Woohooo, way to go, Rach!!!! I never did that well in any of my Accounting classes! That would be why I changed my major... *ahem* ONE pass for TOM is fine by me. I wish I could say that's what's behind my weight gain this week but that's already come and gone. Not sure what's going on other than not feeling well and my body hating me.

For the first time in a very long time, I forgot to eat dinner and realized it around 10:30pm! Oooopsss! I just keep telling myself that I can make it and once this class is over, I'll be DONE with school FOREVER!

So I got in all 8 cups of water today. It wasn't easy but I did it.:drinker:

I looked up online today that 64 ounces of water weighs about 4 lbs. No wonder the scale is up the mornings after I drink so much water. Does anyone else have this problem?

Hope everyone had a healthy day!!

I've been waking up feeling like the stay puff marshmallow lately but I haven't changed how much water I was drinking. It seems like after I have my first glass of water, it all comes on out. But yes, it is usually 2-3 pounds heavier when I first wake up!

I have drank about 48 oz of water today :drinker: I walked about a mile and then this evening went and played with my kids at the baseball dimond. Well in that process threw my back out. Damn. :grumble: That will take care of my running for the night. I'm so pissed. I will go see the chircoprator tomorrow and hopefully he can help me.

Chrissy- I haven't been following the 5k couch. I should be but haven't been.

I think I got close to 16 cups of water yesterday...lost track. Did ok with eating, didn't go over! I only ran one mile because I only had 10 minutes of time to exercise but at least I did something! My weight was back down this morning so that was encouraging. But I am going out of town today-last Saturday night, and then with Sunday being Mother's Day...I am going to try my hardest to be good! I want to lose a pound this week!

To those who wake up heavier in the morning because of water gain...I personally hate waking up in the middle of the night to have to use the bathroom, so I only drink small sips if I am thirsty after 6 pm, but won't drink anything major after dinner. That might help you to get rid of all the extra water so you don't wake up feeling like you weigh a few pounds extra.

Sorry I was MIA last couple days. I was really sick. But I feel much better now and can say I did get all my water in, so that's something. I sure missed a lot in 2 days. Wow.

    Wow great job everyone!!!

I made myself breakfast this morning!!! Eggs and bacon! I know it doesn't sound like much but normally I'm too lazy to even make oatmeal, and I end up skipping it or having a peanut butter sandwich. It felt sooo good to have some 'real' food first thing in the morning! :drinker:

Man my attitude has done a complete 180 since yesterday morning.

Weigh in today? I am down 1 to 249 from 250. I guess a lb a week is what I'm aiming for, so...there it is. I'll work harder next week.

I've got 2 cups of water down so far! :drinker:

So what are your plans for staying on track this weekend? Doing anything fun?

I think I'm going to keep busy, to keep from mindless munching. Tonight I plan on cleaning my house after doing a 90min yoga. There are so many dirty dishes, my bf is drinking milk out of tupperware! :noway:  Then Saturday morning I'll do Legs and Back, and then I'm going to get groceries and work on some homemade edible arrangements for my mom and my bf's mom. I'll probably make this laundry day too. Sunday will be visiting the moms and maybe walking at the river, along with an hour of Kenpo.

That reminds me! Do you guys know of any way to keep cut fruits from turning brown (oxidizing I think it is). I don't want to completely cover the fruits in dark chocolate, I wanted to drizzle them or do cute patterns but I don't want the apples and stuff to turn brown. I think I heard once, a long time ago that you can rub lemon juice on them to prevent it. Anyone know? :flowerforyou:

I am going to one of the parks near our house tomorrow, it has a 6 mile trail. We are plannig on doing some rollerblading and walking.

In regards to the fruit - yes lemon juice works there is also something you can pick up at the grocery store. You mix it with water and put the apple slices in for a little while and it will prevent them from turning brown. Sorry I can't remember the name of it.

Lemon Juice is the secret. I do it for my daughters lunch. I just squirt a little on a plate then drop the apples in the juice and cover the whole apple. Just don't drown it, i put a little on the plate at a time. The apple will suck up the juice so moderation is key.

Make sure to get your water in today everyone, I am at 24 oz so far. Since joining the blue group i have upped my water from 10 glasses a day to 15 glasses and now i crave it. Can't believe i never used to drink it.

Lemon juice does work - or you could be lazy and buy the precut bagged apples that are already treated to avoid turning brown - they taste good...

I drank 9 glasses of water yesterday - most in a LONG time - YAY!!!

No plans for the weekend - we finally have a sport free weekend so it's house work - what fun! Maybe we'll cookout with friends tomorrow....sounds like a good idea.

Today will be day 3 of week 1 on couch to 5k for me....I will rest either Sat or Sun

Keep working hard ladies and gents! Have a great weekend!

I am trying to get up the motivation to get in on the neighborhood garage sale. I have some stuff set aside and alot more to go through. I work best under pressure though. It will be a busy weekend, one child has a softball game, another has to go for lab work and xrays. then the boys will probably be roaming the neighbor hood on thier bikes bringing home other peoples junk form the yard sale. ughh. Plan on getting through all of 30 day shread. I am up to half way there. And that was on a full stomach after dinner last night. I need to get a new scale too. Mine has been on its last legs for a while and it is finally decided it was dead. I need to get one before wed huh?

