am strong and healthy! As soon as I get all this nasty fat off I am going to be one physically fit human being!
The scale may not be moving as fast, but the inches are flying! I was able to buy a pair of blue jeans in wallyworld two weeks ago, and now they are falling off my butt! Plus I can actually see muscles in my forearms!0 -
I think I had my first NSV yesterday evening.
I can take my ACU pants off without having to undo the top button....and I have to wrap the excess web belt twice to keep it from hanging down and showing.
This MFP thing is working.0 -
i can finally see in my body that im losing - i can look in the mirror and tell that im smaller.
but im much more jiggly than i used to be >.>0 -
My pants falling down when we do bunny hops at bootcamp... tonight I had to grab the resistance cords and tie them around my waist... new pants tomorrow!0
-
Going down a pant size, thinking they will finally fit my waist and then realizing I should have bought another size down.....0
-
That I almost need to buy new bras. (When you are a 36H it is an expensive proposition)
(contemplating just buying a really, really wide Ace bandage) (no, not really )0 -
I have a paper route and quite often ( when the paper is on the smaller side) I will hand bomb the papers. They are heavy regardless. I run my route and only have 1 free hand as the other one holds a stack of papers. My yoga pants always fall down! I only have 1 available hand to constantly pull them up and to make sure nothings hanging out. Irritating? Yes!0

My NSV is FINALLY being able to do a yoga shoulder stand w/o my tummy getting in the way!0

My bras dont fit, my pants dont fit, shirts dont fit and even my underwear doesnt fit!! Most people I tell this to tell me they would love to have my problems lol0
-
My HRM won't stay in place around my rib cage, I keep having to readjust it when I am running. Also, working harder to burn more calories.0

Cold cold cold.. all the time !!0

Cold cold cold.. all the time !!
^^^THIS annnndddd..The uneven weight loss in my thighs I have hills and valleys on my thighs! Just gross0 -
Lots of good ones here. I no longer displace enough water in my jacuzzi bathtub to turn the jets on -water blows everywhere! I have to wait for the hot water heater to warm up another 40 gallons to fill more hot water!0

Most annoying nsv is my engagement ring is 6 sizes too big. Took it to be resized and they told me it wasn't possible. Only a max of 3 sizes can be done. Ill never be able to wear it! There's no point getting another (and can't afford it) because I have 70lbs more to loose so I haven't got one to wear right now. :-( all you girls struggling for clothes, I've sold my plus size clothes on ebay and made enough money to buy more! Try it x0
-
Most annoying nsv would have to be...saving up for my very first pair of skinny jeans, buying them, wearing them once then two weeks later discovering they are too big for me  or is that :happy:0
-
Cold cold cold.. all the time !!
...oh this too, I thought it was just me!0 -
Putting something on my lap and it falling through my thigh gap lol .. amazing but irritating!0
-
as my jeans are getting smaller so are the pockets...and now my phone wont fit in them.0
-
Going out for a run and having someone call 'Thanks for the view" as I went past. lol
Wow wouldn't that feel great... and slightly awkward :flowerforyou:0 -
Mine is that I was in a 13 ( Old Navy jeans) - now I am in a 10 but I have about 15 pairs of jeans that are 7's (before baby) ... I'm so happy to be out of the 13's but I only have 1 pair of 10s and waiting for the 7's i'm stuck in-between!0
-
Dirty diaper-looking, saggy-butt pants!!!
THIS
and having to get new uniforms all the time - since I have to pay for them and there is no way I can function in clothes that are 5-6 sizes too big0 -
I can't sit in one place for too long when I'm studying because my *kitten* starts to hurt.
It's comforting to know I'm not the only one. The good thing is that my posture is better because sitting my old-normal way hurts so much.0 -
Mine would be the unpredictable sizing at "normal size" stores. This is already foreign territory for me and it drives me nuts when I go from feeling on top of the world at one store because the XL fits (and might be a little loose) to wanting to break down in tears because the XL at another store makes me look like I'm trying to squeeze my chubby butt into a small. It made me feel so good to finally not be restricted to 1 or 2 stores at the mall but it's so frustrating when sizing is so inconsistent.0
-
slipping out of my shoes because my feet got thinner!0
-
Finally being able to complete 100 push-ups (in multiple sets of course) with some sort of decent form.0
-
my running pants are too loose now so I spend half my run tugging up my pants
:grumble:
Same here! One day I threw on a pair of workout pants that I had not worn in about a year. I had to stop jogging because I could not keep them up! That is the best reason I can think of to give up on a workout!0
