Trust me, I wish I was brave enough, or fit enough to take that kind of picture of myself and post it on a website.

But I can tell, when that day comes - I too will be posting a barely there pic, just to show off all the hard work it took to look like that.

Honestly, that they're starving for attention. There are pics that show hard work which are awesome.. then there are pics that just show T&A.

:/ are you implying that I didn't work hard for my T&A? My @$$ is one of my finest fitness achievements right now (ok its on its way to it anyway). You don't get to turn a flat saggy asian butt into a perky cute one without working hard for it.

Ha.. I'm working on my *kitten* as well....

The messy rooms in the background bother me more actually. lol

IMO, it shows how far they've come. It shows confidence and strength. I've yet to see any pics on this site that are borderline porn, so I see nothing wrong with ladies (and men) posting pics of their flat bellies. Motivates me to get off my butt so I can look like that someday... lol :)
  • I think we're all adults here and have no right to say whats right or wrong for any one else. The pics aren't hurting anyone and to be honest I think the only people that would have a problem with it are people that wish they had a body to show off. Good for you guys and gals that can take those pics I plan to be right there with you soon(ish)

I'm showing off my hard work. I've never had so much confidence as I do right now, and I'm gonna show of what I've been working so hard for. And guess what? When I reach my goal, you bet there's gonna be a pic of me in a teeny tiny bikini all up on MFP because I'm PROUD of my body and my success!!

Plus, people could stand to lighten up a bit. The human body is beautiful, and I haven't seen any pics on this site that I would find to be raunchy or inappropriate.

    Good for you Meredith!

i cant wait till my body looks good enough to show off! half naked!! i think my arms are super sexy right now but you really cant tell to much but im really proud!!!
  • I agree that we should keep it tasteful. Just because we are all adults on the site doesn't mean that we all want to have that blasted in our faces. If you want to show your goods, there are plenty of websites FOR that.

They've worked DAMN hard and have every right to post them.
And anyone who complains has got to be jealous....
If you got it, flaunt it baby.

I think it's fine as long as they are prepared for the onslaught of friend requests and private mail from the creeper/stalker type guys on here. Haha.

I prefer to think of them as half clothed. Also, posting down.

I think that's great. I love a woman with confidence.

Now turn the tables and it's just a dude with his shirt off...or better yet just a dude's awkwardly tensed up body...Find some class.

That's funny, I do recall you had such a photo in a Zyzz stance. Hypocrisy ftw!

Get over it! You sound upset because no one would like to see a semi-naked picture of YOU!

    i second this ^^
  • Good for them. Confidence like that can be harder to achieve than weightloss.

    Get it, girls.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

I think you have to realize that some of us came from being embarrassed about showing ANY skin and when you can go from that to being able to say 'Look what I did!' to your friends on MFP you do it not only to be confident and proud, but also to prove that they can do it too; to inspire others to what hard work and dedication can result in.
My profile pic is probably 'naughty' since you can see the booty but I was showing results from a serious 12 week program and that picture makes me smile every time. I might start to think it's not worth the hassle one day, see that picture and remember that it really is.

Maybe reframe this in a positive way instead of thinking people are trying to be pervy.

All I can say is the first chance I feel comfortable enough I am posting a picture of a banana hammock. Like it or not I dont care but I will feel awesome just knowing I could do it!! Never got to wear one before, never will wear it again but just once......

Tells me they're proud of their hardwork and are confident enough to show it. Why would you work your butt off to get the body you want and not be proud? It's better than being a hater.

I agree, there is way to much judging and hating on this site. Try enjoying the differences in people, what you think is not always going to be right for every person out there.

What do I think of girls that post up half naked pictures...

Well I see it like I see the girls that do crossfit....

    God Bless you..

I'm kidding partially! I mean look at it this way, we've all been busting our humps. Who wouldn't like a little feed back or brag a bit about what they've done. I mean it's not like people are posing sexually or dry humping inanimate object. Justs pictures where you can see what you see on the beach.

What about all the guys with pictures of the bare chest? How is that any different than a girl in a sports bra and underwear (which can cover more than some bikinis btw)? Double standards are for suckers. Do'nt be jealous cuz they can and will rock it and you don't.

I have no problem with the underwear pictures (boys or girls). You see worse than that on commercials on TV.

"X-rated"? "Porn"? Seriously? For a bikini or bra pic? How else are women supposed to show how far they've come in their fitness goals? Men can take shirtless photos without getting any grief. It's perfectly acceptable for a woman to take a picture in her bathing suit or bra to show decreased fat and/or increased muscle definition. I, for one, find it very inspiring! Keep it up, ladies!
