What do you think of girls that post up half naked pictures

Okay and how is it different than a swimsuit? I don't own one, so I took a picture in a bra and some boy short underwear
Does this offend you? Was this kind of stuff only meant for mature websites? I think not.
no, no, only when you bite your lip WHILE standing there all sassy like with your hand on your hip, THEN you're lumped in the "slut" category.0 -
Love them!0
-
There's needs to be more of them. That is all.0

I don't have much T, but I'm really proud of my A because it's something I've worked really hard on.
I applaud those who show some skin in their photos, because it's they tend to be the ones I use as role models for how to eat and exercise. Anyone can look good fully clothed.
Besides, what shows my progress better? In June 2011, I was 135#. In January/February 2012, I was around 133#.

Word. You have been one of MY inspirations on MFP for this very reason.0 -
They should send me FRs...0

You must be right... she must just be begging for male attention on the internet because with a body like that I'm sure she has a real hard time in the real world...0
-
^^This photo is from your own profile...is it not contradicting everything you said??
so taking a pic off her profile and posting it is your master plan to try and discredit her? no matter if you agree with the subject posted taking a pic thats not yours to post is bs.
If she didn't want it seen, it could have been made private. However, she had it posted publicly on a public site, so I did nothing wrong.0 -

Can't we all just get along! Sheeeesh!0

I usually only friend request girls that have half naked pictures.0

I think you have to realize that some of us came from being embarrassed about showing ANY skin and when you can go from that to being able to say 'Look what I did!' to your friends on MFP you do it not only to be confident and proud, but also to prove that they can do it too; to inspire others to what hard work and dedication can result in.
^^^THIS
currently I wear the same size jeans that I did in high school...after 6 weeks of intense workouts...I'm SUPER excited about that! BUT my belly isn't the same size that it was in high school, so I won't be posting pics...yet. I want to spare people from being grossed out. (my belly grosses me out, so I assume it will gross others out)
When one works so hard for something and finally achieve it, they want to brag.
If you won the lottery, you'd surely go out and buy a brand new car and drive it around to show off right?
When one loses weight it's like winning the lottery...their body is the 'brand new car' of course they want to show it off!
I have a cute new bikini hanging up in my workout room waiting for me when I finish my program!0 -
What is your opinion on girls that take pictures of themselves showing off or flaunting "their goods "in their bras, or arms covering what should be x rated?I think it's great if a girl has enough confidence to show themselves off like that, but can't we keep it tasteful? I'm sure she's posting the pictures to get attention from guys or maybe even other girls... Anyways I think its extremely distasteful and should not be allowed
I think if most people are honest than they would admit that a large fraction of the motivation to get slimmer is to be more attractive to others. I don't think anyone should apologize for that. Its very telling of your mindset that you've singled out women in your post, it speaks to a hatred (historical) hatred of the women who take charge of their sexuality.0 -

you still CAN be, gorgeous!!0 -
What is your opinion on girls that take pictures of themselves showing off or flaunting "their goods "in their bras, or arms covering what should be x rated? And post it on here? How much skin is acceptable to show in a photo? (and I'm not just talking about the bikini pics). Isn't this a fitness site?? Well I'm on here to get help with weight loss and fitness. I really don't need to see pic that you might be on a porn site. Don't get me wrong, I think it's great if a girl has enough confidence to show themselves off like that, but can't we keep it tasteful? I'm sure she's posting the pictures to get attention from guys or maybe even other girls... Anyways I think its extremely distasteful and should not be allowed
What convent are you from...0 -
If they would send them directly to my cell phone, it would save me the bother of logging in...0

uh no, for one pretty sure thats against the rules on this site, and two just becuase she posted a pic doesn't mean you should steal it for your lame come back.0 -

Definitely wasn't stolen. It's still on her profile. She still has possession of it.0 -
Well OP I can see this post went exactly as you had hoped. Hope you feel better after that rant and all of the supporting opionions you received. Hi-5.0

YOU LOOK FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
goal.... to rock my bod like you rock yours!!!0 -
I can understand where the poster is coming from. Everyone is jumping down her throat because they post progress pictures in bathing suits or bra & underwear, which is fine. I think she was probably referring to the people who take OBVIOUS T&A pictures just for the sake of showing it off. Which is fine - if you've got it, flaunt it. But I do believe that there is a line between classy & trashy.
The main thing is to just worry about yourself! Focus on your own weight loss and progress. If that's how other people want to show theirs off, let them. It seems silly to complain about something you have absolutely no control over.0 -
She must have been bored in order to post this.0
-
I have not seen any lewd profile pictures.
But, maybe they are challenges. I know that my MFP girlfriends, we challenge each other. Our first challenge was ab vacuums. Not who has the best..but do your best. And so, we all posted our ab vacuums, and you could see some of our boobs in sports bras or bathing suit tops.
The next one was butts.
This week is arms (that is why I am flexing in this pic)
Next challenge is calves.
But, I also have some bikini shots because I do this as a visual for me...that when I log in, I can be reminded that I need to work harder to attain my goal.0 -
again I think it's great if a girl has enough confidence to show themselves off like that, but I'm not talking about the bikini pics, even I have one of those..0
-
Do you find the shirtless dudes tasteless and offensive too?0
-
I don't mind, really. They are proud of what they've worked for, let them post it. Overall, this is a fitness website. I prefer seeing pics like mine (flexing in a workout bra), not so much the T&A pics. I like to see them because it keeps me motivated and gives inspiration. I've found friends with similar goals just by seeing their avatar.
ETA: I also like seeing bikini shots. My ultimate goal is to wear one.0 -
Or maybe, JUST maybe she's showing off her hard work.
