Strength training gave me big manly muscles! (or not)

My argument FOR strength training (I’ll let the pictures do most of the talking. I'm 5'10" btw):
Before (294 lbs, approximately 56% body fat):



Now (156 lbs, approximately 22% body fat or maybe a little less):





Here are my big “manly” muscles.

One question, did you ONLY do strength training or did you incorporate cardio as well?
I just started New Rules for Women on Tuesday (super sore) and have decided to cut my cardio for a while-or until my body doesn't hurt so bad!0 -