Starting todays water now. I have to get in my coffee first. Interesting to know about what the water we consume weighs. And another reason why my loss seems bigger at home then at weigh in at curves.

    Hello beautiful blues!! :flowerforyou:

I just read EVERYTHING. :noway:  I love it!!!! I'm glad to see everybody is doing so well and drinking their water!! I got in about 12 glasses yesterday and I'm starting on my 5th one of the day today!

Just found out yesterday that I'm going to the beach on June 19th with my boyfriend and another couple. I'm a little scared. I hate being seen in my bathing suit... and the other girl that's going with us is a size 1. For once, I'd like to ENJOY the beach instead of dread it. :ohwell: I'm worried about my legs... they're nowhere near what I'd like them to look like... :indifferent: *stressin'!*

I went to the mall with a friend last night. He had surgery a few days ago, has been stuck at home and wanted to get out. We stopped in the food court and got Chinese. I did good, though... I think. I got rice, mixed veggies and general tso's chicken. I didn't eat much of the rice and that was the biggest portion of the plate... so I really didn't eat THAT much at all. The only thing is, it was really high in sodium.

    Hey Blues!

TGIF...last week I posted on the message boards about eating a pizza...it has taken almost the whole week to work it off.

I have this pattern..when I begin to get close to a goal and feel successful, I blow it. Now I know its' all in my head, so this weekend, I am not blowing it.

I am closer to my goal than ever and I will not sabotage myself!!

    Have a great weekend!

christy559 - I struggle with the same thing. I think for me, it boils down to whether I feel that I'm worth it or not. I know that I AM, but after beating ourselves down for so long, sometimes it's hard to stand up tall and say I deserve to be happy and healthy. You absolutely deserve this change! :flowerforyou:

leigh - I know how the beach thing feels! Last time I went I was 13 or 14 and dreaded every minute of it. I was a KID and all I was worried about was how 'fat' I was. I don't even own a pair of shorts, and don't think my legs have seen the light of day for many years! I swear they're so white I glow in the dark!!

becbec - I'd LOVE to have a garage sale, but I've never lived anywhere that did organized ones. I asked for a scale for Christmas one year, and my bf's mom gave him the most shocked look ever when I opened the one he got me. Like "you seriously bought your GIRLFRIEND a SCALE!?!?". We had to explain that it was my idea.

chrissy - Thanks for the precut idea...I am pretty lazy...

shannahrose - Oooh date night sounds like fun! I LOVE the old Veronica Mars show so my bf and I get it from netflix, and have one night a week that we watch a couple episodes. We're almost done the last season, so we're gonna have to find something else. Probably Arrested Development. I could watch that over and over!

Boy am I chatty today! Slow day at work. I just noticed that my office smells like new shoes......and now I want new shoes. Maybe that'll be my reward when I hit 190.

lcorrel... buy a really cute sarong to hide your hips/legs. That's what I do and it works great hehe.

bec... I just had a yard sale a couple weeks ago and made over $250! So it's worth it to dig and find things. Most of what sold really well was the kids' old toys, kids' clothes, and big items like the Rockband we never play anymore, dog igloo, fire pit. good luck!

I felt better yesterday but didn't want to push my luck, so had a pretty lazy day, but as I said, I have been drinking my water! Today, I'm ready to attempt exercise and see if I can make it without getting myself sick again. wish me luck haha.

Good morning everyone. Was to busy to come on yesterday but it was way funny. I was lieing in bed last night thinking about everything I had to do today and I jumped out of bed and ran downstairs and drank my last two cups of water. My husband was like what is your problem and I said I almost forgot I had two more cups to drink.

I have 3 in as of right now. I was really unable to get in a good workout yesterday but I am going to kick butt tonight no excusses.

If I can't get back on today I want everyone to have a blessed weekend and Happy Mommy's Day

I don't own shorts, either! I wore capri-like pants last year while I was pregnant because it was HOT! and I didn't really care if anyone thought I was fat. Pregnant women can get away with pretty much anything! But my legs probably glow in the dark, too! I always used to say that I put Casper to shame. And I couldn't tell you the last time I went to the beach in a bathing suit. Not even on my honeymoon cruise did I EVER put on my swimsuit. Maybe if we go on a cruise next year I'll be close enough to my goal to feel good in one! I'm not sure if that feeling ever goes away, though!

Hey Everyone! Thought maybe if I start posting once in a while, it might help me stay more motivated. I've been getting my 8+ glasses of water every day. I did a zumba class and ran 1 1/2 miles this morning. I am a little surprised at what a difference just keeping track of my food on here makes. I really don't work out any more than I used to, but I know what I'm putting into my body...and I'm more careful about what I put in there. I've lost weight every week I've been on here so far. Even though it's only 3 weeks....it's a start. I hope you all are doing well and best of luck. Drink that water!!!
